Happy Earth Day!! I want to share a tip for going green: Instead of using paper towels, I use a rag bin. It saves a lot of paper, and doesn't take up hardly any space in the washing machine. This simple step has really made a difference.

    Happy Earth Day EVERYBODY """""

for the longest time ' when the weather agree's with the body'
we would pick up all the ttree twiggs in the yard, and in the streets, on the walks, then i will rake my yard, as that : leavesn the air smelling fresh, and clean air. and when you rake" your moving all the joints in your body, witch will leave less back pain later on. + and like me alot" i clean alot ' ( im in good shape.

and i was allways yelled at when i was growing up " if i was to use paper towels to clean any windows or to shine – crome, u will find if ya use news paper to clean any windows ' it leaves the windows streack free for like 3 months.+ when it rains , ( the rain will roll down the windows in beads. that's also moving all the joints in your arms. ( its good excersizing )

So President Obama's contribution on this Earth Day is to take a trip to Iowa to speak about Earth Day using three VH-3D marine helicopters (one for Marine One and two as decoys), Air Force One and at least one C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, posibly two, to transport the entire Presidential motorcade which can consist of 10 to 30 vehicals.

Talk about a carbon footprint. What a way to set an example

Typical Obama, DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO!

And he call himself a LEADER?

How does painting the roof of long beach arena a dark color absorbing more heat and requiring more energy to cool the arena help the planet on earth day? There must be better ways to raise awareness of earth day.

I just saw your "buy or make rain barrels" segment and I wanted to let you know that promoting rain barrels without getting into the need to keep all sources of still and stagnant water, especially rain water, is helping the invasive Asian Tiger Mosquitoes put citizens at risk of Dengus Fever and West Nile Virus. The Asian Tiger is an aggressive species and lays its eggs and lives near peoples homes who have any sitting water. The mosquito has destroyed the previous mosquito population and has swallowed the south east. This species needs more public awareness as the diseases it carries are deadly and all too common. Rain barrels are the PERFECT breeding environment. I hope you have the foresight to say something to your viewers. Do the research if you dont believe me

While it is good that you are featuring good things to do for the environment, especially the rain barrels, instead of saying make sure to recycle your water bottles, tell people to buy stainless steel bottles and use tap water, which is usually at least as good as bottled. Plastic water bottles are clogging landfills and they last forever.

I agree with Kayvon Gerami, I heard the so called tip about purchsing rain barrels to use as a water source....a bad Idea especially for individuals in my city of New Orleans. Mosquitoes nest and lay their eggs around still water this could be a major problem if ppl implement this strategy...an increase in west nile cases is just one of the potential problems that this idea can produce.

    Everyone should go topless!
What I mean by this is millions of people everyday eat fast food and that means millions of lids and straws are headed for landfills. I see people all of the time get their food, fill their cup, cap it with a lid, get a straw and then.. Sit in the dinning room! People you can still just drink out of a cup!

    So everyone go toppless

I'm getting tired of all this carbon emission talk. Have we forgotten elementary school sience. Humans breath out carbon dioxide, and plants breath in carbon dioxide. So if all the "green" people would stop breathing for five minutes a day, then just think of the change it would make. There would be so much more oxygen and less carbon deposit. I saw a commercial for Dominos suger. They said that their suger cane is grown without carbon. That is impossible. Their is no way that you can grow a carbon dioxid breathing plant can grow without carbon. Let's get real about this whole thing. If their is a carbon problem, then it's because we keep cutting trees to build new buildings. There are alot of places closing down. Instead of building new use that building or rebuild on that location. Well that's part of my view. The rest is that we keep worry about the wrong things. The Bible says the Jesus is coming back to take the saints home to heaven, then the earth will be burnt off and rebuilt. So people stop making money your god, cause money can't buy or fix everything. Only God can fix everything. So let's stop worrying about the troubles of this world, and turn lives over to God. He can handle any problem you have. Well, that's all I have to say. God bless everyone!

    Thanks Richard,
CNN needs to look into what I am talking about. The Tiger Mosquito is the most difficult species of mosquito to erraticate. They are one of the only species that are out feeding on peoples blood durring the day as opposed to night time. The females will lay their eggs in any free standing water. it's revelance to earth day is huge! Litter: cups, to-go boxes, plates, tires, oil drums, (anything that will hold rain water, help this species grow and flourish and further hold our health at ransom. So cleaning up our yards, our streets, our highways, will help the problem. Foggers, sprays, mosquito and fly zappers DO NOT WORK, the ventilators that are required to catch and kill these bugs is expensive and not readily available. So if not for Earth Day, for the sake of getting rid of those nasty blood suckers, pick up garbage and recycle tires!

All the credit cards are doing is making it harder to pay them. They will have more write offs because of this. Why should I be the one to make up for the people who don't pay?
