The 100 Black Men of America do incredible work all over the nation and around the globe. I really enjoyed this interview with CNN's T.J. Holmes. It add a unique element to the day's normal doom and gloom reporting. Great goob 100, TJ and CNN!

Great piece. I particularly enjoyed hearing how one of the men spoke about the relationship between President Obama and Michelle. It is refreshing to hear a man speak on what he sees exemplified in their relationship and how they truly appear to be one another's friend. My hope is that as President Obama, First Lady Michelle and the First Family search for their new spiritual leader and church home they choose a Pastor whose own personal example of marriage and family is in alignment with the powerful, and oh, so beautiful example that they portray to not only our nation, but the world. Also, excellent choice of selecting Tony Dungey! Thank you.

Re: Why waste billions on waste?

Dear News Manager:

The US Department of Defense has been storing their nuclear waste the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in New Mexico since March 26, 1999. Why spend 90 billion dollars to dig a new hole when we already have an old one that can do the same thing?

Thank you.

It would take more time than I have to educate 70 year old Ms. or Mrs. Eline about life as an African American (and the unspoken, cultural way Black men communicate with each other) except to say that I am a Mississippian and because of the rape of many Black women, many African American families are multi-racial. We as African Americans with whites in the family tree choose to affiliate with our African American experience based on our upbringing, culture, history and treatment based on brown skin in America. Being raised by white grandparents does not stop the cop who pulls you over in NY, CA, or Alabama and shoots you or tries to bash your head in because he fears Black men.

Now, T.J. please plan to have a separate conversation with Black women leaders. I did not see your panel as "leaders of the Black community", but leaders of specific organizations in the Black community (which is not monolithic). I tire of news media designating people as "Black leaders". I also tire of Black women working so hard and not being recognized for their leadership and being the glue that holds the Black community together despite chauvanism/sexism and racism among the other isms and domestic violence/abuse.
Where is Mayor Franklin? Where are the sister leaders -ministers, Heads of 100 Black women and sororities, legislators, educators, engineers, etc.

Also, I am a tech person working in the environment, health and higher ed. As an African American, Southerner, "geek" and "enviro", I have some opinions that would be broader than your so called "Black leaders" who traditionally come from the education and faith communities.

I am a 70 year old white women and after listening to the interview of T J Holmes with black men on Obama, I am furious that they did not make mention that President Obama was raised by his White grandparents.
"One of their own" was a statment made many times. Wrong! He is one of our own. God forbid that a white person would make that statement, we would be considered racial.
How dare they claim that is a brother thing to embrace when they meet each other. Where do they think Obama learned this surely not from his father?
I would be heart broken if my 3 biracial granddaughters, 1 Japanese American & 2 African American, did not reconize me.

ON average people don't like change because it affects them. But I feel change is very good for our country I feel that the president is doing the best job that he can considering what this country has done to itself. I feel that those who profited from the economic crisis should pay the cost to be their own bosses. Greed has taken over .I want it now it doesent matter that I cant afford it. Give president Obama a chance we have had eight years of being duped and sold down the river. I hope that the people whohelped send our jobs across the water are satisfied , protest by not using thes companies. I cancelled my att account because I couldnt understand what they were saying and the didnt have anyone there who could help me educate yourself on the history of our country so that you canunderstand what really happened.
