My sister lives in Santa Barbara and has been evacuated to a building at UCSB. She said that the total population of Santa Barbara is approx. 100,000. Since 20,000 people have been evacuated and 30,000 are in the warning area, that is half the population.
I was wondering who I would direct the following question to?
Why are banks who recieved bailout funds being allowed to sell assets as they serve as collateral for the money I or we loaned them? After all they wouldn't let me sell off any part of the security for any of the loans they give anyone. Why don't the same rules apply to them?
