First impressions say a lot, sometimes without saying much. Sometimes people say & do things out of ignorance without thinking, & people have to assume & read between the lines. It is unfortunate that the adults are acting like kids. I think in the end the adults & kids can learn from this incident. I guess that means closed to the public. So if the swim club did not have any black members, and all of the sudden a bunch of black kids show up.. someone is going to say "where did all of these black kids come from". To be more proper, maybe they should have called them "brown" kids. If I saw a white child walk in to a room full of black people, I would refer to him as the "white" kid. My 12 year olds were using words larger than that at the young age of 6 in proper context, thats because they were taught and not just repeating something they heard.
