Josh Drives Electric Car

As reports today, the big automakers are betting on electric cars. But there are also smaller companies edging their way into the game. Join us in the CNN Newsroom Saturday morning, as our Josh Levs goes for a spin in an “electric car” that’s available right now. It may not be the answer to all your driving needs – even the maker says it isn’t. But it just might be a step toward the future.

Join TJ Holmes and Betty Nguyen weekend mornings in the CNN Newsroom, beginning 6am ET/3am PT.

Im not a fan of electric cars due to the fact that there slower than regular cars, there very small, and you have to charge them on a regular. I would rather just have a car that runs on gasoline and getting to where I need to go in a timely manor. To travel anywhere in electric cars people would be in there cars far to long.

Josh needs to drive the Tesla . Those oversized golf carts he test drove have been around for years. They have no real future in the electric vehicle market. Josh, get in a Tesla. I suggest you bring a change of underwear.

We need much more information. Is it more efficient or not? So what if it doesn't use gasoline. It still requires energy from coal or natural gas. Coal and natural gas are much cheaper than oil but you have to convert it to electricity and transmit it through power lines. What are the advantages? And how much will we have to expand the capacity of the grid to support it? Who will pay for it?

Sorry but it should have happened 10-15 years ago. GM will just start again building those gas guzzlers because they make more money. GM will turn around when they stop the running of the bulls in Spain, that's how stubborn they are, they just do what they want not what they need to do according to what the public want.

cash for clunkers is an identical black hole as buying homes with 0 downpayment it will heal the economy but it will not cure it is like giving chemo therapy to cancer patient in long run it will hunt the economy back please do not push americans into another black hole government has done a lot of good things so far but they have not placed them in right places if you want to make a picture with puzzels you have to place them in right places otherwise you will have ugly result you can not build a house without foundation first spend money on foundation than decide how much money you will spend to build a house meaning go back to normal unemployment figure than push people to spend accurate is recent unemployment figures is an another issue only God knows and white house i remain skeptical
