  1. World War 2, Veterans Honory Flight to DC

Hello, I have somrthing exciting to share with you what my employer
Hy-Vee Food Stores Grocery Chain (in 7 midwest states) . They had a lottery drawing to send I believe 350 WW2 veterans to fly out to DC at no charge to them to see WW2 memorial etc....... They fly out of Des Moines, Ia. August 10th, Along with they will also get special attention
the night before, first they will go to a hotel by the airport get their picture taken for a special plaque. Then they will be escorted by local police in their persnoal carss to West Des Moines, Ia. this is about a ten mile bergade, to our Corporate Office. Then they will have a very formal dinner and they may have one guest.

This is so exciting to me because, my deceasded father was a WW2 vet and my son is an Iraq vet. When I was asked to help serve the dinner it brought tears to my eyes and goose pumps. If it wasn't for our cuurent Soliders and Veterans, the United States wouldn't be what it is today........

Should you have any interset in the faboulous event, it's such a POSITIVE story. It also shows that Military Veterans are NOT FORGOTTEN !!!!!!! Our Corporate contact is Laura Fulton phone 515-267-2800

Thank-You, Marilyn McCleary I'm not sure if I am on the correct place on your web-site, but if not please forward to persons of interst
like Anderson Cooper etc......... This event will touch many lives, Hy-Vee may do a second fight for additional WW2 VETs, that didn't make this event. They even have doctors going on trip as well, in case one of the vets may need assistance.
