You know President Obama could say ,"all kids should eat apples" and people would say he was pushing some agenda. The guy is not given a chance with anything. CNN please do some reporting reflecting a lot of us who want to give him a chance to take care of things, it's just that we aren't loud screaming crazies so we never make the news.

The republicans are re-branding themselves the “Paranoid Party”. They continue to ignite fear across America. Now they are afraid to allow the president to speak to the youth of America. I say, let him speak…..let him engage the young people. Allow the young people to ask questions……at least I know they have not been influenced by lobbyist.

It's so sad to see a controversy emerge about our children viewing a Presidential speech to encourage them to work harder and study. Those who oppose his speech might have faired better intellectually had they studied harder. I'm led to think that those who oppose Obama's speech to school children are those who want to take "God" out of our Constitution, possibly a lifelong ACLU member, or want to make this a political issue. As a teacher of 30 years, I have always appreciated those encouraging children to apply themselves, learn good work ethics, and make decisions on their own. If it's so objectionable to some parents, let them discuss the speech with their kids over the dinner table and then the parents can have their rebuttle. As a parent, think about what you're teaching your child by keeping them out of school for the entire day because of a 30 minute speech to encourage the importance of learning.

I have a feeling that these pyromaniacs are organized and possibly communicating through the internet. I suspect if you find this link, you will find these people.

It is Outrageous that in times as hard as this, when we as a country, are divided and struggling, these vigilantes add to the total demise of our state by setting wildfires claiming the lives of …. hundreds of thousands animals, vegetation, many homes and some human.

These fire-starters should be sentenced to life in a labor prison replanting, cleaning up the mess they left! Leniency only creates more of these creatures. Enough is enough!!!

The president addressing the children of the USA will create several wonderful things.

The children, for the first time, will fill important and included regardless of their age. This provides an increase in self esteem and self worth.

The children can now join in a discussion regardless of educational level

Parents who withhold their child from school, will only make their child feel left out thus adding to lowering their self esteem

The children are always the ones who suffer from their parent’s Very sad for the children who will be left out!

Listening to these parents complain, whine, and throw out the “socialist” word is very embarrassing for me. The world is watching and now realizing the number of people we have in the USA, whom are completely uneducated and ignorant!

Maybe Bush was right! Stay secret; do not let the American people know anything. Treat us as we have a 3rd grade education.

Obviously, we can not tolerate a transparent administration!!!

I have come to the conclusion that the major problem is: the educational level and intelligence of Pres. Obama goes way beyond the scope of these parents’ understanding!!! No wonder they are afraid and angry!
