Cop Catches Escaped Killer... Again

It was a bit of déjà vu for Detective Roger Knight last week; Phillip Paul, a confessed killer found 'not guilty by reason of insanity', had escaped from his mental hospital for the SECOND time.

Detective Knight recaptured Paul the first time around. And now, he's 2-for-2!

Kyra talked to the Spokane County (Wash.) officer in Monday's first hour.

UPDATE: just came across this gem in a write-up by CNN Spokane affiliate KXLY:

The judge that signed the order returning him to the hospital also ordered that he would get no more field trips and he had to remain in custody until further notice.

There should be criminal charges pending for the peson/people who determined this guy was eligible for a 'field trip'. They should at least remain unemployable in the mental health field.

Theres no excuse for the guy being allowed escape not once but twice! While you praise the cop society was endanger because of law enforcement not doing their jobs! They seem to worried more about tasing someone till they die! You guessed it I have no respect for cops, as they act above the law and within their own they will lie for fellow cops even if it means covering up for a cop who broke the law! If Obama really wanted to do something for the good of all of Americas citizens he would set up a cop czar to investigate these law breakersin all states, counties, cities! Cops should be held to a higher standard than the rest of us because of the oath they took! That oath does NOT include lying, stealing, embezzlement, and even murder! If we can NOT trust our law enforcement than how does law enforcement expect us to respect them? Its a simple question with a simple answer!

If anyone out there wanders whats wrong with our judicial system that gave this man time in a hospitol rather than life in maximum security prison, blame the liberals for putting your children in danger by taking it so easy on these obvious criminals! Judges like Sotomayor is why we have common criminals running the streets! According to judges like her these rapists, child molestors, murders, have as much right as one who obeys the law...............ummmm no they most certainly should not! If we were tougher on these low lifes then we wouldnt have the amount of problems associated with them! Go to the middle east and see how many thieves you come across, I bet none because they take care of the problem once and for all there by cutting your damn hand off, thats the way it should be here as well! Over there you rape a child you either die or get you junk cut off! This is what they should be doing here insteaqd of pandering to the criminal! No more cable tv, bring back the chain gangs!

There are good cops and bad cops. If they are bad they need to be weeded out of the position. And let's face it some of them are bad and racist. They need to be dealt with, but I don't respect any man or woman who lie, steal, embezzle, and murder! We look at cops and hold them to higher standard, but we don't hold each other to high standards. As a black female I get tired of black males killing each other over something as ignorant as drugs and how someone looks at you or even worse there "turf". Yet they own nothing. I get tired of looking at young males black, white, spanish, walking around with "prison pants" on. "Prison pants" are pants that hang below the rear, so that when they go to prison they are ready to be raped! Not only do we need cops czar for the police, we need it for the general population. In other words the cops are not the only messed up loose cannons in this country. Listen to the news!

Detective Roger Knight deserves a special thanks for capturing the confessed killer Phillip Paul, not once but twice. The administrator of the mental hospital needs to be fired immediately, along with the people who accompanied the group to the fair, who did not even let anyone know about the escape for TWO HOURS. How on earth could anyone in an administrative position possibly explain the decision to allow a convicted killer to be taken to a place where families gather? He simply walked away from the guards. The administrative office needs to experience a thorough house cleaning, top to bottom.
