'Reconciliation showdown', 'my way or the highway'? 51 votes is a Majority in the Senate Chambers PERIOD. It's not forcing nor even a showdown, its a UP or DOWN vote with 51 US Senators needed to pass a bill.

Democratic US Senators should use reconciliation rules to pass ALL bills and place the US Government back into business instead of fighting the quagmire and obstructionist Republican US Senate minority who always finds funding to expand the US Military and some 500 US Military bases overseas while gutting all essential Domestic spending.

The Democratic lawmakers in the House, Senate and White House need to find the courage and spine to stand up and fight tooth and nail to turn America away from further wars in the Middle East AND re-direct the enormous US Military spending to rebuild, repair and replace badly dilapidated infra-structures thru-out America.
