Mark Williams Sorry For “Sloppy Execution” Of Racial Blog Posting

Tea Party Express Spokesman Mark Williams resigned from the group Friday, saying the media coverage over his controversial comments on race had become too much of a distraction. In an interview with CNN, Williams discusses the posting on his blog that led to accusations of racism, explaining why he still defends the idea behind it, but laments his “sloppy execution” of it. He also criticizes the firing of Shirley Sherrod, and shares whether he thinks he has a future within the Tea Party movement.

I find it remarkably offensive that a man like this would literally wrap himself in the American flag. His words and opinions are such anathema to what America is supposed to stand for, but unfortunately, they do seem to represent a growing cancer within "the home of the free".

Mr. Williams, so you are sorry? Now that's a bunch of Bull. That American flag outfit you are wearing is inappropriate, in fact it is downright vulger being worn by the likes of you. It is the equivalent of burning and spitting on the flag! I base this in part on your 'purging' the GOP comment a few months back. Appropriate wearing apparel for you would be a 'swastika'. You have been labeled a 'National Socialist', in other words an 'American Nazi'. Why do I say this? Your reputation preceeds you and you have 'earned' it. Now, go crawl on your knees on this one.

I think that Mark Williams story For “Sloppy Execution” Of Racial Blog Posting was intentional. The Tea Party movement seems to keep bringing up race instead of real issues that they have no solutions for. They want to scare the Southern Conservatives into believing that there is a threat from the Liberal Democrats. They playing "Chicken Little" by posting these stories.

I feel that the actions of the 2 major political parties have driven a large sector of the the American public to seek an alternate option for representation. The Tea Party has some good points, but I feel too many of them come a little too close to proposing armed revolution. They are pulling together a lot of extreme ideas in order to pull in followers in larger numbers. I feel that we need to overhaul the system from the inside out. Past legislatures have set up a set of "rules" that are detrimental to the country, and only a new group dedicated to changing those rules (such as earmarks) can get it accomplished. The "old timers" are not going to give up their "power" and the public suffers as a consequence, We need to find a way to get those people out and new rules put in place. The professional politicians lie to the public in order to get elected, and too many people listen to those lies, vote them in and are then disappointed when they follow the "party rules" instead of what those who elected them expected.
