Apocalypse...Nah

An awful lot of publicity preceded the prediction that faithful Christians would be raptured on May 21, 2011. CNN's Don Lemon asked actor Stephen Baldwin, who is an evangelical Christian, why he and many other Christians did not believe the hype.

That's because people knew this wasn't going to happen, and wanted to make fun of these Cult followers. Paying money and following a false prophet. He wanted attention, and he got it. Too bad people think he's a nutt.

I just wanted to comment on this so called end of time thing yeterday. That was obviously a hoax, but lets not forget the real predictions of Nostradamus and the ancient mayans which points to the significance of the date December 21st, 2012. No one knows why the mayan calendar ends on that date and or what that may mean. The book of Revelations in the bible talks about signs, terrible events such as severe weather, tornadoes, earthquakes, sunami's, floods, rivers flowing backward, which we have now on the Mississippi, so the signs are beginning to become more frequent as we get closer to that date. The world may not end on that date, but I believe it to be very significant, perhaps becoming the final era before the end, and christ returns, how long this period will be, no one knows, but I believe we will see a sign of some type, on this date, so that the people of the world will know. God bless all, and lets all pray for peace to come to all mankind.

I have lots of faith but I haven't been to church in years and have never read the bible cover to cover so I couldn't say with any authority what the bible really does say about the end of days but I never believed it would be Saturday, May 21st, 2011. It's my opinion that all a person can really do is be honest, have faith and live a good clean life and let the chips fall where they may. You can't let yourself get caught up in the hype over who is going to heaven and who isn't going. Just because a person goes to church every Sunday doesn't mean they have a lock on going to heaven. I've been around more than one person who goes to church but doesn't practice christian values the rest of the time.

    Passage Matthew 24:24:

24For there shall arise false christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I think this is why Christians these days are being looked down and made a fool of. Don't predict the day! Just be ready!
