Under new guidelines, states could opt out of federal mandates to show improvements in math and reading scores by 2014. CNN's Brooke Baldwin interviews Michelle Rhee, the former Chancellor of D.C. public schools.
YES!!! It is time that Education can get back to educating kids. NCLB has been a cancer for the last seven years and has devastated education and more importantly the future of many children who have been left behind. Every child no matter what their status is on the ladder only had one chance at each grade and one chance at a k-12 education most of the kids who have had to endure this for the past seven years have lost their chance. If the republicans are really worried about entitlement programs and want to cut government THEN make sure that we have the strongest education system in the world so that our kids won't need to be taken care of and can go all over the world and take care of themselves. This is not rocket science. However, I think that most of these alien republicans were probably educated at the BUSH school and were Not Children Left Behind...because they are sure not logical people. WAY TO GO OBAMA! Also, brilliant to go all over the country and showcase the Republican states which are falling apart. If they can't fix their own state then how can they fix the NATION....!!!???? Come on people get out the vote.
So students can't pass the tests! Do you think that fact might show that schools need to do a better job teaching reading, math, history, science, and deductive reasoning?
So what is the liberal solution? Since students can't pass the tests, then simply stop testing. Outrageous!
The federal government needs to get out of the education business! Please God, save America from well-intentioned but misguided liberals and an incompetent President Obama.
