CNN's Suzanne Malveaux speaks with two who were vacationing on the Costa Concordia cruise ship and escaped via life raft.
Regarding Chad Myers commentary on the video played with Brooke around 2:36 p.m. EST, it may be semantics but I don't think so. Question/comment is...does he have his facts correct, before representing them on public TV? 1. Has it not been reported that the occupancy of the ship was 4,200 souls, not 3,200 as Chad mentioned? 2. I am a certified Advanced Open Water Diver per PADI and I have done actual spelunking. Did Chad mis-match terminology? Typically, we consider "spelunking" to be land cave exploring, not underwater cave exploring. Under PADI reg's, to dive underwater caves, we must obtain "Cave Diver's" Certification. The technical term of spelunking does not automatically apply to underwater caves as Chad eluded to. Regrets for the semantics but we expect accuracy from these news casters...even to technical degrees for those of us who have expertise in fields being discussed. Thank you.
Did any crew members die on the Costa Concordia, or were they all hapless passengers?
