I think it says something about our society and how we view our women in this country that this is a story. That the notion of women making more money than their male partners is so shocking that they have to actually report it on the news. I think it's ridiculous. I think the point of this story is to lift women up and show them that "see, women make more than men" but really you're saying "we are so shocked that women make more than men that we have to do a story on it". It's along the same lines as the fairly big story of Christina Aguilera and Tony Lucca's "feud" about his song choice on the t.v. show "The Voice". It was apparently so shocking that she would be offended by the song choice (even if he censored himself) that it made the news that she was offended and the fact that she was, in fact, called that word that was censored because she complained about the song choice in the first place. Talking about these issues doesn't help women, it further shows the degradation that we face because it seems so surprising that these events occur.

I was also at the Crunchup to announce our own new Twitter asiretvding model called Adtweets which is a new ad-platform that allows established ad-networks to leverage the power of the retweet (something we feel we have extensive knowledge within.) by allowing current display adverts to gain a retweetable element. If you want to read the full details we have a separate post.
