After an Israeli strike kills a Hamas leader, Hamas says it is now in an "open war" with Israel and vows to retaliate. Aaron David Miller of the Woodrow Wilson Institute discusses the tactic of targeting specific military leaders in the midst of uncertainty.

"After an Israeli strike kills a Hamas leader, Hamas says it is now in an "open war" with Israel..."
Sounds pretty comical considering that Hamas declared a war on Israel and on every Jew since the day it wasa established. Was it a "closed" war until now?
Did anyone else notice that their were people and a car pulling out when the van was hit?
That's the problem with drone and airstrikes. There's a blast radius that can go out over 1000 ft.
It wasn't a clean kill when civilians where the van stopped are also killed.
This only raises emotions in the population prolonging the conflict.
