While a discussion of gun control needs to be a huge part of our response to this latest horrific action, a bigger part must be the issue of mental problems. Too many of the perpetrators have been mentally challenged. Your reporters appear ro be unwilling to discuss those issues ; their focus is the gun control. I have been following this since yesterday and some of the reporters have actually been rude in interrupting the speakers who have wanted to discuss the mental part of the problem. Thank you, Dave Cullen, for your clear picture.

  2. A Parent

As a parent I think I speak for all parents around the world who want to express their sorrow at the unspeakable events of Friday. I am not a religious man but tonight I say a prayer for all of you. If you can, take comfort in the fact that your children are surely in heaven with God..

Again the Republicans are on the wrong side of history. We can ask and should ask, if the republican party hadn't fought against GUN CONTROL , could or would this horrific massacre have been avoided. If it takes something this terrable for them to consider altering their position reguarding gun control, they should accept responsibility for the deaths of all these inocent babys and adults. In the weeks to come, I am sure they will voice their opposition to gun control again, once the air has cleared and memories fade. We know these office holders for the republican party are without conscience. Knowing this, do we hold them responsible or the people who contenually elect these monsters to conduct public policy. I don't know how to correct these flaws in our public policy, but a solution must be found, we can't continue to see our people publiclly murdered while a small percentage of the population forces us to bow to their demands to be prepared for war in our streets.

They hold us hostage with the debt limit nonsence. This fight hurts us all. Even people in other countries are involved since our economy affects them also. This discusting bunch of morons who call themselfs republicans must be contained or stopped. They have done enough damage.
