Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary in Cuba. Two Florida congresspersons call the visit "shameful". The representatives want to know if the trip was even legal. Was the trip good fun or just plain wrong? Brooke put that question to CNN Newsroom's pop culture panel.
They went to Cuba? Oh! How distressing. Next to the billion people starving and dying on the planet this is a serious concern and meanwhile Cuba is placing more medical personnel in the Americas to alleviate that problem then even the US. By the way, doesn't the US government allow travel to Saudi Arabia (where women can be executed for driving a car); Myanmar and Syria where military executions of freedom advocates are the "soup du jour" and finally into North Korea (and we know what they're like).
It really is time to move beyond the JFK century and open Cuba to US travel!
Old Fidel & his brother have thumbed their nose's at us for many years while the everyday person suffers. The U.S.A. has made "friends" with almost every country we have fought against. Why not Cuba?
