I have been an amputee for fifty years and have had a successful life. I contribute my success to not having self-pity You must remember that there are people who still love and care about you and you them. I still have an active life and do pretty much what I want to do. Sometimes our loses set use on even better coarse in life. I my case it gave a moe to fight for. I had to prove to myself that nothing would stop me from doing what I wanted to do. I doing it and doing it well. For those out there who have loss leg and limb, I say life is not over. This is a new beginning. Make most of your life and don't dwell on what could have been but, what can. Live life to the fullest and take one day at a time. Life has many challenges.
