Maybe it's not a rise in popularity. It's the rise in certain populations (welfare recipients) that has increased the demand.

Oxy and morphine are readily available to kids these days. These are heroin analogs. Physicians are getting people addicted and heroin use is the natural alternative when the meds dry up. It may be a mystery to some but to those of us working in the industry its quite obvious.

    It's no wonder.
Daily life in the USA sucks for everyone but the 10%.
Hard opiate(heroin, demerol, dilaudid, morphine) high is soooo good of a feeling.. floating on a big soft cloud...

Why go to work and deal with all that stress and drama when you can sit at home high and go to the mailbox for your welfare /unemployment/foodstamps.

Foreign countries want to flood this country with drugs so one day, when everybody's high, they can walk in and take the US, without a fight. Several years ago, Clinton gave China their own port in San Diego. China was using this port to flood this country, with Saturday night special guns. ABC did a special report on this, and China finally lost their use of this port. Between China, Russia, and the Middle East, flooding this country with cheap drugs, and cheap guns, we're in bad trouble.

Just Say No was so good we now have stupid drug users by lack of common sense understanding. These are the kids of the just say no era and they have no clue. I know, doing drugs has no common sense but there is no group knowledge anymore. This is being talked about in all the wrong places. How many people in the demographic mentioned in the video are watching CNN? ZERO!!! The younger, what I'll call kids, have no one their age doing anything to help them stop that I know of. They don't talk. I have seen them texting the person right next to them.

People will not listen to misinformation the way they did in the 70's>(marijuana is a gateway drug and causes cancer)The gentleman claiming 2-3 times can get you addicted is wrong it takes much longer for dopamine receptors to screw themselves up bad enough to cause a habit. Naltroxone however is an excellent tool to give family members to combat death by o.d.. Stop war on drug's-It's keeping generations of ghetto raised individuals ability to make fast money and no remorse to kill.Legalize and set up programs to help people get off herion/methadone painlessly instead of cold turkey. Something like 80-90% go back to using

Take a look at purdue pharmaceuticals who lied about the addictivness rate of oxycotin to mass distribute it to the white middle class,,take a look at Rudy Guiliani involvement with protecting purdue pharmaceuticals executives from incarceration...look at our defense department who manipulated the price of opium in Afganastan by limiting supply to bring the price up threefold and then allowing production to all time highs with the price remaining at all time high and now look at all the heroin in the streets that the mass media has ignored for the past 5 years...what a horse and pony show with politicians propped up as czars against drug abuse creating this addiction rate.....and take a look at reckitt industries makers of suboxone who are business partners with purdue pharmaceuticals. Addiction a billion dollar cottage industry ruining a whole generation of children offering Rudy Guiliani and his cronies a run at a presidential seat....only in America

In todays news reporting clever journalists function their very own slant into a story. Bloggers use it promote their works and a lot of just use it for enjoyable or to stay in touch with buddies far away.
