Asheley, I think it is a shame that Dunn did not get charged with murder of the 1st degree. I am a white person and I see racism everywhere. It matters not if it was not discussed in court but I and many others I know do not think that black people are treated the same as white. When will this end? Disgusted at the verdict in the state of NH

Just watched a segment of your news show and listening to your personal opinion on a person in the news today. Americans should demand news shows to stick with the news and not let personal opinions interfere with reporting it. I miss Walter Cronkite!!!! Now there was a newscaster you could respect.

Death Penalty: If the punishment can be different, life in prison or the death penalty. Why is the burden of proof the same for most states, "beyond a reasonable doubt." Maybe the death penalty should require a different burden of proof, for example, "no doubt." Legislators would be busy figuring out the specifics, but maybe less innocent people would be put to death.

Ashleigh today you had several segments with Don Lemon and Mel ?, in one of those segments they ATTACKED a guest! If you are going to SIT THERE and let things like that happen then you should NOT be surprised that fewer and fewer people are going to agree to come onto your show! SURE the guy said something controversial, that does NOT give your fellow 'guests/co-anchors/whatever' to ATTACK them!!! I generally like your show and usually learn or have new ways of looking at things, but after todays show I will be watching with a MUCH more critical eye!!! I EXPECT things like that from OTHER news organizations, but NOT CNN!!!

Re firing squads: Wonder if the Utah representative is a Mormon or pandering to Mormon beliefs. They believe something like "blood needs to be spilled on the ground" to atone for crimes. Wonder if they're trying to sneak this back into law.

I have to comment on the VA in Salisbury,N.C.. I had not been seen since 2007 and called recently and got an appt within 7 days. I was really inpressed with the service I received. I felt like a VIP and the appt was routine no emergency. I was seen by DR. Gehle in the silver clinic and could not have asked for any better service.

In regards to robery and beaten clerk story; what ever happened to the death penalty? We cannot afford to put these people away. There are much more worthy causes than the disreguard of social responsibility. Much like this New Mexico police story. Why should these people ever be allowed to work in public sevice again let alone at mcdonalds. Violating public trust should have the same consequences as a military dishonorable discharge, a felon trying to find employment or simply a needle to the arm and we have justice. Peolple would be stupid to make the attempt.

Ashleigh Banfield, I am starting to enjoy and respect your style of news and interviewing more and more. I see now why CNN and America is losing the great educated and informed news people it used to have just 15 years ago. Its being replaced with people like Fredricka and low class uninformed people and people from other countries who come here and pretend to understand people and the world and all they really know is how Kim Kardashian should dress, rappers, or whats hot on youtube. They disrespect education, each other, the elderly, and even veterans. I hope CNN holds on to you and promotes you because you are one of the few people on CNN left I can honestly understand and respect.

Ashleigh. You seem determined to re-label all the illegal immigrant children arriving at our Southern border, from Central America, as "refugees". If that is the case why doesn't Mexico or Venezuela accept and accommodate them ? They are large neighboring countries which would be the logical places to flee to if they are really in danger. It seems to me the children are being used by their parents to jump the legal immigration queue and gain access into the US without going through the process.

Ashleigh, you seem to forget we have starving American children right here in America. You probably know some. We need to take care of our people and stop sending money to third world countries where dictators steal the money and become wealthy. It's interesting to note that we live in a country that doesn't hesitate to kill children in their mother's womb and yet the womb of our country is being impregnated with children from other countries. These people are a band of diesease redden gang bangers to suck our social services dry! But hey they will grow up to vote democrat for a living ... right? we can't take care of our own broken children in this country or give our veterans basic health care they deserve but we can dump billions of dollars into more failed programs to fix this kids? It's time to stop the maddness!

But wouldn't that be nice to save the world we have already sacrificed our young and not to mention treasure (tax dollars). My grandfather was a VN vet and I dare you/anyone to enlist and go spend the next 2 or 3 years in a combat zone trying to keep from being killed and ohhh, try to keep the sand out of your orifices.

    Get it together, Ashleigh!

SEND ALL ILLEGALS HOME , THEY ARE COSTING US TO MUCH, AND CRASHING OUR SYSTEM, AND WE DON'T NEED THEM , SEND THEM BACK, TAKE CARE OF AMERICANS FIRST.... AND NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Name*Allen

Ms Banfield, your strong support of ILLEGAL ALIENS entering this country is not less than treasonous. Your ignorance of the fact that citizens other than you will be paying for their illegitimate presence here is totally incomprehensible, for us working class folks anyway. By the way, how many are you supporting, or, are you doing as usual and just running your mouth? You are certainly living proof that it is possible to live without a brain.

    Ashleigh,

You just said on air that your HATE conjecture, yet this does NOT Stop you from doing it. I understand that you are under pressure from CNN to gain viewers, but why not wait until all the facts are out and stop with all the speculation. There is no place for that in news reporting. In the meantime, why don't you call for peace and condemn violent acts such as looting, fire bombing and destruction of property.

Comments like Allen's shows what ignorance really is. Whatever is going on in these countries it must be serious enough for a parent to send their child alone in hopes for a better future. So called Americans who claim this land and call everyone else "illegal aleins" forget much of this land was stolen from the Indians, much of the land belonged to Mexico. People stripped from their land brought here as slaves

why doesn,t Ashleigh ask for the arrest of Darren Wilson. and Firing of police Chief .

If this 18 year old was white and unarmed, would he have been shot 6 times. The anger in the African American community is not just about this young man. We just had another unarmed man choked to death by police. The court system condoned the killing of Travon, another unarmed teen. We watched a police officer punch an unarmed woman repeatedly, and another young woman shot on a doorstep asking for help. Rather than report this unjustified and outrageous abuse of police and the failure of the justice system, they would rather report things in an attempt to justify actions. This is not about selling illegal cigarettes, stolen cigars, smoking weed, Jay walking or wearing a hoodie in the rain! All of these are just excuses used to justify the treatment these victims received. It's about blatant racism in this country. If ANY of these VICTIMS were white they would still be alive today! That is the issue and nobody on CNN has the balls to report on the real issue. I don't care what legal analyst they bring on, this is a trained police officer and why would he need to shoot an unarmed person 6 times? The next thing they will report is he had hulk like Strength and was in something. have we learned anything since Rodney King? Who
knows, but when it's all said and done the media and the justice system will find a way to justify this one too.

Your interview with the mother of the 15 month old baby boy who was murdered by his father when he left him in a boiling hot car made me sick! How can you sit there and "feel" for her? Her husband should go to jail and she should get off TV! She didn't look the least bit upset. SHE should take some responsibility and not place the blame on the car manufacturers, making it their responsibility to make sure you don't "forget" your baby in the back seat! I am so angered by this notion! This mother has shifted the blame off her husband and onto someone else! He should go to jail and she should have her tubes tied! THEY are at fault and it is a parents responsibility to make sure you don't murder your child by cooking them in the back seat of your car! This mother is disgrace!

Ashley can you ask this question? Why isn't the CDC requesting daily or every other day blood donations from all ebola survivors in the US? This way they can start storing it. We shouldn't discriminate who gets these blood products. Why wouldn't anyone donate blood for Thomas Duncan? They are donating this to other people, why not him? Do or did they think he wasn't good enough for their blood? It just doesn't seem right! If it was me I would donate it to everyone who needed it?

Ashley, I watched your thorough coverage of the terrible situation in Jerusalem today and learned a great deal. However, I was disturbed by your interview with Alan Dershowitz which was unnecessarily combative. It is most unfortunate that you challenged his view that Israel is a secular state, claiming that it is a religious state. He was quite correct in reminding you that the founders of Israel were secular Jews and even included atheists. I was also sorry to hear you express sympathy for the Palestinian view of Israel as a militant society because of compulsory military service. As Mr. Dershowitz pointed out, not everyone joins the military and people who serve do not stay in for a lifetime.
    Please get your facts straight!

Once again we are allowing the negative race card to be used in the Ferguson saga. The facts remain that this little boy was over 6' tall, pushed his way around in the live cam feed, and has a record. Why do we constantly support the race riots and attempt to allow these marches every time a known convict , regardless of race, is confronted and an unfortunate death occurs. I wonder why we never see riots or marches when young white citizens are murdered by the blacks, and oh yes, we never see the coverage from the media.

Concerning the Vanderbuilt Rape case. The problem with these colleges is they want to handle rape cases in house and not report them to the police!. I know a journalist in Nashville who told me that it was very hard to get information on something like this out of Vanderbuilt!

    Ms. Banfield,

I would like to see Danny give his views of the new Indiana law. I would like to know if this law applies to doctors? Can doctors in Indiana refuse to treat someone based on the doctor's religious beliefs. You know that a doctor in Michigan refused to treat a 6 day old baby girl because she had two Moms. With all the athletics going to Indiana either for basketball, football, or other sports, I'm concerned for their safety, especially if they are injured.
    Thanks,
    David

    Hi Ashleigh,
Been watching CNN for about 20 years, and feel you are a good reporter...contientious, likeable, and sincere. However, my comment is: What is it with all the EYE MAKEUP??? You are an attractive woman, but it seems like every week you keep slathering on more and more! Is this a midlife crisis or something? None of us is getting any younger! Why don't you back off on the makeup a little bit...I promise, we will all still like you. By the way, us guys don't have the option of using a lot of makeup to make ourselves look better (or younger) than we are. We have learned to live with it, and it's not all that bad!

I have watched you for a long time and appreciate your point of view. I am British living in Canada for 35 years and am now moving to ireland. I I will have all three flags in my garden. I will celebrate all the special days. I have lived and worked in the USA and will have my American flag proudly flying and celebrating on July 4th.
You are Canadian, now an American citizen but you don't have to not fly the Canadian flag to be American.
Be both and proud of both Ashley, as I will be proud of all four of my flags.
Thanks again for your point of view

Ashleigh, please wear your glasses again. Your eyes are set to close together with a very narrow nose and nose
bridge. You are much more attractive with all your great eyeglasses than without them. Some people just look great in glasses and you are one of them. I can't look at you now on the air. It is very disturbing to the viewers.
