Finally hardwired my V1 and it was very easy to do after I figured out what I was doing wrong. Well I tried last week to hardwire my V1. I used the add a circuit method instead of wrapping the wire around a fuse. I had everything connected and nothing. The detector wouldn't turn on. I check connections and still nothing. So i figured it had something to do with the hardwire kit and maybe something broke transferring it from the previous vehicle. So I went ahead and ordered a new one from Valentine. Well it came in today and tried again, still nothing. What was I doing wrong? Well I never connected the ground wire. I figured it should still work even if I didn't connect the ground. I even touched the wire to the screw in the article and still it wouldn't work. I then touched it to the door latch and bam it works. It also worked once I screwed it down. I guess the screw had some coating on it. So yeah thats my saga to get this to work.----------If the car feels like it is on rails, you are probably driving too slow.
