Yes ... eat that pork chop!
It’s called swine flu, but chances are … your swine is fine. Barbeque ribs? Enjoy! Bacon? Have a good breakfast! Pulled pork sandwich? Get me one too!
Eating pork already has the potential for giving you all kinds of health problems because of its fatty albeit delicious disposition, and now it can give you the flu?!?!?!?! Not really. Not at all, actually.
It’s a fair and obvious question: can I get swine flu from eating infected swine? The answer from doctors is NO. The flu virus cannot be passed to humans by consuming cooked pork. The official line is that any flu virus present would be killed if the meat is cooked to at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit (70 degrees Celsius). You don’t necessarily need to break out the meat thermometer. As long as your meat is “done,” you’re probably alright.
Maybe the media hasn’t done a good enough job explaining this swine story clearly and putting it in perspective. Maybe some people out there have not taken enough time to educate themselves about what’s happening right now. Or, maybe some are just not paying attention. Either way, there are still a number of understandable and unanswered questions about what’s going on.
So much of the current hubbub comes because there’s a lot that doctors still don’t know. We are dealing with a new strain of the flu virus. That’s a big deal. And, until doctors know more about what it is, what it’s capable of, and how it behaves, they are acting out of an abundance of caution.
So, until we know more, let’s go on what we do know. And one thing we do know: it’s not yet necessary to take the ‘B’ out of your B.L.T.

I canceled my trip to Cancun and Monterrey after hearing over the weekend the severity of the outbreak. I don't understand why the virus is so mild in the US and so severed in Mexico, is it the same virus? even though they are testing it and saying it is the same, it has to be some kind of variation of the virus. who is getting sick? young? old? weak?

WITH ALL OF THE SWINE FLU CASES APPEARING TO HAVE COME FROM THE CANCUN AREA, HAVE ANY OF THE CRUISE SHIPS THAT FREQUENT THAT AREA REPORTED ANY CASES?
I would like to offer a disinfection process that will stop the spread of swine virus and other strains as well. Recommendations that people wash their hands and cover their mouths when sneezing are totally useless. Based on my personal observations when using public restrooms only about half the people even bother to wash their hands after using the TOILET. And I have also observed that probably the same 50% don't have a clue why it is a good idea to cover their mouth when coughing.
If the CDC does succeed in getting THOSE "swine" to wash and cover, it will be a miracle!
Is this just some ploy to get the American citizens to stop being concerned about the economy, the threat that the Taliban will wind up in control of a nuclear arsenal, and the fact that even if you DO get sick, you probably can't go to the doctor anyway, because you lost your job AND health insurance?
This is just another move by our Government. The illuminati, bilderburg group and so on have had this planned. It’s all a game to them. There testing us. Marshal law is coming soon. Is the swine flu virus airborne???
This morning I heard on CNN that 45000 people a year die from lack of health care in America. If there where just basic care many of these people may have lived.
I have no insurance and would have to die from a hang nail because I can't efford insurance, it seems sad that in the history of or country we will fight, and spend trillions of dollars on wars fighting for some other country and yet wont save 45000 Americans.
