She's not alone in beauty queen scandals, though- here's a look at the past pageantry ugly:

I'll be going to Clemson University for my Ph.D. Grad school definitely seems like the safer bet at this point in time.

Fired! She is what people think a "Miss" should NOT be! Teens look up to her? OMG! she needs to go!

In my opinion, there are many, many more important issues out there than this "scandal". Sure, it stirs social interest, but I'm stunned at the amount of news coverage this is getting. What about our troops serving in Iraq & Afghanistan? The state of the economy? Missing children? I understand water cooler discussion, I just feel we're focusing on the wrong things here.

Why are you spending so much time on this story! There are so many other issues that you can focus on but choose to focus on a beauty queen! How sad.

The pageant is being hypocritical for claiming she is partially nude in a photo when she is put on the stage partially nude. She is being hypocritical by claiming "Marriage Morality" when she parades around in a pageant. The fact that you are covering this with so much fervor in the news is what I find most infuriating. What a waste of everyone's time.

It's simple she breeched a contract with Miss Unverse. Trump is a business man, his attorneys have vetted the contract and will suggest to him that she breeched the contract and should be fired.

i feel that he needs to get rid of her such a fake she stands for nothing and should be discounted

    May 12, 2009 at 11:13 am |
  8. Patrick

Who cares what she thinks about same sex marriage?Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion. If she should be fired it should be for her lie about not taking photos nude or semi nude.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:13 am |
  9. ViconB

It’s easy like 1, 2, 3: she breached her contract that is why she should be striped of her crown and put to the gutter.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:13 am |
  10. Sarah

Carrie Prejean should lose her crown and if she does than it proves that you can't think for yourself and state your opinion you have to the beauty pageants.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:13 am |
  11. justin

Prejean should have been more careful. It's not a good idea to get up on a public soap box if you don't have a top on. She's entitled to her opinion, but she didn't have to milk her celebrity the way she did.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:13 am |
  12. MD Fisher

Perhaps she violated the letter of her contract...but not the spirit of it. Leave the girl alone and let her crown stay.

  13. Michael Conroy

On the topic of the "nude" photo, i beleive that people are making a much bigger deal than needs to be made, that is not an innaproppriate photo, pictures are taken like that in public magazines, i mean some of the bikini tops worn on the pagent show show just as much skin as the photo she took.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:14 am |
  14. Hank Hurteau

Soldiers are shooting soldiers in Iraq and we're supposed to be concerned about a beauty pageant because????

  15. Adrianne Payne

I believe Miss Californina should be considered decrowned for her pictures only. There were others disqualified for having inappropriate photographs of themselves. But as to her moral views on homosexuality she has that right not to accept the issues. She should not be judged for that. Miss New Jersey was disqualified for nudity. So then should Miss California should be so judged.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:14 am |
  16. Ken, Long Beach, CA

I have no problem with her views on same sex marriage, but its how she answered it, that is causing all the hype. Facial expressions and body language speak volumes. She is definitely a bigot and a hypocrite.

  17. Peggy Dougan

No one is always doing the right thing. Just drop it.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:14 am |
  18. Stanley

No matter what the outcome of this saga is, the fact is that she is been "purnished" for her views. If she had answered in favour of gay marriage, all these issues now wouldn't have been brought up.

    So let her be

    May 12, 2009 at 11:14 am |
  19. Anna Olson

I think that if she signed a contract that had a photo disclosure.
If she posed nude or semi nude she should loose her crown.
Didn't a lady with the name if Vannessa Williams loose her crown for this?

    May 12, 2009 at 11:14 am |
  20. rukidding

he going to keep her! yuk!

    May 12, 2009 at 11:14 am |
  21. david h

I think she should keep it.that is her own answer.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:14 am |
  22. Anita

Miss America has the right to free speech and should not have crown taken away for that, but since pictures did post of her partial nude, that is grounds of her crown to be taken away per her contract.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:15 am |
  23. Sarah

Fire Shanna Moakler & Keith-whats-his-name should be FIRED!!

    May 12, 2009 at 11:16 am |
  24. Rick

Okay! She keeps the crown! Now, let's move on to important issues, like, oh, I don't know. An American Soldier killing his own, even the flooding in West Virginia is more newsworthy than this!

Boo! Donald Drops the ball again... I think he's just a sucker for blondes.

we miss you in Baltimore Tony!!

It's stories like this that make me want to burn my television. This world has become so politically correct that we are no longer allowed to have any fun.

Freedom of Speech? Where was the Dixie Chicks' right to freedom of speech when they were pilloried, professionally and personally? Where three married women with kids are called sl$ts, and wh#res, and received death threats. The campaign against them was led by conservative radio stations and media, with fellow country singers like Toby Keith leading the way. Talk about selective memories, where was the Chick's freedom of speech???? Why has the media ignored this obvious comparison?

    May 12, 2009 at 11:19 am |
  28. Terence

The Donald made the right decision. A great win for freedom of speech because the controversy was truly over what she said not the pictures.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:19 am |
  29. Judith Benson

The meddia are a bunch of hypocrites. Maybe her answer wasn't to great but to call her a dumb blonde and nobody says he was out of line.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:20 am |
  30. Shawna

Donald Trump has shown some level headed decision making. I don't know how the pageant can say that the photos are any different than what they portray on TV during the contest. It is nice to have a conclusion to all of this and I am very happy with the outcome.

My family wants to thank Carrie for standing up for what she believes in. We support Carrie and value the same belief that marriage is between a man and a woman, what GOD values.

  32. Patricia Ryan, Ph.D. Candidate

While many in the gay and lesbian community will not agree with me, as a lesbian who has fought for equal rights and Marched on Washington among other things, I must agree with Mr. Trump. We are America, land of the free and tolerant. Had she said she was for gay marriage, this never would have escalated to the point we are at now. We can't have it both it ways. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and she shared hers. Whether we agree or not, this is about equality, not only for gay rights but for free speech. Fair is fair and justice will always prevail, as long as we remember our American values and how this country was built upon them.

  33. BUZZARDSKORNER

So, the message Donald Trump sends to America....if your blonde, blue eyes, skinny, and Ms. Barbie....IT IS JUST FINE IF YOU BREAK THE RULES!!!

DISGUSTING!!!!....she does NOT represent me....and I live here in CA!!

    May 12, 2009 at 11:21 am |
  34. Jennifer

I find it interesting that Donal Trump has designated himself as the savior of morals...are breast implants and controversial photos a prerequisite for the Miss USA pageant?

    May 12, 2009 at 11:21 am |

Boooo to Trump. He's nothing but a Pitchman with low morals.

I did not see CNN provide live coverage of The Pope's visit to Israel but you give a lot of air time to Miss California press conference. Get your priorities straight.

This is why America is in the state it is in! Glad I dont live there! God, Boob implants, Bigets, Guns, and the disgusting bigs like Don Trump and Carrie she is an ugly pig!

    Great going 'The Donald'.
    You got this one right.

*Carrie...you can't have it both ways.
    Get it together girl.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:22 am |
  39. Joe Kovacs

She honestly responded to a touchy question and was chastised for her opinion.
Judge #8(Hilton) is the newe nazi wanting to remove some ones right to free speech.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:23 am |
  40. Ken

Give her a microphone, and now you can't shut her up.
Who cares what her narrow minded views are about?

    May 12, 2009 at 11:23 am |
  41. Jim Mac

Please ..what a witch hunt . The woman exersized her opinion as requested. She has the right to free speech as do those who have opposing views.

  42. Joe A.

She thinks she's entitled to SO much- what a DRAMA QUEEN!

She broke a contract = FIRED!

What does this say to young girls all over the country and how can Trump defend her actions on basis of '21st century'?

    May 12, 2009 at 11:24 am |

Heck Fire, If the pictures had been semi nude then the swimsuit competition would have been a semi nude show... couldn't have it both ways could they?

    May 12, 2009 at 11:25 am |
  46. Charity

Yet proof again that the religious right are totally and completely untouchable.
SHE LIED ON A CONTRACT– more than once if I'm not mistaken (first she claimed no risque photos, then only one, then more than one). Why is she held above the rules that everyone else is bound to follow?
Personally, if I were another pagent runner-up I would be upset at this descision, especially if I followed the rules.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:25 am |
  47. Anna Olson

I agree with the freedom of speech.
But anyone would tell you that when you go for a position as Miss USA. That you are suppose to be representing everyone in the USA. She showed that she was NOT representing all of AMERICA. Because she has stated that she was against same sex marriage.
Well if she did not want to offend someone or some people. Then she should have stated it somewhat different way.
But I think that if we were back in the time when people were against the white man marrying a indian woman. It was wrong. If we would go back to when peoeple were against black and white getting married. That was wrong.
This is the same thing. Same sex marriage should be allowed because of the fact that it is two people that love and care for each other.
That is what this country is all about to love, honor, everyone.

Largely due to out-of-state activists, Californians have lost the right to gay marriage. It is no wonder the California gay community is feeling combative.

I'm sick and tired of Donald Trump's beauty queens. I'm sick and tired of Donald Trump - he is a stain on America! And, why, I'm at it -- his show the Apprenctice needs to go. I've always been taught the mark of a good manager is to bring out the best in a person - not make, "you're fired" chic! As to Carrie - the little tramp needs to go back to church!!!!

    May 12, 2009 at 11:27 am |
  51. LegalizeGayMarriage

Carrie Prejean might not have broken any laws by giving her honest opinion on the fact that she doesn't believe in Gay Marriage, but the fact still remains that she didn't actually answer the question: She was asked not only WHAT she thought about legalizing Gay Marriage, but WHY. She did not answer the last part. Saying it's what she "believes" is not an answer to, "Why?".
So, now she has not only gotten off scot-free for not ACTUALLY ANSWERING THE QUESTION IN FULL, but she said (in part),"...And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman."
Please, Carrie – don't speak on behalf of the country; which, by the way, is "our" country, not "my" (as in "Carrie's) country.
She should step down and be quiet. She's on TV right now whining about how her rights were violated, but thinks it's O-K to discriminate against Gay people. Ridiculous! "For everyone out there listening, do not be silenced." she just said on TV. We won't, Carrie. We will keep on supporting Gay marriage. And for the record, I'm heterosexual. So, no, Carrie, you are NOT speaking for the country, Gay or not.

  52. ViconB

She supposed to represent people. She is an idiot. To thank her mom and dad she read a fricking card! Really? She needs to read her note card to thank her parents? Attention seeking disgrace for blondes. She wasn’t ‘punished’ for ‘exercising her right’. She was blasted for being a bigot and by being very difficult to work with. She is not a representative! Please, someone put some more racy photos of her so her crown WILL be taken from her!

    May 12, 2009 at 11:27 am |
  53. Karen Carlisle

Pleeaaaassseee...are you really giving this girl this much press time? Who cares? She's paraded out with very little on, gets new breasts to look even better, and we really care what her opinions are on anything? Please give us some real news this morning.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:27 am |
  54. mike holloway

She does not get it ! She does have a personal agenda. She posied for those pics she is like most right wingers point fingers at everyone but crys foul when the fingers point back. Do I think she should step down ? No. Should she have said what she did ? If she felt that way then yes. But do not come crying to me when the light of the media shines on you. Here is the funny thing I don't care what she thinks.

  55. moira solis

re Ms California This is the right decision, free speech is not just for a select few, but for all. She is a well spoken young woman and entitled to her opinion.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:29 am |
  56. Jordan Daxx

This is ridiculous! What's the use of having rules and regulations if Mr. Trump is just going to keep overlooking them, because of someone's "Beauty" they are now trying to make her a victim, when in fact she was brought there today! regarding Pictures and her lack of cooperation with the CA organization. Not her stance on gay marriage.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:29 am |

    I remember what I did when I was 16. I can also read a 12 page contract. Even when I was 16.

I"m glad, Carrie has a mind of her own, she is an all American woman that is not afraid to speak here mine in an open a honest answer a on a very hard moral question. She is a good woman and I hope she is around for a very long time to speak as a free American women!

Freedom of Speech? Where was Freedom of Speech for the Dixie Chicks? They were pilloried personally and professionally, called obscene names, and received death threats. The campaign against them was led by conservative run radio and media outlets and further fueled by fellow country artists like Toby Keith. What horrendous traitorus thing did they say? " We're ashamed the President is from Texas".

    May 12, 2009 at 11:32 am |
  62. Javier Cavazos

Oh please!!! These "pageants" are a waste of TV airspace. What I don't get is how she can think two adult homosexuals cannot marry because she believes it’s immoral, but it isn't immoral for her to lie about posing semi-nude, or by having her body (the one that her God bestowed upon her) altered by an organization?

Stop hiding behind your grand pappy and every other soldier and use those fake breasts the pageant bought you as shields. A model? A Christian? A model of Christian hypocrisy perhaps, or how about just a duplicitous, lying, low-self-esteem-having bimbo?

    May 12, 2009 at 11:32 am |
  63. ceelee118@live.com

What double standards the beauty pageant industry has. When one beauty queen crown holder get's de-crowned for making risque pictures prior to being crowned and another get's to keep her's. Who cares what their thoughts on marriage is.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:34 am |
  64. Uzo Lance

We are very, i repeat, very proud of Miss California. On the other hand, shame on the judge that made those nasty comments because she gave an honest opinion, which was what he asked for in the first place. Trump or whoever is responsible for hiring him should look into whether he should continue as judge or not. His reponse was dispicable. He probably thought the whole United states has lost their bearing and people like him who say stupid things on air have become role models. Shame, shame shame. Goodluck Miss California, no matter your wrongs in the past, True believers in all religions and God are proud of you.

  65. Mike

Thank God for Carrie and the strength she showed throughout this ordeal... I would be proud to have her for a daughter.

Harris is an idiot. How can he be in this position and not even know the company's web address, let alone peoples names?

    May 12, 2009 at 11:34 am |
  66. Jim Mac

You can see much more risque photos in mainstream underwear ads for teens in any magazine

    please what a witch hunt

    May 12, 2009 at 11:35 am |
  67. Sonia Calloway

It's good that Ms. Cali kept her crown. Although I believe in traditional marriage, I feel people have the right to marry and be with who ever they love. I have a gay sister and I would hate for the people to have to decide who she can be with. Everyone has their own life and should live it. There are more important issues to deal with then who someone is marrying.

Risque is OK, afterall it's the 21st Century.
Lying is also apparently ok, afterall it's the 21st century.
Being against equal rights under the law for religous reasons is ok, afterall it's the 21st century.
Having your tits paid for by the Miss America pagent is Ok, afterall it's the 21st century. But then showing them is another thing – not ok in the 21st century.
Beauty is ok if it's artificial, only skin deep, and attached to someone who hates.

Gee Donald, please don't bring more of the dark ages into the 21st Century!

The young woman is entitled to her own opinion. We are all entitled to our own opinions. FREE SPEECH !! Yeah, for Miss California! Congratulations to her for speaking the TRUTH of her heart. Honesity was treated here with disdain. In regard to her photographs – I am in agreement with DT — this is the 21st century. It is my opinion (am I to be denied my opinion my free speach rights as was Miss California?) — It is my opinion that her photos were not pornographic but were photos that deomonstrated the beauty of the female human body. And on hearing this young woman speak about and forgive those who tried to trash her, it is obvious that she has demonstrated her inner beauty as well. God bless you young woman.

    In response to Holly B.:

The question she was asked was about Gay Marriage.

And equal rights for all citizens – gay or bisexual or straight – is not "water cooler talk". It's about discrimination.

Okay...she keeps the "crown".....now stop preaching.
The Donald would do ANYTHING for publicity.
I was for her until she just told a big lie.
The girl is a liar....she just said she didn't remember taking photos wearing only her panties and at age 16! No doubt.

I agree, Carrie has the right to her opinion, however, she is just a media hog. Go away now.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:37 am |
  72. Adrianne Payne

According to the things that have come out at the new s session just now she should not be decrowned. These pictures should have not been made public since that is what they were not intended for. There is quite possibly an agenda for the judge or for the homosexual movement.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:37 am |
  73. jane

Interesting that Donald looked very carefully at Ms Prejean's pictures. I would rather die than have that lecher look at nude pics of my daughter. Ms Prejean should know that nude photos cannot be released if you leave your clothes on.

Gay Marriage is not a complicated subject. If you ever had a gay son or daughter you would know that they deserve to be loved and in a loving partnership sanctioned by god and country. God would never treat gay people with the scorn they receive from a self-righteous few.

Ms Prejean will have some explaining to do with her children when they see her nude photos....they will wish they had a loving gay marriage family to be proud of.

    May 12, 2009 at 11:38 am |
  74. Rianna

Absolutely amazing. Questions directed to Carrie Prejean answered by Donald Trump. Did he get a sex change and become Carrie Prejean in a span of a few minutes or does he actually think she can't answer a simple question? Or maybe it's because he has to be in the limelight all the time, no matter who the press conference is about.

  75. Linda

I feel that this is wrong to let Miss California keep her crown, they didn't let Vanessa Williams keep her crown! Some are saying that this was a witch hunt because of her answer, I respect her answer but there was an untruth on her contract, plus regardless of how old she was, she still posed simi nude, plus she has acted as a spokes person for a private orgnization. I listen to her on the breaking cnn news and she seems so fake. So all I'm saying is that Vanessa Williams was not treated fare. In Vanessa Williams case, she had the last laugh, she rose to the ocassion and on that note God had the final answer when enemies try to stone you.

Cudos to Mr. Trump and the Miss USA/Miss California organizations in their decision to allow Carrie Prejean to keep her title as Miss California! I totally agree in their assessment of this situation and condemn those who saught to discredit this young woman. Their mission failed. As far as Judge #8 who participated in this year's Miss USA Pageant in April, this person should never be asked nor permitted to be in a position to judge anything, anywhere, anytime! Mr. Trump is far too generous in saying this individual would be welcomed back. HOW INSANE!

    May 12, 2009 at 11:39 am |
  78. Herq

So does this mean that the rules will be changed in the application process? Clearly Miss California missed the important part of not posing in ANY "nude, semi-nude" pictures. I don't care how old you are at the time you took them, you'll remember that (especially at 16,17 years old). Trump seems to have opened up a huge can of worms for the next applicants. We'll see if this is a "one-time", let it slide case, or the rules will be changed. My guess, is the rules will remain the same. They've just let her slide.

Moderation? My posts are being reviewed for moderation? All I have asked for in my posts is what happened to the Dixie Chicks right to freedom of speech? and how it compares to Miss California's apparent right to freedom of speech? Why does she get what the Chick's obviously didn't?

It is not surprising that Miss California was allowed to keep her title. What is beyond surprising is that we are now a society that is aghast when a pageant queen shows up in risque photos – a pageant queen who is required to parade around in risque clothing and dance in a provocative manner in order to compete. After all the pageant scandal we've seen, we should assume that these women will have controversy and include a contract clause that allows for it instead of relying on Trump to save the day and declare them to be victimized damsels in distress. How many more of these spectacles can we watch? Apparently many since afterall "it is the 21st century". The banks get bailed out. The insurance companies get bailed out. The car companies get bailed out. The pageant queens get bailed out. The only sensical question left is "What do I have to do to get my bailout?"

The Miss California and all beauty pagnets are all fake.
The reason I say this is because these ladies are suppose to be roll models for our teenagers out there looking at them.
Here and now these ladies are going out and getting boob jobs and other surgeries to better themselves.
This goes to show why our teenage girls are so messed up.
These are NOT roll models they are all fake.
Not in there minds and bodies are real. So as my grandmother would say? If it is fake then it will ALL be fake.

Lets be serious. In my opinion, beauty contests should be judged on ones "natural beauty", ie, no artificial enhancements what so ever. The fact that the people producing this contest, actually paid for breast augmentation for Ms. California, concedes that she didn't have a chance at winning, as her "natural" self. They are right in allowing her to keep the title, as they got what they paid for.....btw, I have a niece who would blow her away, "NATURALLY"

Sounds like the contract is just a wasted bunch of paper. No wonder these pageants have been slowly fizzling out– what hypocrisy, what a sheer joke!

I completely agree with the decisoin by Mr. Trump. The situation was brought way out perportion. It is rediculous to redicule someone over just topless photos, like Trump even said we are living in the twenty first century, and to chastise her about her own decision is wrong.

Clearly hypocrisy is the root of this airhead's character. She spoke about her rights. What about my constitutional right to peruse happiness? She spoke about freedom. What about my freedom to marry whoever I'm in love with? This has truly impressed a quote from a famous gay character: "There are two kinds of straight people in this world, those that hate you to your face and those that hate you behind your back." Advertisers beware; I won't be buying anything this ditz is selling.

R U KIDDING ME? All this BS that she is singled out because of her views on marriage is BOGUS. She LIED. Plain and simple. I raised my children to believe to tell the truth no matter what. So now virtue and honesty is NOT an element of the “miss” pageantries? Oh… I get it… Just as long as she is pretty and Trump gets a piece.

I am shocked at how Miss Prejean's opinion has been silenced and her free speech violated. Why, I sometimes watch CNN for a whole half hour without hearing her tell me I'm a second-class citizen who doesn't deserve to marry his partner. She's like the Anita Bryant of the 21st century, a beautiful woman proudly espousing an ugly message.

I like Trump, but he sure missed the boat here! What a crock, this whole M. Ca. thing! Bottom line, she lied and held back info. Some of those pics. were taken 2 yrs. ago and like she forgot? There should be standards which apply and are enforced. Something fishy going on for so much bad blood just 24 hrs. ago, and now just because of meetings in Trump's office, everything is peachy keen? Oh please.

What a collasal waste of news time, a total non issue- beauty queen has an opinion shared by millions- so what? She is right to speak her mind– I don't agree, but will defend until death, etc. But to waste news time on this and pictures she took- do you guys have anything better to do, collapsing stealing banks, two wars, recession, health care, lobbyists controlling government, legislatures for sale- come on, PLEASE ENOUGH OF THE CRAP

I was so disgusted that Donald Trump let Carrie keep her title. She broke multiple things in her contract and she should of been denied being Miss California. I think Donald should of set a good example for future participates and youth .

I think today's conference was 100% BS. We have a black president and we can't over come gay issues.

We are happy that Donald Trump had the common sense to allow Miss Californa to keep her crown, thereby putting the left wing Freedom of Speach Bashers in their place!
What has become of this country that allows a young Christian girl to be so attacked and villified for her personal beliefs?
Our President has the same beliefs as do the majority of Americans.
Let's see some tolerance from both sides here.

Hello, did anyone else hear Carrie say that some of the photos where Photo Shopped? That means they were altered to make them appear more provocative than they actually were.

At any rate, I applaud her for standing up for what she believes in. Too many people in the public eye or not, are afraid to say they believe what is written in the bible...God ordained that marriage is between one man and one woman...period.

This is what I believe. I also believe that gays and lesbians should have the right to civil unions...period.

Miss California should have not taken the microphone. She gave a 15 minute speech about her support of same sex marriage. Donald Trump is a sucker for blonds This keeps him in the lime light. Let Carrie ride her crown out and then pose in the next playboy magazine.
Donald would not answer the question on gay marriage and he hates gays because Rosie O"Donnell in the only one who stood up to him. Donald is a has been and is hurting and showing up on many television show. His time has gone. He is playing God. He let a previous drug addict and not this girl who is using her platform to push her beliefs on others. May Varrie become Donald's next wife.

All I have to say is that Donald Trump is playing God. He Let Carrie break her contract by going on a speaking tour for same sex marriage. Let's face it, Donald just like blonds. Miss California has a full life to live and she has started out on the wrong foot. Take her off the news and focus on more important things for Californians.

Please people, the Bible is a wonderful book of FAITH but not FACT, or it would be taught in public schools. MARRIAGE is a word that Christians DONOT have the monopoly on. Last year a law in the books of Arkansas was finally taken out. It allowed toddlers, with parental permission, to marry. Traditional marriage? How about the fact that in about 1/2 of the states first cousins are still allowed to marry. Traditional marriage or incestual marriage? And people are concerned about same-sex marriage between consenting adults? How obtuse and convoluted is that!!!

Elizabeth Alee, I couln't agree with you more. How about three hetrosexual married with children women being called alot worse than what Hilton called Prejean. How about professional ostarcism, and death threats? Oh, I forgot, the Dixie Chicks never professed to be Christians, so apparently they aren't entitled to freedom of speech.
So according to your statement, only professed Christians are entitled to protections of freedom of speech.

I agree with some of you. Donald clearly loves blondes. That's besides the point. I believe marriage should just be between a man and a woman. Sure, everyone should have the right to be with whomever they want, but marriage should be sacred. Let's not turn our society upside down.

  103. A Messenger of God

In defense of the Christian faith, I would like to say that believing in Jesus is not about being perfect but about growing into his perfection. Meaning, that while we may be strong in keeping God's commandments in some areas of our lives, we are definitely weak in others; this is what makes us human. If we as humans were perfect, then we would not need the Christ– the son of God and the ONLY perfect human that has lived on the planet. Which is why Christ said, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." (NT, John 8:7).

So, while without a doubt that humans don't make all the right choices in God's eyes, He has already forgiven us, that is why Christ was sacrificed. All we have to do is accept him (all that that means) and God's commandments and work set the example that Christ set.

God doesn't want us to judge one another because if he did we would not have been given free will, which we have had from the beginning. But he does want us to stand up for what Christ represents, as stated by his apostle Paul: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of god unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek." (NT, Romans1:16) .

So I believe we should respect one's decision and journey to have or not to have a growing relationship with Christ . Because in the end, we have to face God as an individual, and there will be no excuse for not knowing Christ since his believers whill have stood up for him when confronted or in hopes of bringing greater understanding about his will.

Forgiveness and understanding is something that God and Christ gives to us all freely and the ability to do the same to others, if we want to. You just have to ask him directly or any believer, all the while remembering that no one is perfect, from the pulpit to the White House. So, if you want to believe, believe in his word not the word of somebody else or in what somebody else does or doesn't do because we all need to get really right with God. But we do need to do what he tells us to do.

Both Donald Trump and his little harem...are so disgusting! I cannot believe CNN spends so much time actually believing people want to see these stories. CNN used to be an intelligent news source...Now, unfortunately, there are a 'few' journalists who are employed there who seem to know how to think, speak and analyze. The rest are Time/Warner groupees who present the 'Party Line'...which attempts to 'dumb down' the American People. Trust me...it didn't work!!

Seriously? None of us are without wrong. I think Trump did a great thing for both girls. In both cases, judgement could have been passed and Lord knows no one is safe in the digital world from their actions. Being kind and forgiving is a virture that is very freshing to see. Trump has nothing to gain from his actions. He already has more money and fame than he could ever spend. It's wonderful to see his compassion bestowed on a beautiful young woman who is gutsy enough to stand up and speak! FYI – Pagents are A LOT OF WORK!

Curious that my post did not appear as it was critical of CNN commentators and thier failure to correct common misconceptions about the Constitution of the United States (one of which seems to be held by Ms. Prejean and CNN). Great policy..similar to the previous administration.

I find it very interesting that Donald Trump would be so supportive of Miss California when he blatantly bashed Chloe Kardashian on the Celebrity Apprentice for having a DUI. Ms Kardashian missed part of one show to appear in court on the DUI charge, and Donald fired her that week; not because of her performance on the task, but because he said he had no tolerance for people with DUI charges. I agree that DUI charges are much more serious than posing for questionable photographs, but as Mr. Trump said, "Everyone deserves a second chance." I do not feel he was as generous with those feelings to Ms. Kardashian, as he was to Miss California!!!!

Donald Trump has shown poor judgement once again. He skirted the whole issue about whether Carrie Prejean should lose her crown. He referred to the pics and said they were reviewed and it was determined they were fine. Obviously she is a model and as such, can take any kind of pictures she wants. The real issue is whether or not she violated her contract and from the statements released by the pageant officials she clearly did this. He did not address this issue. Since when is it ok to breach a contract in America? We all know that the Donald has a weak spot for pretty blondes and I believe he is thinking with his smaller brain and not his bigger brain.I hope he realizes that he has set a precedent and will have to treat other contestants accordingly in the future.
