This Morning on CNN Newsroom...

As usual the coffee is brewing and the writers and producers are typing away on their keyboards as we prepare a great show for you. Here’s what’s going on in the CNN Newsroom this morning: A prince in New York…. All eyes are on the Big Apple right now. Prince Harry is there on his first official trip. We’ll talk to Victoria Mathers. She’s a royal watcher and the Editor of British Vanity Fair about the significance of his visit.

The competition is tough and not for the faint of heart. We’re talking about the 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Only one person was able to spell their way to V-IC-T-O-R-Y. 13 year old Kavya Shivashankar of Kansas is the new champ. But what does it take to become the spelling bee queen? She’ll join us live to talk about that and more.

They've been in show business for 45 years. Find out how the Osmonds have managed to find staying power in the face of adversity. Betty Nguyen sat down with Donny & Marie. You won’t want to miss it.

Join Betty Nguyen, TJ Holmes and Reynolds Wolf this morning starting at 6am ET/3am PT in the CNN Newsroom.

Is it official, the American people have gone brain dead. Obama stated that no new taxes for people under 250k. Now a vat tax on top of, cigarette, gas, soda, fat, cap and trade, etc, etc,. Is anyone awake out there?

I think it would be a good idea to sell tabacco, alcohol, guns only through the United States government and make it illegal on the white and black market, but the government can buy through the makers. That will make this country a fortune. And that's what I desire for this spectacular nation

I a sooo SICK of RepUGHlican disparaging criticisms of our President and his nominees. All their malarky will lose them even MORE votes in upcoming elections...GOOD!

I'm also glad our President took his beautiful wife to New York for date night on Saturday. They not only got to spend a relaxing evening together, sorely needed with his very diffcult and stressful job of restoring our country after the UGHS nearly put us under, they also promoted New York and The Great White Way!

Re. the President's date night...I wonder what the CEO's of Chrysler and GM did on Saturday night while their companies are going under. Think they ate beans and watched rented movies? I think not!

Taxpayers of this country are shelling out $120,000 a week for Pelosi to plop her big butt on a non stop Air Force flight round trip each week to the West Coast.

Sotomayor is a hastily made pick just to appease the Latino voter, another campaign promise. Cant say Obama doesnt keep his promise, but what We do need more minorities and women on the bench but to try and kill 2 birds with one stone is a bad move after we have learned a little more of this candidate! I would say that an oriental women with the richness of her experience would make better decisions than say a black man.....ya-ya see what I mean, what she said is what she said and we got a real good glimpse how this Latino women will legislate from the bench! I say keep looking, there are bound to be women minorites that dont feel superior and would make judgements based on the law and not circumstances!

To H.Lee, your right, 100% right, what he did promise is no new income taxes from under $250,000, he did not promise no new taxes. Its nuts everywhere, just yesterday in my home town of Farwell Michigan the local county police set up seatbelt stings right at rush hour and even actually ticketed two people I know while they where still on private property, yes thats right the cops were sneaking aroung spying on people ready to exit parking lots and ticketing them before they even gotr to the street all in the name to raise revenue to hire more cops! They cant let it go and realize that budgets are starined and services need to be cut back but they refuse to listen to that so they have taken matters into their own hands! What we really need in this country is a cop czar one who oversees all cops and has no association with them! They the cops are turning our country into a police state and nobody sees it!

Hey TJ I bet you heard about the 16 year old black kid in Detriot who ran from the cops and got tazed then died, well as that story made the national news another boy from Bay City Michigan also got tazed by the cops and died, you probably didnt hear about that one partly because the kid was white and thats not a news make! TJ you being a fair and impartial black man can see that this is not right and maybe you`ll look into why this is happening all over this country! Wake up America and see whats going on here!

There is a phenomana none as the anomally off the brizalian coast where the earths magnetic field is weakening and the first thing to be affected will be high altitude aircraft.. This effect is due to pole reversal
and is allowing extra high amounts of solar radiation through the upper atmosphere which will disrupt aviation electronics and nav. gear. There is a strong possibility that this is the cause of the flight off the coast of brazil to come up missing....
