This is the saddest day of my life it tops right up there with when my father passed and it will surely have an affect on me for some time, Micheal had a happy attitude for life and inspirational music and caring passionate heart for people less fortunate than him helped me become a in ending for all those who gave him boo's well boo too you he was a true American Idol who we all should love and strive to be more like.

Its very difficult to remember such an amazing individual without having to remember all the negative publicity he received towards the end of his career. I know media world wide will do a great job remembering an icon respectively while discussing the rise and falls throughout his career.

    Rest In Peace Michael Jackson

Another of our Black icons is gone. He shall not be easily replaced. I was never a huge fan of Michael but I always recognized his greatness. To say he was simply a great entertainer, a great showman or superstar just isn't enough. He was a megasuperstar, not just in this country but in Asia, South America, Europe, just everywhere.

While some of the perpetual haters will continue to try to bring the man down with unproven claims, I really believe he was a man who enjoyed kids for kids sake. In many ways he too was like a child with his innocense. I do not believe he ever had any bad or abusive intensions towards children.

We should, praise Michael Jackson for his innovativeness, heightened talents and his ability to brings races together with all his glitter. Thanks for that, Michael, and pleasant journey for you.

Today is a very sad day in American History! But what is even more sad is the way CNN is tearing Micheal Jackson's LEGACY apart!! You have some of the most idiotic people commenting on Micheal's life! Not letting the shock sink in first but tearing into him calling him a drug addict, molester and everything else! Its not right and we as blacks will not ever forget it!! I see now what FOX NEWS IS TALKING ABOUT! I am TRULY DISAPPOINTED IN CNN! I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE ON TWITTER KNOWS HOW DAMAGING YOU ALL HAVE BEEN!! EVERYONE HAS PROBLEMS I DONT HEAR OR SEE ANYONE TALKING ABOUT FARRAH FAWCETT'S DRUG PROBLEM!

It's a shame that CNN is reporting mostly negative points of view about Michael Jackson when his body has yet to be burried. Please be respectful of his family and fans if only for one day – – on the day of his death. Thank goodness for Al Sharpton and Larry King who moments ago presented more positve and professional jounalistic points of view. His finances, court battles, and pitfalls pale in comparison to his successes.

Why does a person have to die before they get respect? We should all be ashamed of ourselves. Yesterday he was just a child molester and now the same people that condemn him sing his praises.

MJ should not be reveered. He was a child molester and pedophile who paid off his victims families. Don't let this overshadow the death of Farrah Fawcett who led a decent live and brought us into her life and trials at the end in order to make us all aware.

Michael Jackson is now at peace. May God welcome him and bless him!

But once again with Michael's death, Al Sharpton has seized the opportunity to display his usual ignorant, self appointed, self -important unwanted opinion to belittle Ophra Winfrey, Tiger Woods, and President Obama. I am sure they, too, feel the sadness that surrounds all of us with the death of a wonderful entertainer.

So CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC do us a favor. Turn off the cameras and microphones and let Al Sharpton edify himself by living in the past with his"accomplishments".

I grew up listening to the music of Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five. I am absolutely devastated by his sudden and untimely death. I am praying for his children and family during this difficult time. I would hope that the media outlets will have enough decency to respect the fact that he has died and not discuss negative topics at this terrible time. Rest in peace Michael.

I think that it is in real poor taste that all these "reporters" are now in support of Michael Jackson after death. As I remember they all were against him when he was having his various legal battles and could not say one nice thing about him and crucified him before he was even found guilty. I know that the news needs to be reported but the reporters should have remained inpartial. Maybe if you would have your stories of his death that you are now racing to get on the air would have more weight with his true fans. Not one of these reporters or news anchors came out in support of him in public or during their editorials/feature stories. You all should be ashamed of yourselves and altleast acknowledge the fact that you may have been a part of his physical illnesses that may have played a role in his death. Put yourself in his shoes for awhile and see how your health turns out after being burned at the stake every chance the news came on. I will forever love Michael Jackson.

The biggest pop icon of our time has passed on and all CNN insists on focusing on how wierd, frail, and thin he was. Please remember him for all the great things that he was and not what the media wants to portray him as. He was the greatest and will be missed by fans all over the world. He broke the mold.

ENOUGH about Michael Jackson!!!!! This is NOT the Kennedy assassination , for heavens sake. Why are you devoting so much time to this? Anyone care to remember poor, brave, dignified Farrah Fawcett? Michael Jackson was the self-named "king of pop", NOT the annointed one. How about a little NEWS from CNN... the world goes on and I look to you for information; you are failing horribly at this task. Let the Jackson fans go to an entertainment site; CNN - give us the news of the country and the world.

Typical and disgusting. It's really hard to beleive that CNN is giving the amount of air time to the death of Michael Jackson that it is. Tragically, on the same day, Farrah Fawcett has passed away from something much more newsworthy. A known child molester vs. the daily on-going battle of cancer. Ratings vs. integrity. Typical and disgusting journalism.

This is a very tragic time in the history of the United States. I think that CNN should be celebrating all the wonderful things Micheal Jackson did during his life and all the breakthroughs he made instead of mostly focusing on all the problems he went though in his life and all the mistakes we made. We are all human and have to understand the situations he went though. Still Micheal Jackson is a great man. We should have some respect. We are still alive and and he lost his life so it's not time for negative critics.

I remember in 1987, Ryan White of Kokomo, IN was befriended by Michael Jackson when the star was concerned as a community turned its back on the boy with aids. Ryan told Jackson about his desire to have a car to drive for his 16th birthday. Jackson found out Ryan wanted a Mustang convertible. He ordered one from a local dealership and had it delivered to Ryan for his birthday. It had a big bow on top. It was not announced who had purchased the car until Ryan began to tell friends that it had to be Michael.

Michael Jackson was every girl's dream guy.. I am 53 years old and grew up with Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5. I am of Puerto Rican descent; family of seven 5 girls 2 boys; growing up on 63rd and Amsterdam Avenue; moved to black harlem in 1965! We grew up in the projects imitating the Jackson Family. I remember when he started changing his appearance (nose) and then his skin color. Everyone said he wanted to be white. Then he married 2 white woman and it seemed that the black race (and pr's) were giving up on him. Lastly the molestation charges put every race to wonder ...... was he really that horrible child molester. Deep down inside .... I believed people were just being mean and wanting some of his money. After all, look at bob marley....word was that he killed because of his beleifs. So anyone that was black, famous, political, etc., and made it to fame had to be defamed.

MICHAEL JACKSON Viviras siempre en nuestro corazon...Que Viva Michael Jackson............Say hi to my mom and Dad and brother!

The first album I ever bought was Michael Jackson's THRILLER and that got me hooked on his music. Recently I introduced my two young sons to THRILLER, and they fell in love with it, they have even seen the video to THRILLER. They have tried to dance just like Michael and said that they would like to meet him someday. Now they will have the memory of his music and the videos we have to remember him by.
He was a great entertainer, musician, and human being. Michael will be missed by all who knew him through his music and personally. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and children during this sad time.

His life like all of ours is a mirror. I believe that is why he wrote the song "Man in the mirror". To show humanity through his service that its not the illusion of success or failure, good or bad deeds but the simple choice every day to own our lives and "make that change" for love

    Namaste Michael and unlimited journeys

Michael is more than an ICON! There is really no one term that can describe what Michael did for the world. Michael's music is the soundtrack of my life. We gave his all to his fans in every way. I find it very hypocritical that the news outlets who villafied MJ during his trials are now singing his praises.. Or the Hollywood stars who are saying he was my idol or hero, where were all these "stars" during his trials? I guess know one wants to look "bad" A lot of people are calling him a megastar–he hasn't be one in at least 15 years. Please people he sang music and was a freak. It not like he did anything important–like find a cure for AIDS or cancer!!!!

I thought i would try and put the point out the while it may be a sad day for some people, I happen to believe that the world is much to large and full of turmoil to have wasted this entire day reporting on the death of one washed up reclusive "star".
Not once since the news broke of the death of Michal Jackson have i heard the words Iran or North Korea, where the real news is. And for that matter not once since the Iranian election have i seen any mention of the conflict in Pakistan. I fear that the content of CNN's broadcast is to focused on one (in the grand scheme of things) relatively unimportant story. Sure give him an hour, heck even two. But come on! Some real news would be nice!

Utter Shock and disbelief is what I felt when I first heard the news of Michael Jackson's death. Just two weeks ago while celebrating my birthday in Santa Barbara, CA., my husband and I were in our car when a Michael Jackson song came on the radio, and without hesitation i turned up the volume and started "Jammin" while singing along. I looked over at my husband and said "You know, despite all the accusations and turmoil this man has endured his music is awesome, and he is truly a legend. To think that two weeks later he would be gone so suddenly is devastating. I can remember dancing in elementary school talent shows with my sisters to his music, hell; our very first 12" LP was The Jackson 5.

My thoughts and prayers are with his dear family and friends at this tragic time, and also with so many of his fans across the world.

The KIng of Pop has gone to his eternal throne. Rest in Peace M.J.

I have been a Michael Jackson fan for my entire life and I regard him as the greatest entertainer of all time. My first concert at the age of 3 years old was "The Jackson 5", then as an adolescent, my second concert was "The Jacksons" Victory Tour. Michael was a musical genius and a very sensitive soul who loved all people. Even though I never met him personally, I felt a very special connection to him from a young age, and right now, I actually feel as though a close relative that I truly loved has died. I can't listen to any of his ballads right now without being reduced to tears. People like me all over the world feel truly blessed to have experienced Michael's presence and his talent in the short time that God shared him with us. My heart is truly broken tonight and I hope that Michael himself did not die of a broken heart. I can only imagine what he must be feeling right now to see the outpouring of love the world is givng to him. We will always love you Michael Jackson. Rest in peace our sweet prince. The world mourns your death. There will never, ever, ever be anyone like you.

A very tough day in entertainment. Michael Jackson was on the comeback. This is very sad news. Eventhough he ran into controversy, Michael Jackson's talent is undeniable. He energized Rock and R&B as a kid with the Jackson Five, did the same thing in the 80's and infused his talents–singing songwriting, dancing, choreography–into music video and he brought incredible creativity to every project he released. I know that just from watching lots of videos, can't even compare myself to those fans out there tonight paying tribute to him. It would take someone a lot more knowledgable than me to list all of his accomplishments. I actually can't believe this. It seems to me he has a place in all of our hearts.

Michael Jackson to me is one of the MVP in the world. A man I have always love especially when I listen to "HEAL THE WORLD" my favorite song among all his musics. I felt so sad when I got up early this mornong and got the sad news. I sitting infront of my TV set and watching a collection of his love songs makes me feels he's still alive.
However, he could be dead but my love for him never dies because these songs will continue to bring me wonderful memories.

May the almighty god richly replenish the Jackson's family with his abundant blessings.

In Europe more so than in US he was glorified and loved, he seemed unreachable. It was my dream to see him in concert, unrealistic in Serbia a war land of the 90's.He was like a mentor,a friend that made my childhood&teens so much more magical and i think influenced the dreamer in me.His smile gave me courage,in his world everything was possible.
I never seen a more honest smile than his TODAY,a more positive person. It is the simplest thing,a smile but the hardest to find.I remember him for his smile, he gave me his love.

Michael Jackson defined what artistry should be which is dedicating yourself to the well being and safety of others. The media seemed determined to bring him down, Michael himself did not allow that to happen. He endured whatever venom was thrown at him and still managed to establish himself as one of the most magical, dedicated artists ever. His legacy will forever shine in his music, his dance, his very heart. Thanks Michael for everything. We forever love you and will always miss you. God bless.

Why do we shun things out of our lives and when that shunned thing fades away, we suddenly miss it? Why shun the thing at all?
In this case, Michael Jackson was at the peak of his game. We started to shun him for things we didn't know. Now that he's gone, we suddenly realise that what we did was terrible. No one can deny that we did not do terrible things to hurt his feelings. We all loved him in our hearts, but we didn't want to show it. Now that he's gone, we show it. Why couldn't we have done that earlier? I... I love Michael Jackson dearly, even if I sort of made fun of him.
We will all celebrate him, even if he fades away. He will go down in history, maybe better than Elvis. I just don't want him to have gone down with drugs... I don't want him down at that level. God bless you and allow your children to live long.
Rest in Peace: 1958-2009 Michael Jackson.
    We Love You.

And my mother, had came in and just said his father said he wasn't doing to good, they called the family to the hospital, and he was in a coma after going into cardiac arrest. Well those are things that you do not want to experience hearing or seeing. A Coma, The Family getting called, and Not doing to good, because death is knocking at your door. So immediately, not out of respect to the family but i do every-time a star dies to see if it is true, I went online and typed Micheal Jackson Dies at ag- and before I could finish my news channel just flashed from commercial and said " This just in, Micheal 'King of Pop' Jackson has died at age 50" And my heart just dropped, I could not breathe or anything, I was lost. Thank you for your hard work and dedication into this tragic loss, my heart goes out to Janet, and her family. We love you all!!!!!!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Michael Jackson: This man gave life to my deceased son! My son at age 5 had the RED Jacket, the white glove, the white socks and the dark shades just like Michael. He fell in love with Michaels music and always wanted to be his replica! My son produced music from writing the lyrics, designing the beats, blending the tracks ....the works as a result of Michael Jackson inspiring him. He too died of heart failure...congenial heart failure(born with heart disease). It was Michael Jackson that did this for my son! I often wished Michael could see my son perform every dance he did......exactly like Michael but that did not happen. Michael Jackson's death is like my son dying ALL OVER AGAIN because whenever we said the words Michael was like say Scooby(my son). Watching Michael was always a double whammy because it was like watching Scooby! We love you Michael...and will certainly Miss you dearly! You will now get to see your Man In The Mirror..........! In Memory of John LoRay Caldwell....mirrored by Michael Jackson!

Micheal Jackson was an inspiration for me. He showed through his music, how a person can teach millions in song. He was an ICON.
He is now gone, but his music "LIVES FOR EVER" and so does he in my heart and the hearts for millions of fans. There will never me anyone like him again. He was unique, extremely gift and we were so lucky to have him. May God Bless him and keep him by his side.

Michael Jackson meant more to me than words can describe. He and I are the same age. I am a singer, and owned every 45 record the Jackson 5 had out. I spent every single day of my youth playing those songs over and over and singing along with Michael.

I wanted to BE Michael. I was in love with Jermaine, but I wanted to BE Michael. He was an escape for me, an escape from the loneliness and pain of a childhood that wasn't exactly what I wanted or needed it to be.

I feel like, growing up with Michael figuring so prominently in my emotions, dreams, and heartbreaks, that he was my childhood friend.

I now feel like I have lost one of the most important people in my life. I can only gain comfort in the fact that Michael is no longer in pain... physical or mental. Rest now, Michael, I just wish you could have known how deeply you really touched the whole world.

I am very sad by the news of Michael's death.I am still in shock from this and it seem's like it is surreal. My heart goes out to his family and his friends for they are the one's that really "knew" him as the person he was.
He will never be forgotten and will live on in our memories as many in the past that have died too young, have.
It is great to see the news stations showing the tributes to him,but the negative things that have happened in his life,we all know about and now is not the time to dredge it back up.Have respect for his family, specifically his children.

Michael you are no longer with us...BUT YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

To the Jackson Family: Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

I grew up watching the Jackson 5 Cartoons, loved the theme song "ABC" + everything else that came thereafter. I think that all the accusations of child molestation are false and those folks should come out and speak up and tell the TRUTH to clean his record (bloodsuckers, all they wanted was his money!). Michael retreated from society because he was pure and innocent and did not understand why people could be so "mean". All he wanted was to do good; he loved to be around children just because he did not have a childhood, he wanted to be with kids because he was a "kid at heart". He did nothing wrong. His naiveness & innocence could not interpret the cruelties of this world.; this slowly broke his heart. He will be remembered forever. GOD rest his soul.

Michael Jackson had talent and was a great entertainer................
BUT let's not forget that he was a mentally ill man who sexually abused children.
Why is it that we feel compelled to elevate him to sainthood just because he died?
I hope he gets what he deserves, whether it be in Heaven or in Hell.

Such a sad time for all the world

I remember when he came to Montreal's Olympic stadium in 1984 (victory tour). My aunt had 3 tickets and by a draw of a hat my 2 sisters were the lucky ones who would be going to see the jacksons live..... I remember being so devestated locking myself in my room crying all night long because of envy. I'll never forget that time in my life and still joked about it til this day..... oday, still in disbelief i mourn the loss of the King of Pop, a music icon. RIP Michael. You will continue to live in your music.

    Still in disbeleif.

Although I am thirteen I, like many Americans, have grown up listening to Michael Jackson. As a devoted fan of his, today as well as yesterday are some of the hardest days if my life. Although I have the support of my family and friends as I grieve, yesterday I watched my hero in a bag, being put on a stretcher, and nothing anyone said could change that. The world has just suffered a heavy blow as we lost the greatest tallent, entertainer, and humanitarian the world will ever see. He will forever live on in my heart.

I've been struggling to comprehend the massive impact this man made on our lives, as well as this deep feeling of sadness and loss I'm experiencing.
It has occurred to me, that many of us are having to let go of a big piece of our youth today...
There is no doubt that Michael Jackson was the single greatest entertainer of my generation.

Thank you, Michael, for all of the music you left behind for the world.

I woke up this morning hoping that it was all a dream, but when I turned on my TV reality set in. I just started weeping again. I feel as if I lost a family member. I cant stop crying. I grew up with Michael Jackson. This is the person who I listen to as I got dressed for school. This is the person who I called my boyfriend. I'm 50 years old and just to think that he died at this age is very sad to me. Michael Jackson was a icon. I'm truly in mourning I will wear all black today and I will pray for this family. I know 1st hand what it's like to loose a love at such a young age and how it feels to have a love one to die so suddenly. I wish that we would have reached out more to Miachel. He was such a lonely man. I wish that all of the the artist that are coming out to say all of these great things about him would have told him these thing when he was here with us on this earth. We should have reached out to him then. This should be a wake up call for us all around the world. I hear the media saying things about the drugs that he may have been taking. Well this maybe true, maybe he was taking a lot of pain meds. I feel he was in a lot of pain. Pain from a broken heart and maybe he thought that if take these pills the pain of my broken heart would go away. I feel that a lot of people let Miachel Jackson down, and he died from a BROKEN HEART.!!!!!!! Did any of the older artist who watched him grow up and watch his life ever reached out to him or asked him son how are you doing? or if you ever need to talk to someone Im here?. Just think about it

Heidi – Instead of the Corey Feldman's of the world who haven't spoke with Jackson in 7 years, maybe CNN – being the news org you are, can interview someone who actually KNEW him. So far, all you have had on are hangers-on. How about Lou Ferrigno who has been training him? maybe there is some insight there.

MJ was so well versed in the universal language of music and touched us all! He should not just go down with pop stars and modern day progressive art, but with the ALL time GRAND human beings and entertainers – Mozart, Einstein, MJ....eccentrics, special people who make our world better places....and to whom this world was too cruel, crude, and insensitive. I'm soooo very sad tonight, I'm surprised.

I am 53 years old and I feel as if my best friend has passed. I grew up with Michael and the J5 when I was in school. I was a loner being an only child but when I would listen or see Michael on tv I fit in like everyone else. My heart just became so overwhelmed when I heard the news yesterday, a friend of mine sent me a text and I did NOT believe it, then as I searched and searched through the conflicting reports and it became evident that he had left us, the tears just streamed.

Today I am still crying and know that we have indeed lost one man who brought joy to so many.

Even though I was born 2 years after thriller came out all of his music has had an impact on my life and my families. It is a family tradition to bring out the old original thriller album and play it the whole month of October and my 6 year old LOVES watching his music videos. I can remember a song he had on the free willy movie and it played during the credits and I would rewind it and re listen to it so much that I actually broke the VHS tape.. Whatever he did or did not do during his life no one can argue about his great musical ability and how it changed the 80's 90's and music we listen to today. I will miss the icon that I grew up with and I will always cherish my thriller album and my little silver sparkle belt with his iconic silver glove as the belt buckle...

    To CNN NEWS Room,
…….“Seek the Truth and Report it.”
if I may contribute and pay my respect, is by telling this story of how Michael Jackson reached Iraq.

During my tour of duty in Iraq 2005-2007, I met some of the locals and they were always pleased to see the American soldiers.
They always looked forward to receiving candy, Pepsi and Coca Cola products, and any type of entertainment products.

One of the many things several of the natives wanted to do is find a sponsor so they could migrate to the United States and build a career.

I remember there was one man who told me his biggest passion was listening to Michael Jackson records. He was waiting for his papers to come in and leave for the United States. He mentioned to me that he was hoping to travel to the U.S. and have an opportunity to see Michael Jackson in concert.

I was shocked to hear that in a war and combat environment, constant threats, and a place where water was hard to come by people were still influenced by the American Icon and had hopes in seeing him perform.

I am a child of the 80’s and I remember seeing Captain EO in 3-D at Disneyland, and I am listening to his album right now. No matter what negative stories are published about him, this experience in Iraq showed me that Michael Jackson’s reach was limited less.

May he rest in peace and join the other musical icons in heaven.

    God Bless Michael Jackson

I strongly believe that the arts will bring us together and save this world. Thank you for everything yougave to us, Michael Jackson. I've been singing since I was 7 years old, I'm 19 and am about to go to Switzerland to perform in the Verbier Festival for the second time and this fall I'll be starting my second year at the conservatory of music at SUNY Purchase. I never was a big Jackson fan, but I can't help feeling a great sadness today. I was born in 1991, and by the time I started listening to 80's music, the first details were emerging about the lawsuit against him. What upsets me most was my rush to judge him, label him guilty before any court proceedings. I can only pray that history will celebrate the music and entertainment icon that was Michael Jackson. Please forgive us for not being there when you needed us all the most. We never know what we have until we lose it, and this is the case today. It is sad that Michael Jackson had to leave the world so soon, but I wish the news media would stop focusing on his finances. It is none of our business. Even if he died with just a dollar in his pocket the point still remains that he had money and he spent it. When you are dead, you cannot take it with you so why not spend it.

Why not focus on all the good he did in his life. Even though his life was hell in the latter part that might have contributed to his death this is not the time to dwell on his debts and his short-comings, but on the fact that he lived, he inspired people an deven if no one else loved him, he had the love of his children. He has given a lot of money to charities, so even if he died penniless, he did good with his money. Hey why don't we put a fund together for his children, it is now time for us to give back through his children.

We must remember that Michael Jackson was a son, a brother, a uncle, and a friend. Micheal was a person before he was a icon whom had a gift like us all. Many in the world loved Micheal and many in the world tore Micheal down, but those of us who loved Michael just for who he was as a person with a great talent that he shared with the world and those of us who did not try to benefit off of Micheal, will have a hole in their heart forever. My prayers go out especially to his mother and family, grief is something that has a way of gripping your heart and changing your life forever and only God can get you through it.

Michael is one of the most influential individuals we had the opportunity to see unfold. Certainly a living legend while here and now Legendary.

How big do I think he was ? So big that you could put together his best shows in a compilation and still sell out the tour !!

Micheal Jackson's level of fame is only matched by a handful of other celebrities. In an age now where it's much easier to be famous I don't believe a celebrity can ever reach a level of fame so far ahead of the rest, or anybody in music will ever sell more albums than Thriller. Micheal Jackson is more than a once in a lifetime celebrity.

Although I am thirteen I, like many Americans have grown up listening to Michael Jackson. Being a very devoted fan of his, today and yesterday are the worst days of my life. Although I have the support of family and friends as I cry and grieve. The world has suffered a terrible blow as we lost the greatest tallent, entertainer, and humanitarian the world will ever see. He will NEVER die in our hearts.Michael, I love you more more.

Michael Jackson was a genius. We did not take care of our icon, well who gave us his life and his music. He was called names like Waco Jako which hurt him as he said onBarbara Walters show. and then there was the court fiasco.

We should have taken better care of our icon while he was there alive for us to enjoy. Its sad!! He was a gentle soul as everyone who knew him said..

You have touched many hearts through your music and humanitarian efforts. The world is truly in shock. As I remember how I heard the news riding down the road I turn the radio on and was jammin to some real old school, the song stops and the words come out the speakers and I can not believe how the tears started to fall from my eyes. You are an icon, a ledgend, the king of pop it just cant be so. No matter how bad I try to not think about it, it is everywhere and it is tearing me up. You are loved by so many and are such a loving person its hard to believe that anyone would have ever picked on you. May you finally rest in peace. May your family be blessed and held by Gods loving arms at this difficult time in their lives. You will be eternally missed but your music will live on FOREVER!! You will never be forgotten. To Katherine and Rebe I was raised in the Kingdom Hall as well and even though I do not practice the teachings I totally respect and defend Jehovah and I hope that he provides you the strength that you need as this time. Remember to always hold on to your faith at this difficult time and remember the hope of the resurrection (Rev 21:3,4) . I love your family and it hurt me as if Michael was one of my very own family members had left us. Agape Love

I'm very shocked by the news of Michael Jackson. This is something that we will be talking about for weeks, months, and years to come. But as a fellow fan I blame the people he was sorrounded by and yes what do I know and who am to be making such an allegation but, you have look at the problem as it is. There were way too many people that were living off Michael and a lot of people were after his money. For me it did not set in yet because we are talking about the same person who's been working since the age of 10 who had a lot of family problems and all if a sudden he dies of cardiac arrest and the media is saying he was stressed or overworking to me, there is more to this. My condolosences go to the family and his 3 kids and I hope that they inherit everything that Michael worked for. As a fan I blame his entourage, I blame his "enablers" he will be very missed. But I have one question for the reports to find out, how long was it from when his staff realized that something was wrong with Michael and the time that the 911 call was made.

I am still saddened and shocked by this tragic news. Michael Jackson has always been my hero. I have every single one of his solo albums. I was looking forward to his new shows in London. I thought my hero was back. This is the greatest loss I've ever experienced. MJ, rest in peace.

He will be missed by every one not just in this country but all it was a shock to the world of his death. No one can believe or accept that he's dead and wishes that there was a way to bring him back. I'm only 15 and even though i never knew him when Jackson 5 was starting. I remember what I saw and heard. He was the king of pop and had a sound like no one else. He inspired many people artist and dancers. His music will be played for as long as we can listen and i hope his music will be continued to be passed down generation after generation.

I am a 12 year old African American girl and my heart just stopped when i heard he was in the hospital. I was waiting to see if he would survive this tradgedy. This is a huge loss in the music world. I love michael to death. My dream about him was to meet him in person and have a picture with him. I wouldn't let it go.I would refer to him as my best friend because he was so kind and friendly and he loved children. I will always love Michael no watter what and he will always be in my heart forever. The King of Pop-Michael Jackson and always will be the only one!

Michael Jackson's music, concerts, videos, tv specials and special service to those in need around the world make him one of our planets greatest artists of all times. Every time I hear a song of his, a part of the video of my own life plays in my head and I smile or I sigh, but it is always a profound moment in the memory of my soul's journey...I pray that his souls journey continue's in the love of God.

Most of all, I just wanted to say thank you to Michael Jackson for that loving energy that he gave to us so generously, and at many times, at tremendous sacrifice of his own hapiness. My greatest respects and condolences to his family and friends.

What a crying shame that Michael Jackson had to die so young.
Why didn't the people that surrounded him and were suppose to love him take care of him when he needed them, he would have.....

Michael Jackson wanted to make a "Come Back" tour to prove to everyone that he" Is the One, the Greatest, the Michael Jackson we all learned to Love and Admire.

People are so cruel and are hurtful and thats why Michael Jackson lost touch with us. Now they have nothing to talk about.

While some of the perpetual haters will continue to try to bring the man down with unproven claims, I really believe he was a man who enjoyed kids for kids sake. An American icon and entertainer, the passing of Michael Jackson is a tremendous loss to the world. What Michael gave us with his music is his legacy. Though there are those who would try to make headlines by bringing up his financial woes or his legal problems of the past, his breathtaking talent can never be questioned.

Who cares if Michael was in debt! So is most everyone else in the world in these financially hard times. But listening to Michael and seeing him perform took us to a place of magic so that we could put aside whatever problems we were going through in our every day lives. Michael lifted us up to a place of joy.

Everyone can remember the happiness Michael brought us with his music and his dancing. We all can remember times in our lives when Michael came out with a new song, a new melody and the words of that song has stayed with us many years later. That is how I choose to remember Michael. May he rest in peace.

I didn't know where else to write this because I cannot find an obvious feedback link on your website.

I understand recognizing the musical and cultural impact of a musician who suddenly dies. However, considering there is an uprising Iran, troops are being withdrawn from parts of Iraq soon, North Korea is making threats again, there's a stalling health care bill in congress and million other things more important going on, I think CNN needs to cut back a bit on the covering of this. If I wanted 85% of what I was watching to be about a celebrity, there are other channels I could watch. I'll even take some Gov. Sanford news at this point!

Please go back to real news instead of rambling on and on for hours about this.

Due to his upbringing, Michael Jackson was a very disturbed human being. It is too bad that he never got the help he needed as he was so talented. The world will mourn the loss of a pop superstar whose life ended way too early. Shame on Joe Jackson for putting fame and fortune before the wellness of his children.

Michael will be missed that is for sure. Everything he's done was done with perfection and it showed all the time. The only sadness is that people will still talk about his behavior. People just didnt undestood that he was trying to bring back the childood he missed and portraying it with all the things he done for the children starting with of course Neverland and all the allegation about the child abuse. All his life was about pleasing other, doing better then he did before and never had a chance to grow up as a normal person. It is the path he choose that is true but still..... He loved the children, wanted to be there for them, wanting them to be happy more then he was as a child.
It is very important for me to remember him for all the great, the evolution, the messages in the songs and aolot more.

Michael, you will be missed. My best regards to all his familly, firends and mostly the fan's that stood by him all of these years.

It is usually death that brings things into perspective. When I first heard of his death I thought of him dangling his baby and the allegations. Then, as I watched more coverage and highlights, I remembered the performer he was. He was one of my first crushes when I was young and Thriller came out. I would sing and dance endlessly to his music. When he came back in the early 90's with Black or White and his other work, I was won over again. Him doing a music video with the other MJ, Michael Jordan, was like dream come true for me. I watched the mvid endlessly.

I remember how angry I was when the allegations were made. They were money hungry jerks, just trying to get a piece of him. Then he paid them off and suddenly I had doubts. As a teen that remembered my crush on him and I was devastated. Still, I was unsure. It was enough to shake my faith in him. Then came more allegations and bizarre marriages as well as the admission that he shared beds with children and his own behavior with his son and the way he dangled him with one arm over the balcony...I forgot about everything I thought he was when I was young.

Now, I find that I am deeply saddened as I hear the music I loved so much when I was young. At the same time I find myself feeling hypocritical, because I did feel quite a bit differently towards him of late. When it comes down to it, though, he impacted so much of my early life that I can't help but miss him. His music is something that I will always love. Whatever I felt about him towards the end, a great talent has been taken from this world.

    Often imitated, but never duplicated...

    RIP Michael Jackson.

You are a truly incredible artist an human being. Never once did I believe or listen to any of the headlines. Michael Jackson was not about black or white, Michael was about people, all people. Though his personal life was full of controversy let us never forget that behind the music, the controversy and the pain was a man a human being who through all his struggles never once gave up on the human race or the hope that someday this world would be driven by peace and equality. His song the man in the mirror forced all of us to look at ourselves before judging others. I will miss his lessons he taught through his music and his tenacity to some how make a change in this world through peace.

Michael Jackson was always an Elvis, because they were both very lonely men.. What a terrible loss at such a young age. My heart goes out to his family especially his children. Maybe the music industry now can do a concert in his honor and help get him out of debt, or put proceeds in a trust fund for the children. He gave so much maybe it's time to give back.

As for Nancy Grace how dare you comment last night saying "NOW ONLY GOD AND MICHAEL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED" He is gone respect his spirit, the past is the past..

As for Motown music I still to this day listen to it, like all the greats it will never die....

Im writing this piece of article from the caribbean, St Vincent and the Grenadines to be exact..when i heard the news about Micheal my heart went into shock. I stayed up all night looking at CNN news to get all the information and when i did it was hard, hard to digest, Micheal was an icon in the music industry, he motivated alot of young people to do good and be themselves. we in the caribbean are very far away from the closeness that we would have loved but unfortunately we are not...but that doesnt change the fact that we see him as a true, pure and a sophisticated individual...his music expresses his feelings and the best thing about Micheal was that he always make sure his fans got the best of this very moment im looking at his music on MTV..
i do hope that his memory lives on forever and his music stays alive..i also do hope that his children ends up in the best condolences go out to his family and friends...may his soul rest in peace...we all love and miss you Micheal!!!!!!

I am profoundly saddened by the news of Michael Jackson's death. It was disturbing to know that a great talent such as his, could die at what is considered to be, such a young age.

I watched him perform at a very early age and was astounded at his ability and creativity even then. I admired and loved his stage presence all during his career.

Michael was able to take us through generations of show business talent and use the best parts of each of those talents to develop and create the best parts of all of them. For example, as he grew and made music videos what they are today, we saw bits of Vaudeville in his attire, the grace of Fred Astaire, in his style of dancing, the quiet moves of Charlie Chaplin, the on the toes ballet moves of Mikael Barishnokov, the quick moves of James Brown, the seamless moves of Gene Kelly nd finally, the famous "moon walk" which was done decades earlier in an old black and white musical movie I believe was either Stormy Weather, or St. Louis Blues and performed by Sammy Davis, Jr., when he was a child star. I am sure that your movie historians can research this fact. I do know for a fact that this dance step was performed before Michael Jackson, but nobody did it better.

Michael was like a rare gem or coin. Once that mold was made, it was destroyed. Never to be duplicated again.

To his family, my deepest condolences. To all of his fans, he will always have a place in music history and he will be remembered forever.

From baby boomers up to the elderly, from the 60's flower generation down to the newest generation, like him personally or not, Michael Jackson has made an impact on all of our lives musically. Whether an opera fan or a Dead-head, we all grew up hearing Jackson Five and Michael Jackson's songs for an entire generation and have their entire repertoire permanently ingrained into our psyches. The Jackson legacy grew from a fascinated awe and admiration for the talents of one so young and flawless to respect for the perfectionism, inventiveness, and creative genious of a visionary outperforming and amazing us all with his rhythm and unequalled talent.
Personal quirks and curiousities aside, one can only let one's imagination run wild with the how's and the why's of what caused and shaped Michael's inter-personal associations, attitudes, demons, eccentricities, and seclusion. What remains and will always live on is what he gave us all as an innocent child prodigy, a selfless iconic entertainer and a larger-than-life talented musical legend. Michael, thank you for all you've done for the world and for all the music I'll continue to enjoy and respect. You're a big part of all that has molded me and you will be missed, but your music will always be cherished. Michael was a superstar on earth. He is now a true star in the Universe as well. ! WOW!!!!

I fell in love with Michael when I was in 8th grade, and he first sang "I Want You Back." I have adored him ever since, through all his trials and tribulations. I saw him perform in Denver after Thriller was released, and it was the concert of a lifetime. I never doubted his innocense for a minute. I believe he was a gentle, kind, innocent soul who never had a normal childhood, and therefore regressed in his later life. Michael, I never gave up on you. Rest in peace, and please know that you were loved by many people and will never be forgotten!

I could not believe it. I was so surprised when I heard the news. I was in the food store and somebody told me. I could not believe it. I absolutely loved his music from the Jackson 5 to his solo career. He is an inspiration to all musicians. Rest in Peace, Michael.

He lived a life less ordinary. They say a man is never dead until he is forgotten. In this way Michael will live forever.
The angels were weeping because they thought they had lost one of their own. But they are now happy because you came home.

    Rest in peace Michael

My thoughts are with his family.

I love Thriller, Beat It, Bad, Black or White. I tried to do the Thriller dance for my kids this morning. People need to celebrate his work. Do not celebrate the person who paid a family hush money about his relationship with their child.

He will be missed by every one not just in this country but all it was a shock to the world of his death. No one can believe or accept that he’s dead and wishes that there was a way to bring him back. I’m only 15 and even though i never knew him when Jackson 5 was starting. I remember what I saw and heard. He was the king of pop and had a sound like no one else. He inspired many people artist and dancers. His music will be played for as long as we can listen and i hope his music will be continued to be passed down generation after generation.

Truly we have lost a great entertainer, legend and Icon, but still yet, he WAS someone body's son, brother, father, uncle. You would think that the media would wait at least until after his funeral to go after him like vultures!! Right now his family is grieving, and all of this talk about the negative things that surrounded Micheal, even though he was found innocent is surely not helping during their time of bereavement.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Michael had a genuine love for the world, he was paid back with accusations, ridicule and poverty. This led to his isolation and isolation gifted him death. He’ll always be the king of pop in live or in death.

One of my very first and fondest memories as a young child was going to a friend's birthday party in elementary school that was Michael Jackson themed . We watched Thriller for the first time, dined on paper MJ plates, cups and napkins and we were even entertained by her uncle who had dressed up as Michael head to toe, glitter glove and all!!

He was the soundtrack and heartbeat of my childhood in the 80's and it's so devastating to know he's no longer with us.

My older brother is a huge Michael Jackson fan, and even though I'm not such a big fan as he is, his death deeply affected me. Just seeing his happy, smiling face on some of his videos, and thinking that he's gone forever is a very sad thought. I just hope he got things right with God before yesterday, and I truly hope he's in a better place now, where there's no illness nor sadness nor pain. I love you Michael and will definitely miss you. I remember the first time I ever heard about Michael Jackson. I was around 7 or 8 and he was maybe 45. A speacial came on tv about him and instantly I feel in love. I remember going to school the next day and drawing a picture of Michael and I sitting side by side in a tree, since I heard previously on the speacial that he enjoyed climbing trees. I have been obsessing over Michael Jackson ever since. I remember just a few months ago when school was in I was the only person through out the whole school, teachers included who loved, supported and understood Michael for the man he TRULY is. I use to dream we'd get married and have children of or own and I'd help take care of his children. I can not even express my love for Michael, he was the most beautiful man inside and out. And I can express even more how devestated I am to hear my hero, my future husband in my fantasy, my idol, and my obsession is dead. I went in to disbelievef when I was told, then I grew angry thinking it was a cruel joke, but when I saw it all over tv I couldn't stop crying. Even now Im sheding tears. Michael Jacakson wasn't just a great singer/song writer and everything else that he did beyond perfection. He was a man billions loved world wide! He was our future and our hope for world peace. I understood michael in every decision he made. I feel as if a part of me has gone with him, and I know everyone keeps saying that but thats how I feel. A part of me that will never heal. Michael was a lonely man and I felt this sense of sadness. I always dreamed of meeting Michael but now I know its no longer possible. If could tell Michael something right now I'd say I love you with a passion Michael and im suffering alot now that your gone. Your fans loved you with all our might and will never ever for a moment forget you. You were our hope. You are my hero. I can't stop crying, we lost a beautiful man but it's what Allah willed. Im glad you died Muslim (if the media is correct) and like Jermain said "May Allah be with you forever Michael, I love you." R.I.P. Michael Jackson, you will be truly missed not only by me but by the whole world.
My sympathy goes out to his children and family. May Allah bless them as well.

I am just shocked, and like most, the reality hasn't set in.

I wish life had given him in return what he had given to life.

We grieve for our loss, but I am happy that Michael Jackson FINALLY has no worries about his health, his finances, his fans, his foes, his anxieties and his comeback tour.

We all knew Michael Jackson. We knew him through our television sets, through our radios, through his images, through his unparalled dancing and masterful performances. As a living legend, he created an emotional experience in people across every geographic and cultural boundary like no other. So whether we had the opportunity to see him in concert, we still were connected to him. This is why hearing of his death is extremely sad and unsettling. My heart goes out to his children and his family members. Let's all keep his musical genius alive through future generations.

Big Ed........oh no. Farrah, not my beautiful Charlies Angel! I then remember thinking, my mom always says it comes in threes. Never did I think it would be Michael. I was driving when my cell phone rang and it was my daughter calling from work asking had I heard. I said yes, my girl Farrah went home this morning and I am sad. She said no mommy, are you listening to the radio? It's Michael. I didn't ask "Michael who?" I asked, "Michael what?" Before she could answer my eyes began to water and my seventeen year old daughter was getting the drift of the conversation and began to cry.
Here's the thing, my world as far as music, dancing, house parties with my friends, talent shows and my afro began with Michael and the Jackson Five. I have been partying with Michael for as long as I can remember. His music made me happy. I grew up with Michael. What an awesome and beautiful talent. With all of the ugly that is surrounding his home going, my spirit will not allow me to believe that Michael would ever hurt a child. Please let this go! As with myself, the Lord put something special on our hearts when it comes to the children, and yes, it can be very lonely at times. I just happen to be the mother of two beautiful children of my own, but my battles while dealing with those who can't understand my passion and desires to create a .positive life for our children can be painful and exhausting. We will call them "the haters." With Michael, it was to the extreme as he is a world wide ICON. Michael had the beautiful heart of a child and I am so saddened by this. With this, I can relate to Michael. I am happy that the Lord called him home to relieve him of all of the pain that was so visible to us all. The pain created by the world. I will miss his musical genius, his wonderful spirit and his genuine love for the children and for his people, I also hope that parents of talented children pay close attention to what their overwhelming drive can create.

God Bless and I love you Michael, you are at PEACE.

My greatest memory of Michael Jackson was when I was a child. On my 5th or 6th birthday, I told my mom I wanted a Michael Jackson cake. A Michael Jackson cake is what I got! He was drawn out in icing. It was a truly awesome birthday for me!

I have always loved his music and I always will. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Without Michael, I would have never met the love of my life.

The day I met my best friend who is now my boyfriend was when he danced liked Michael Jackson on the gym floor during PE. He said he did it to get my attenction. He found me when I sang Billie Jean behind him while running around in the gym.

Michael is an inspiration to us all. Not just me and my love. We should not think him dead because Michael wanted to be immortal, and he can be! We can keep him alive through his music and in ourselves. We are what keeps him alive today.

Michael Jackson was not just a icon, a legend, and etc. He was also a father...a etc.
He was a person just like you and me. He at least deserves respect.

He is in a better place now. I will always pray with him. God Bless 🙂

Been a fan since 1969 when I was 4.Whenever he came to NY at Madison Square Garden watching him move was not like a human at all HE WAS PHENOMENAL.He was a great part of my childhood in the 70's,my first album "Ben" and my first concert. He totally dominated the whole 80's decade as entertainer of that decade. He will never be duplicated,he was incredible, his influence will reign forever. When I found out I cried and didn't get much sleep, but listening to his music I picked up and remember the joy and love he gave to the world. In our household we knew he was the king of pop before Liz Taylor gave it to him....MICHAEL FOREVER

I loved his music, his videos, his humanitarianism, and I empathized with his eccentricities. I will always remember the day I saw him around year 2004. He had a business meeting at a company I worked. I, and my co-workers, peered through the office door window trying to get a glimpse of him. I was struck by how tall he was, and despite people talking about him as being small, his statuesqueness overwhelmed everything and everyone in that room. The world will miss you, Michael Jackson.

Micheal Jackson was and will always be a major influence in the music arena. He was such a wonderful and outstanding performer, he could never be forgotten. Im only 24 but I remember seeing Thriller for the first time at a young age, unusually I wasnt afraid like most kids my age, I was in aww and wanted to be just like Mike. Throughout life I was even made fun of for my high pitched voice and high skin tone, often being called Micheal Jackson. Looking back now, I dont think It was such a bad comparison. I appreciate all that Micheal did for the people of the world not just thru his music but just being who his is. You will be missed and forever remembered! Christopher-Tyler ,Texas

The tears being shed for Michael Jackson could fill an ocean. It is a massive loss, but greatness is was Michael Jackson was. I'm sad that he is gone, but also relieved and happy for him. There were too many people keeping him under attack, stress is what killed him. He was surrounded by bloodsuckers and constant media screwtiny. He said he was a lonely man and you could see it. He cried when he spoke of his childhood abuse. Maybe Micheal had issues, but don't we all? Wouldn't you have problems if your father was like his? He enjoyed making others happy through his music. Michael like to make others smile, he was happy for us when we were happy. Let's be happy for Micheal now, as he is in a better place and is no longer hurting. You are loved, admired and appreciated for all you did Micheal, may you rest in peace as you are now with the angels.

I have loved Michael Jackson for as long as I can remember. When I was 12 years old he came to Birmingham Alabama and I attended my first concert. Although it was my first concert, I managed to get to the front and without much thought, jumped on stage and hugged Michael. At 45, I have long since stopped collecting anything and everything with his name on it, but the love remained (although closeted). He will live forever in my heart and my prayers go out to his family that must be suffering more than any of us can really imagine. Michael made a sad childhood for me bearable. His music lifted and transported me to a better happier place and I will always be grateful to him for that. I will never forget the Victory Tour ‘84. I was there when all 6 brothers came on stage in those sunglasses!

I was cast as an inmate in a music video starring Micheal titled THEY DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT US from the HISTORY album. shot in Astoria,NY – Spike Lee, the director, stood on a soap box to increase his height to 5 feet, told the cast,"Now,people, when the principle talent comes to set – don't look at him, don't talk to him, don't ask for an autograph, etc". We thought this was BS, simply because we saw no limo or SUV to bring a STAR there to Queens. But after a 15 minute wait, he arrived – and the look of reserve faded and he waved at us and said hello and was generally down to Earth. Now, if any of you haters come up here to tear this man down, beware! Some ass clown , just like you, will return the favor, I can assure you – that includes Nancy Grace, too.

Michael Jackson proved to be so much to the world countless number of times. He was an inspiration to us all–even to today's newest artists that all teens listen now.

I am sick to my stomach about Michael Jackson.

I cannot stop the tears from coming.

I have been a fan of Michael Jackson Since ABC was out in the 70's.

when "Off the wall" came out I remember me and my friends singing PYT, Human Nature and others.

When Thriller was released I had posters all over the wall My sister Mary Bout me a Photo book of Michael that no one in Muskegon Michigan had.

When MTV Premier "Beat It" our friends on my block gathered around our TV cause we were a chosen few that had cable. It was like we were at the concert, Tears droped we were so excited.

Today as a 39 years old woman I still have Michael Jackson's Button, Glove, Books, and Picture.

My kids grew up loving Michael and they are grown.

He is the greatest ever done it in the world!!!!!! The Media can not take that from him no matter how much bad coverage they try to do.
None can compare to Michael Jackson.

Michael was about peace and togetherness
Please speak positive about Michael because that's what he gave us all.

Peace Hope, Growth, Positive thinking, Encouragement, Trust Love of all race, I can go on and on.

He was the greatest man ever Black or White!!!!

This devastates me. My heart goes out to Michael Jackson;s children, and family, as well as fans that are torn up as I. I stuck by Michael through his court battles, and there are certain people that took great advantage of Michael, and stole money from him. They will deal with God when that time comes. The people who did take advantage of Michael Jackson, I hope they feel some type of remorse. I lost a sister in 2007 to a terrible car accident, and there is nothing like losing a loved one unexpectedly. My heart aches as if I lost my sister again. My prayers will be with the children and the family. Michael was a huge icon and I will miss him terribly. My eyes are tearful. God Bless the children, and the family and the saddened fans, I love you all. Sandra Carter

I was a fan of Farrah. When in High School we tried to look and play charlies angels, saying"freeze" pretending we had guns and holding our books for the next class...walking hand in hand like bestfriends and our hair swaying side to side trying to look like Farrah.
As I got older I had a bit of troubles in my life with men. Now with ptsd, when the therapist ask how was it? what happen? I use the sentence saying, Did you watch THE BURNING BED W/FARRAH FAWCETT. She did contribute something there to Battered Women.
It's hard to explain abuse...that movie helped me explain to my Shrink what happened to me......I could not speak about the abuse at the time...So thank you Farrah you helped me and now you know it..May you be with the real Angels............Alba

I grew up listening to Michael Jackson's music for the past decade, me being the age of 15. Although I personally did not grow up with the Jackson 5, I have listened to most of their music. My whole family is a fan of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5. I had received text messages yesterday about his passing and was very devastated to these news.

My cousin John, is a big fan of Michael Jackson. As of yesterday, June 25, 2009, John has been married to his loving wife for two months now. The music at the reception was based off of Michael Jackson and his tunes. My cousin even came out with a pair of white gloves during his entrance to imitate Michael Jackson. The night started off with the song P.Y.T by Michael Jackson as their intro song to the reception.

As you can see, the King of Pop has been an inspiration to all generation. He will forever live in our hearts. My condolences goes out to the Jackson Family and his loved ones.

God Bless 🙂

My childhood pop star is gone. The whole world is deeply sadden. He made such a huge impact in everyones life around the world. He earned his 50 years of wisdom. He has inspired me in many ways. When I thought of giving up I couldn't do it. No matter what profesion I held I remember him for his struggles in life and in how he made it. His songs were from the heart and deepest thoughts.. They will never be no one like him. Will miss you deeply. RIP M.J.

Remembering: My heart is aching right now. I still can't believe it. They are showing all his memories on a lot of cable networks. The memories are just flashing by me...In High School I had a Beat It jacket with 31 buttons of him displayed proudly with a Gerri Curl of coarse!. ...Man...the memories! I went to see the Jacksons when I was 8 1/2 years old in 1975 at the Circle Star in San Carlos with my rhinestone jean jumpsuit~matching with my mom, saw them again in 1978, 1984 Victory tour, 1991 was the Dangerous Tour~my last concert to see him and it was REMARKABLE! I feel so lucky to have shared my yellin at him with a headache for 2 days and no voice for 2 weeks! At the concerts, you can feel the bass beat in your heart, the tears of love when he broke into those soft heart songs...Wow....I can't believe at age 50 he's actually gone. I'm 41 and my kids are saying, "Mom, he was to young." Sad, sad, sad day. I also told my children to remember this day, because they will be talking about this for many many years to come when they have their own children.

there's also the death of the gorgeous FARRAH FAWCETT !
she was the icon of the beauty. and she was getting married .. yesterday i cried so much over MJ and over her! it was so sad. she's the strongest woman ever and everyone loved her for that. men would like to go around her and women would wish to have her hair and her smile. she was unique and beautiful and we miss her. we love you. rest in peace <3

Yesterday, i was out and when i came back home, my parents told me the sad new... the king of pop died. i couldn't believe them. i didn't wanted to believe them. it wasn't true ! so i went on the internet and found out that they were right... i didn't wanted them to be right ... i cried the whole night and wishing that it wasn't true. i was terribly shocked. MICHAEL JACKSON IS DEAD! i still don't realise it because it was so unexpected! he planned his comeback and i was supposed to go see him for the first time. now i'm very sad that i never got to see him. michael jackson will never die. he's somewhere hereand his music will continue to be enjoyed by the next generations. yesterday, we lost a legend. he was a very lonely boy, without any estime of himself. he was wrong to have no self estime, he was amazing! and he will continue to amaze everyone on this earth. actually, i'm crying at the same time i'm writing and i'm trying to write as much as i can (well i'll have to stop somehow!) i'm heartbroken for his children and family. God bless him.he was so young to die! he's a hero and as i was actually saying, he will never die. he had to live under pressure and spotlights since he was 5 and i don't think he handled it, that's why he passed away. On June 25, 2009 we had a great loss. we're all thinking of you MJ and we love you so much ! i gope you feel better where you are. you're amazingly talented. we miss you so much <3

What can be said after such an enormous loss? To see Michael Jackson to die so early, so unexpected leaves me sorrowful. I wanted to see a time where people would focus on Michael and his music. I wanted him to see a time where we only cared about the reason we all knew him in the first place.

I've waited so long for a comeback from God's great gift to us so that the public he loved could return his efforts and give him the peace he lost years ago. We have not been platinum fans. Michael needed love back from us.

If I could have shared last words with Michael, I would have liked to say, "Thank you Michael. Thank you for pressing through and giving us everything you could. I'm sorry there were so many problems, difficulties, and torment in your lifetime. I had many days that I wanted it to change. Please know that I was as helpless as you. Myself and my family will love and miss you always."

It's painful to watch CNN, which has done such marvelous, important work following the Iranian uprising turn the same level of interest and focus to the passing of this patheitc creature. For all of those of you who find this to be the worst day of your life, remind yourself of the mollions the man paid out in the early 1990's to make child molestation charges go away. The spectacle of this sad clown's death should not be knocking far more improtant news of the air.

As all of the world–I and my household are devastated after hearing the news of the death of Michael Jackson. I readily remembered the times all of my family and friends as children-while lying on the floor of our home -watching Michael on the 'black and white' TV-claiming which of us would marry Michael or one of the other member of the Jackson 5. Then we would jump up and dance to what-ever song he was singing. I received calls from my siblings and children–from Knoxville TN to Pasadena TX–all expressing disbelief–our hearts are broken.

Rest In Peace Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson is a Legend. God puts Legends here for a limited amount of time, which only the Lord knows. He will always be here with us thru his music, the joy he brought to the world and his talent. Let's all let him rest in peace. For those who feel he has done things wrong, if God can forgive him why can't you? Is there any one of us without error? He was and will always be the most talented entertainer the world has ever seen. Condolences to the Jackson family. Let's all focus on the contributions he made to the industry of music and the love he brought to so many people.

Michael was an entertainer loved around the world. At the time, I was 7 or 8 years old, I remember listening to his albums on my cousins Fisher Price record player. We never knew how BIG he really was then. We just loved to listen to his music day and night. He will surely be missed in the music industry not to mention all the charities he was a part of.

I did not know Michael Jackson personally, but I did know his musical genius. Music has a wonderful way of connecting everyone. No matter your race or age music has a language that unifies us all. I don't remember anything in my life that did not have some of Michael Jackson in it: health and sickness, motion and stillness, clothes and accessories, my towells, my umbrellas, my school supplies, my wall decorations. To me, he was friend, idol, teacher, entertainer, hero...He was my model of excellence in everything...I loved him in unusual, inexplicable ways. The world will NEVER EVER be the same...

I ran across this quote I'm not sure of who it's author is but it's certainly true, "Life's not measured by the breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away" and it is certain that when Michael Jackson met his maker that the world had a breath taken away but the moments of Mr. Michael Jackson will live in our hearts forever. Rest in peace your legacy will live on for an eternity. God Bless the Jackson Family in this tragic loss, May the Lord walk each step with you through your journey of life.

I have never loved, respected, envied, feared, felt so sympathetic, or been angered by one person on this planet. To envoke such emotion, to so many people on this planet is simply the embodiment of what it means to be human. Michael represented the best of what we could be and showed us that for all our great intentions and deeds, their is a time when a part of us will fail others and ultimately fail one's self. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Michael for all is unearthly and magical persona, was what we all are, human! For every smile that he gave us, he has earned a feather; June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson completed his wings and is now ANGEL!

It is hard to believe that Michael is gone. I have sat up all night watching his videos on MTV, then at 7am, I watched Good Morning America on TV while having the radio on The Tom Joyner Morning Show. I keep listening to reports but it dosen't seem real. I don't care about allegations, or anything else that has been said against him. He was a great performer, and I believe that he had a good heart. I feel so sorry for Michael. My Mother always have told us that it dosen't matter what you have, we all have to leave this world. My Father loved The Jackson Five, I can see him grinning when he saw them on television, he would look at us and say, can't ya'll do anything ? I remembered that yesterday, and I cried for my Father (passed away in 1973) and I cried for Michael.

This tragic news is becoming more apparent all over town, from the bank all the way to the stop lights. People now asking, "do you believe," rather then, "have you heard?" This moment in history for me is likened to the passing of Princess Diana and Mother Theresa, never had I imagined that I would live to see the home going of some of the most influential people. My deepest sympathy to Janet Jackson and her family, and his children as his presence will truly be missed.

I was never a big fan of his art but he was definitely popular culture icon. I feel it is inappropriate for some of the posters to refer to him as a "child molester". We must remember he was acquitted.

At the time I thought it was impossible for him to have a fair trial because it seemed that just about everyone with whom I spoke thought he was guilty.

Jackson struck me as a lonely misunderstood individual.

This is not only the death of an outstanding performer but also a great person filled with compassion. Michael’s death really strikes us all because we all realize that death affects us all; no one is invincible. As people, we cannot hide from death let alone ourselves. I personally have no choice to be filled with grief because the sudden death of Michael was overshadowed by constant criticism rather than his numerous achievements. At the age of 15, I myself have known that every single one of us undergoes an internal struggle. We all make our choices differently, which makes us unique. Though advice can be helpful, malicious criticism only reinforces the strength of our internal struggles. It is very sad that in his last years Michael could not be appreciated as the extraordinary man he is. Today and from now on Michael will be celebrated and the world must understand that as people, we are to be treated as human beings and appreciated each day because no one knows what will be our last day.
    Rest In Peace Michael Jackson

Did Michael Jackson suffer from anorexia and/or bulimia? The same type of cardiac arrest occurred with Karen Carpenter even after she had tried to recover. Both of theses disorders take such a hard toll on the body and to add this to his extreme working schedule. I will always love Michael Jackson's music and my condolences to his family.

I'm sure he is sharing the same fate as every other pedophile in the downstairs room, he was a great singer and dancer but we should also remember that he was a very sick man that molested boys. Nobody pays off a family $25 million if they are innocent and he even went on an interview and said it was "Normal" to sleep in the same bed with young boys that are not family members with Martin Brashear. This man does not deserve the praise that people are giving him. If he had molested your child, would you still feel this way???

The more I hear, the more I see Michael from childhood to now, I wonder.........did he take his own life? The world has not been very kind to him. The acusations and the trials and tribulations had to break Michael's heart, as it has mine. I thought of songs of his, "Have You Seen My Childhood", "Man in the Mirror", Leave Me Alone, Ben, and "You are Not Alone. Michael has been talking to us for years and I guess no one has paid enough attention to make sure that he recieved the help he so needed. Michael needed his heart mended, his inner child healed, but what did we do? We absorbed his genius and his soul. I still can't internalize this one. Although I am only a year older, I feel as though I have lost a child. My tears are for his stolen childhood and his lost soul.
Again, be at peace Michael and thank you for all the joy you created io in our lives through your musical genius and your deep desire to give the people what they needed.

You can speak ill of the dead if they have done “ill” while they were alive. And there isn’t anything much more “ill” than molesting children.

Even though Michael was found not guilty of the crime of sexual molestation of a minor, I would ask a simple question; would you allow your teen or pre teen son to spend a night at Jackson’s home unchaperoned?

Because if you all remember O.J. Simpson was also found not guilty. Money can buy alot of things, even a verdict of innocence. Because we all know how inherently unjust the United States Justice system is and I believe can they can be very easily bought.

Overall, the tragic death of Michael Jackson is impossible to accept during this timeframe in our lives and his. However, his death will be more acceptable if the cause was ruled a natural death. On the hand, it will be a total disaster if the cause of his death was because of foul play or the misuse of any drug.

Either way, Michael Jackson has “Gone to Soon”.

It's a tragic thing that the King of Pop-Michael jackson has died at the young age of 50 years old. Michael Jackson is an iconoc igure around the world and I grew up listening and singing his music -while trying to imitate-his sound, But to the American people and people around the world–we will all miss him–We all love him.
To me personally, I think that M.J is truly the real –'American Idol.' Rest in Peace, Michael.

This was a shocker for me. My 10 year old grandson called to give me the news which I did not believe. I turned on the TV and there it was. I have always loved his music and when my grandson would come over, he would ask to hear the music too. I am 73 and he is 10. Now is that transcendence across the generations or what?

It's ridiculous. I saw more comments against him than praising him just one day before he died. It's a great lesson for all of us. It is too late to say we are sorry to a passed-away person. We should have been nicer to him. It is not easy to live a celebrity's life.

In honor of Michael's achievements I think we his fans should initiate one super large block party. From block to block, city to city, & state to state not only here but through out the world in his honor.

The World is shocked to learn about the untimely death of the pop star, but for pete's sake please stop reiterating about his passed lawsuit, debts and anything else that discredited him. You guys are double dipping, cant be saying how great the King were, and at the same time speaking negatively about him. He was acquitted of all the charges bought against him, or whichever ways the case were disposed of. Micheal was a great man who has put the mark of our great country throughout the World. He was loved by more people than those who could have ever hated him because of his short comings. May his soul RIP.

Michael was an Angel sent from Heaven. He delivered a message from God through his music, giving ways and child liked manager. He offered Love. Just like Christ, some believed and others doubted. Their were also the haters. Yet, at the end of the day Jesus prevailed and now lives in perfect peace. Michael was strong and kept the faith thru the good and bad times. God has called him to a higher reward for his faithfulness. One that's deserving for a true "King." Perhaps, he is now singing in that Heavenly Choir. I am happy that my boy Mike is now at home surrounded by true "Love." A place where joy shall never end a place to be "Free at last, Free at last. Thank God Almighty, Mike, you are free at last."

I just listened to the 911 Call.. Did I hear it right?? Were they performing CPR on the BED prior to the operator telling them to put Michael on the Floor?? Any person certified in CPR should have known that you CANNOT effectively administer CPR on a bed.. Hopefully I'm mistaken, but that's what I heard...

i dont know how to Perform CPR but when listening to the 911 call the EMS worker said the patient should be placed on the floor and the person speaking said he was on the bed. If there was "doctor" there, MORE EQUIPED than the EMS worker than why was Michael on the bed while CPR was being performed?

While Micheal Jackson's death is very very sad-I feel their is not enough talk on CNN about Farrah's death, what about poor Ryan O'Neil and their child...I bet they are upset that the death of Michael as taken away from Farrah's long battle with her life and they deserve the same respect that Mr. Jackson is receaving..

We are nine year-old girls from Salt Lake City and both of us were HUGE fans of Michael. We were very sad and shocked. We really looked up to him. We have all of his songs on cd's. We are sorry for his children. We were hoping to go to his concert in London. We liked how he included children in his videos also. He would be touched to know that there are K-trillions of people crying over his death.

First and foremost, I am still in shock, and my heart goes out to his children and family. I grew up in the island of Jamaica, listening to my idol, Michael Jackson at a tender age of 8. I would listen to his (LP)album of Thriller over and over again.
At that age, when the single of "We Are The World" came out, I thought Michael Jackson was the President of the United States, and everytime he would come on I would scream.

So to my idol Mr. Michael Jackson, I hope his soul will RIP, he is in a better place now at rest...and the media can't bring you down anymore

I am LIVID after hearing the statement issued by Debbie Rowe. How dare she call herself Debbie Rowe Jackson. She never wanted to be a Jackson before until today. Making the comment "our children" she is a baby seller!!!! She sold her own childeren to their father, all because she was a bloodsucker after Michael's money. She gave up all her perental right for an undisclosed amount of money. HOW DARE SHE!!!! this woman has a lot of nerve. You are no Jackson and you have SOLD your children, you have no rights to them any more. You're a BABYSELLER!!!!! It is because of people like you that I am relieved for Micheal that he has left us and is in a better place. You should be ashamed of yourself. I am holdin my tongue on what I'd like to say to you.

Poor Michael , it is so sad he finished his life in this way, probably trying to make it for his last concert tour to earn money he still needed! Victim of himself and of the storm of crapulous people ready to do anything just to gain money! Why he didn't follow a serious psychotherapy instead of destroying himself and his physical entity?

I woulld like to criticise Dr. Deepak Chopra for choosing this exact moment to go on television to broadcast MJ's drug addiction. If he was such a good friend as he claims he would keep such information private and would have consulted his family instead of broadcasting it to the world on the exact day of his death. It's a shame how Mr. Chopra chooses such a moment for publicity. Besides does there not exist doctor-patient confidentiality in the US?

I first saw the Jackson Five as an opening act for Jerry Butler at the Regal Theatre in Chicago. Even then Michael's star was shining very brightly and you knew they were destined for greatness. There harmonies and dance steps were very sharp for their ages. This thursday was a very sad day losing Farrah and then Michael and my prayers go out to both families at such a difficult time. However, the media's negative coverage is really getting the best of me. You guys are really concentrating on the child molestation charges, his financial difficulties and debts and now his drug addiction. I guess this is the real news that you want to report and not the greatness of the man. You show 15 or 20 second clips of a performance and spend the next 30 minutes reporting on his charges of abuse or his weird lifestyle. I guess you have to report the negative but please discuss his greatness and explain what made him great and why he will be cradled in the arms of immortality.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the legendary Michael Jackson. He was a brilliant singer, dancer, and all around creative genius. As a counterbalance to most of the remarks. I do not have in mind ANY of MJ's songs. It is a kind of mudic that has on me only a disturbing effect. I guess there are just many millions like me who do not even care to show up.
HOWEVER, to have attracted so many people around him is certainly a sign of great talent. But Talent IS NOT ENOUGH: there must have been additional things to propulse even a talent to such stratospheric numbers. There are and have been excellent singers composers and dancers in the world who simply didn't have the CHANCE of having all the favorable circumstances reunited behind them.
Although I'm not fond of songs in general, there are two great exceptions that come to my mind tand I think will mark history: Elvis, for his extraordinary VOICE and the Beattles. :I THink their fame will survive longer then MJ, may be also because msic was more a means then a source of pleasure and dedication. Once he got the means, he used the gains to aliment inappropriately his unhappy, troubled and weird personality

To tell you the truth I was shocked and couldn't believe it.

He's 2 months older than me and I grew up listening to him and Donny Osmond.

I'm from Toronto, Canada and had cousins living in Indiana that I visted back in the 70's one year and they didn't live too far from his town.

The Jackson Five were big in their lives too.

I remember growing up and hearing about his father's abuse of him and could relate to getting beatings too. I used to think "Hey, why can't we defend ourselves". But back then if you got beatings from your parents people thought you must have done something to deserve it.
I remember wanted to beat his father back then like he beat them.

I can see now why he would want to love children and not want any of them to have to go through what he did in his younger life.

I guess he forgave his father because he was with him at his trial.
Personally, I still don't like the man. He looks mean and evil.

Anyways, I will miss his music. I just wish he had true friends who could have told him back in the 80's that he didn't need to change his face to look like Diana Ross that he was perfect just the way he was.

I just wish all those celebrities that are stating he was their friend would just shut up. Where were they all his life when he needed true friends. I didn't see one of them let alone his family keeping in touch with him everyday. Going on outings. Doing friend things.

I feel for him being so alone in such a noticable world.

I hope he's in peace now in heaven and that their are many angels to keep him company and befriend him.

As a fellow 50 years old I will miss his music and his determination to do the best in his field.

He truly was the "King of Pop".

I am heartbroken and still very much in shock over Michael's death. I had to ask myself why am I so devastated over a man I never knew personally, and the answer is he is very real to me through his music. His Billie Jean video was the first video I ever saw on MTV, his voice was the one I heard on the radio when I had my first kiss, and his Motown performance was the first ever television special that made my heart soar with excitement, I still remember that day so vividly. Even though the man behind the music is gone, his music is forever embedded in our hearts.

I find it sad that some people are so mean & cruel even in death...I
hope the day will come when you will have to acknowlege & publicly apologize that you were wrong about Michael Jackson. CNN is reporting the story over and over for the ratings. Man in the Mirror is mostly a negative documentary! Michael's life story is so much more than the negative press CNN has given him. To the greedy people who only saw dollar signs, guilt usually catches up with you. CNN why don't you show the good that Michael tried to do and also give some attention to Farrach Fawcett as well. They were both loved and
will be truly missed. Michael Jackson was truly above all the rest when it came to entertainment. No matter how we leave this earth, when our time is up it's time to go no matter how young we may be and even Michael knew that. So thanks for the wonderful, wonderful memories and rest in peace my friend for you are in a much better place . To the Jackson family: Stay strong for this to shall pass and loving memories remain. Peace and blessings to you.

He touched so many in many ways. During our life times it is hard not to remember a time without Michael Jackson. It will be equally hard imagining a life time without him.His family deserves their time to morn. We should respect that and wait will all the BS till later.
The horror also has come to light that someone would be low enough to sell tickets for his services. The family gave these at no cost. This is the ulimate disrespect to the Jackson Family. I hope they ask for Photo id's so that those tickets will be useless.
How sad. How would you feel if i was your son, brother, father or uncle and someone was doing this to them? There are people and have rights to peace at this time.

I am a "senior" who has loved his music for 40 years. I never believed those vicious rumors, to me, he was a little boy with a huge talent, and all the children were his safety net and his friends. he will be missed by many. how sad, he doesn't get to know how much he was loved.. When I was searching youtube videos in order to reminisce his legacy I stumbled across a chilling video of him entitled "Michael Jackson And Kids Hit Toy Store in Beverly Hills" and it dated May 15 (i think) and in it he was bombarded by paparazzi however one person kept yelling at him asking him if he's "going to watch Ferrah Fawcet tonight". It was sooo ironic and creepy because they ended up dying on the same day!! Sooo eerie! It's as if it was a sign or something! Too ironic to not be..

I love Michael Jackson soooooooooooo much!! I wanna cry every time I see a picture or video of him because his death is just EXTREMELY saddening to me. I can't believe it @ all!! What makes me even more sad is that Michael didn't really depart on the best of terms... he just got done being acquitted 10 charges of felony and being attacked by the media and such. Michael IS truly a legend and he is TRULY the greatest entertainer that EVER lived! He didn't have to cuss or sell sex in order for people to listen to his songs or watch his videos like now-a-day. He IS truly timeless as every generation can listen to his music. I am hurting by his loss... I can't even fathom what his family is feeling. My best wishes for his friends and family. Michael is in a better place now.

The world has truly lost a musical genius of our time. He was a true gift from God . A soul who truly cared about the state of our planet and its people of all races. I am deeply saddened and angry. I am sure Michael became ACCIDENTLY addicted to prescription drugs. When will the Physicians who knowingly prescribed these drugs to him knowing that these drugs are harmful be held accountable ? The world has seen this tradgedy over and over again. The physicians who enabled Michael Jackson should have their license revoked. Money is the root of all evil. For God sakes, Michael Jackson is no longer with us. The laws need to change. M.J. We love you !

I did not know Michael ,but I could feel he was in need of help. For all of those people who dislike Michael for what he was acused of, Micheal laughed and still forgave them.Michael is a rolemodle for his ability to forgive, to be knocked down and still get back up.Michael is truely an "American Hero,"so I would've enjoyed to meet him,but it is all still a dream and a nightmare all at the same time.
