It seems to me that there is a double standard "One for Michael Jackson" and "Another for Teddy Kennedy". I am all for forgiveness and redemption, but the media appeared to focus more on the positives with Kennedy and more on the negatives with Kennedy. WHY?

I was quite taken aback the other day when the Kennedy family announced they want one of the young Kennedys to move back to Massachusetts so they can run for and be elected to Ted Kennedy's senate seat. I guess the voters there will vote for anyone in the state, regardless of their background and qualifications, as long as their last name is “Kennedy".
This is truly remarkable, especially in light of the fact that Teddy was once kicked out of Harvard for cheating on his college exams! But when you weigh the good he did in his life against the bad (this, of course, applies to all of us!) the good far outweighs the bad!
