I have a new idea on how to extinguish wild land fires. I think concussion weapons could be used on wild land fires in the initial stages before they get a chance to do all the damage to life and property. We lost two firefighters in Souther California yesterday, too many !!!!!!!!! Traditional firefighting methods don't work on these fires, we need new ideas. Concussion would eliminate oxygen from the fire area, removing one leg of the fire triangle and extinguishing the fire. This could be followed up with air drops of retardant and water to stop any flare up of the fire. The same plane that drops the water and the retardant could drop the concussion weapon. It could be made to exploid above ground for maximum effect of eliminating the oxygen to the fire. A GOOD IDEA THAT NEEDS TO BE CONSIDERED !
The money has been spent on the weapon for use in war, let use it for the good of the public, and save lives, property, and MONEY !!
