GOP response to President's health care speech
Re-making the health care system.
It's a critical night for president obama as he delivers a major speech to congress - and to all of us.
Congressman Charles Boustany, of Louisiana, will give the republican rebuttal to the President's speech.
Boustany is also a heart surgeon, and the only republican doctor on the house ways and means committee.
He spoke with CNN's Fredricka Whitfield.
Having a televised republican response after the president makes a major speech is disrespectful and didn't deserve coverage.This shows me how desperate the republicans are. In my opinion, they don't want President Obama to be successful with a public healthcare option for political reeasons.It would make it harder for them to run against him in 2012.That is why they didn't have any of the possible republican presidential candidates make that speech.As far as cutting down the number of lawsuits that the republicans prefer to talk about.First doctors need to stop leaving instruments in patients and amputating the wrong limbs.
I hear Rep. Boustany laud the "job creators" who are shipping jobs overseas for the lowest cost, far removed from an American wage, to capitalize on the workers' poverty overseas. I hear him promote the idea that this reform is "rationing care" and I wonder what is his extrapolation of "denied coverage due to pre-existing condition" and how it could be anything but "rationing care".
Why aren't you reporting the expose regarding ACORN? Are you in bed with Obama administration like NBC is? I'm so disappointed in my favorite broadcasters!!!!!
To joyce...Why can't you say on the subject rather then as usual, deflect the dis-respect shown to our President onto something that has nothing to do about well...Nothing.
People like you, the Republican party and now the great state of South Carolina are hopeless, there is no means to get those of you that feel
the way you do to cahnge. This has moved away from Nat'l Health Care for all Americans to plain and simple politics. You simpletons only want to see this President fail, only see you returning to power, and only "Want Your Country Back".
Wake up please and know that there is a "New Sheriff" in town and things WILL CHANGE....
