Betty if it's a hoax and just move on you say... How are you going to fill the next 3 days of programing? I can't believe you guys dropped the "moon bomb" story within minutes of the moon bomb going off. Nasa and CNN everyone that hyped this story just dropped it. Why? They said within minutes of the moom bomb plume to collect data they said they'd know if they found ice or frozen water... WELL? Where there's water there's probably life! Come on you could talk about that for the next 8999 hours of cable news!!

I think it is a hoax and if the parents are found guilty the charges should be more than an misdemeanor. All the man hours and expenses incurred could have been focused on catching people like child abusers and murders. The department of child services should investigate. If the parents had the child lie and go along with this, what does this teach the child.
There are many things in this world that warrant attention other than these people. Please don't waste your time on this story. I would rather hear about people doing good in this world than these people and as long as you cover it, you are giving them exactly what they wanted.

How many more minutes or hours are we going to have to hear such a worthless story. It's not news, it's a waste of our time (viewers)
I'd like more about Iran, earthquakes, and hurricanes that are approaching . Now. Soldiers are being killed, world power officials are getting antsy and your wasting air time on a bad, boring, senseless story.

The parents of balloon boy knew he wasn't in the balloon. Watch the video of him releasing it. There was no box attached to it. This was in fact a hoax and the abuse of emergency services should be dealt with severely. There should be restitution to all agencies involved and jail time. People trying to create their own reality shows need to be taught there is a very clear line that should not be crossed

It is most probably a hoax and the media went for it. I personally had a few doubts of my own when I watched it live on the air, however being live on the air brought some credibility to the story. The hoax would not have been the same without the media, and therefore they should share some of the responsibility. We should not impose a bigger fine or punishment on this strange and somewhat wacky family because the media made the story this much bigger. On the other hand, there are nowadays so many hoaxes that we should not make them pay because we have had it with hoaxes. Everything that is said and done in the name of partisan ideologies are also hoaxes, the death panels story may be one example, and yet this is celebrated and rewarded with lots of air time.

The Balloon story is about exposing this man's abusive hold on this family. We all see it. And, keeping the story alive. Just might keep these kids and mother alive. We know he's evil... right? So, keep the story going can only help him to make the selfish move... to move out and leave this family alone.

Judge in Louisiana was 100% right about one thing the kids in mixed race marriages are the ones who suffer, I`ve seen it from both sides way too many times! I know for a fact while living in black communities that black men share the same feeling as this judge does only blacks have a problem with a black women being with a white man. Its a fact and it would be nice for CNN to show this side of the story! So let me get this straight its ok with blacks for black men to be with white women but its not ok for white men to be with black women, sounds like a true doubled standard! Actually it sounds like racism!

Speaking of the "moon bomb". You got footage of a Bear in a 7-11... but, not 1 clip of the "moon bomb" hitting the moon? Not 1 telescope from anywhere on the planet was aimed at the moon for that huge hyped story of the year? Nothing? Nobody anywhere on earth saw anything happen? Life on the moon as a possibility is spark enough to start a story that could have the world buzzing! What's the Deal. They found life or they broke the moon... is the only reason this story is snubbed!

About the recent attacks in Iran .......

No way they can pin this on US. The fact that they were suicide attacks exonerates US from any involvement whatsoever. That's not our style in handling things. It's either Al Qaeda or fed up Iranians picking up on Al Qaeda methods of doing things. If it is the Iranians. Good to see the people decide to fight back. But don't do it like that. Value your lives.

Are all of the people standing behind the Sheriff in the live press conference being paid overtime on Sunday to simply stand behind the Sheriff?

I knew it was a hoax my first time seeing the interview with the family and Wolfe Blitz. The child squirming, the dad asking for question to be repeated and knew he heard the question, and when little Falcon said, "we did it for the show" it was over. People argued with me back and forth about it being real or not. I'm glad the authorities are doing what they are doing. Because of this foolishness New Orleans, my city didn't get coverage of President Obama visiting with children at Martin Luther King School in the Lower 9th Ward and the Townhall meeting at the University of New Orleans. Sad how people use their own children for money and greed. Good story CNN. I watch you guys everyday at 5am and in the evening. And when I'm not, my sister, Catherine who resides in Texas since Hurricane Katrina texts me when there's breaking news!!! Sad story of abuse. Sad. And by the way, the New Orleans Saints football team just beat the tar out of the New York Giants!! 48-27!!!! Go Saints!!!!!

I think that the father should be charged with filing a false report and made to repay for the officers. I don't think they should charge these people with felonies; ok they made a mistake but it seems the father was behind most of this. I thought I heard on the news that the children were out of school on that day. I want to know why this seemingly able bodied head of the household isn't working? It seems that he needs money so maybe some intervention should be done but hopefully keep the family in tact. The whole family seems to need to be in some sort of counseling.

It appears to me that Sheriff Jim has mentally abused this poor young child (Falcon). This likely took place when Sheriff Jim and his posse of deputy's briefly took the child away from his parents to privately interrogate him.

The Sheriff is the true Villain in this ever changing and evolving Saga!

When will we hear the real Numbers????

The % unemployed is misleading. Look at the Numbers, from Internet sites I found the number of unemployed during the Great Depression was 12.1 Million. The 'Official' number for the current situation is over 15 Million. That is over 3 million more people. The only reason it has not hit even harder is that Unemployment has kept things going. It took 10 years for the Great Depression to be 'over'. Unemployment will not last that long. When it drops for people you will see a new wave of economic pain.

%'s are very misleading. Even the 15+ Million is understated. Get ready, the game is not over.

Regarding the mystery plane...the Northwest flight ....the officer who spoke from his house today was way way too comfortable saying this will all come out in a hearing now scheduled...

This is no mystery, but a planned event testing our vulnerability, or lack of vulnerability, by some branch of the military, perhaps involving northwest Airlines, or others.....the speculation by the media may even be tested.....I think this will be quite interesting...I doubt it is a hoax.

I am worried about the oldest son. His face during the first interview with Wolf was heartbreaking. He looked so afraid and maybe struggling with his thoughts and feelings. He is old enough to really understand the implications. I hpe he is getting some help.
