I just saw your report on Haiti wherein your reporter and a person she intrwiewed bashed the USA because we haven't put up a field hospital on the groud as yet. The person interviewed had the nerve to say " It's almost embarassing to be an American. " That report sends a message that the USA is not providing much aid when in fact the USA once again is the major player in relief. The US Navy had an aircraft carrier and other ships on site before anyone else responded. Each ship has a hospital on board. The aircraft carrier alone has a hospital with modern equipment that can handle hundreds of patients.

God Bless the hearts of Haitians and haitian descendants searching in any which way possible to find help for the victims. I am trying to be very brief and will not go into details.
I wish that we could let the big non-profit organizations provide the first help in food and medical assistance. Sending materials assistance can only be a temporary fix and will hurt their fragile economy. If you really want to help Haiti find a way out of their misery, please send monetary assistance to the big non profit organizations and the NGOs in Haiti, asking them specifically as a condition of your support to buy the goods they need in Haiti, providing thence a little boost to their Little Industry and their crumbled economy.
Haitians however will always be greatful for any kind of help.

Rebuilding Haiti will take many years…all of their past and current governments have failed…I vote to make Haiti state 51 of the Union.
