Why don't we use Guantanamo Bay camp to welcome Haitian Refugees? This would be a correct use of a close facility and a nice ending for it after all the abuses that took place there!
I lived three years in Haiti as a teacher and saw a lot of abuse around money sent to Haiti, while only a small percentage of the money arrive to destination... What we need is people who have a real plan to help and a budget we can look and approve before we put any more money in a bottomless basket. Of course, the urgency is to provide the basics for today life : food, water, medication ...
