Deportation or Degree: What to do with Non-citizen Students

The plight of Georgia college senior Jessica Colotl has spotlighted the dilemma facing thousands of students like her nationwide.  They entered the country as children, not of their own will, and now are trying to pursue higher degrees while facing risk of deportation.   This problem is far from new.  Congress introduced the DREAM Act nine years ago to help students who are illegal immigrants.  But it remains just a proposal.

High-Stakes Elections: What do You Want?

Voters are turning out at the polls for several high-stakes elections today. Voting under way in Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Arkansas – seen as a measure of just how angry voters are nationwide.

Being put to the test: Anti-incumbent sentiment and Tea Party power.

One thing is clear: Most of you do not like the direction this country is taking. A new Gallup Poll shows 24% of respondents are satisfied with the way things are going. A whopping 74% are dissatisfied.
