From Digital Lifestyle Expert Mario Armstrong:
Capturing memories on the go: Video cameras have become cheaper and easier to use, so which camera is right for you all depends on how you are going to use it.
I have 3 cameras:
a. the Sony Bloggie Camera which has a 360 degree swivel lens so you can easily point the camera at yourself
b. the new Flip Slide camera which lets you slide out a 4 in screen so others can see your videos easily
c. Kodak Zx1 rugged design & water resistant
2. Netbook – the HP Verizon Netbook that gives you internet access on the go and is very small and easy to carry anywhere
3. Apple iPad great for kids, movies, games and for reading books etc...
4. Charging on the go is always an issue when on travel so carrying your own portable power generator can come in very handy – the product is the Xantrex XPower PowerSource Mobile 100. You plug the device in over night and it stores 2+ hours of power. So let's say your laptop or mp3 player is low on power you simply plug the device into the Xantrex device and Xantrex puts another 2 hours into the device.
5. Mobile hotspots are great for the car and hotel rooms. These little devices let you connect up to 5 devices (like laptops, netbooks, phones etc) to get internet access. Sprint & Verizon both have devices that can do this, you do pay a monthly fee.
Look for Mario's tech segment in the 8 o'clock hour of CNN Saturday Mornings with TJ Holmes.
I was looking for a camera. thanks for the info. I worked as a 911 Fire Medical Dispatcher at SeaTac airport. Sometimes depending on the call, the first to contact dispatch would be a news station. Of course I could not give out spec,s, they would be passsed on to the Airport Supervisor, this could be annoying, because I still had to page others and take and make other calls. BP is doing great on info, they did not have to do this. And with the tech it's great you can actually see real time data.
