This morning the Labor Department reported that June's unemployment rate is at 9.5%. It's a slight decrease from May, when the unemployment rate was at 9.7%.
The decrease isn’t necessarily a sign of improvement. Discouraged workers, or job-seekers no longer looking for employment, are not included in these figures.
