With all the talk of a double dip recession and the possibility of a depression just what stocks are out there that are truly safe all the signs point to tragic economy and investment at this time would be foolish .

Alina think for a second. 9.5% unemployed means 90.5% are employed and that's in the middle of a nasty global recession!! Why all the doom and gloom? Maybe if the media started reporting "The employment rate remained above 90% for the sixth consecutive month." You would actually have a positive effect on things instead of the opposite. I mean forget about the glass half full attitude we Canadians tend to have, your looking at 90.5% full and your acting like it's empty. Come on let's get on with it. ^_^

Our joy of life has a remarkable similarity to the stock market. As the market rises, people do tend to relax a bit and concentrae on the wonderful things to come.

When the market makes one of it's remarkable dips, we all envision gloom and doom and the epic destruction of mankind. Our sigular prayer is that we may fall back to something acceptable.

In the end, we all know, deep down inside that everything will be ok and all we need to do is wait. Our system will start working better than it does currently. I did find that falling back on the simple things in life will soothe the nerves. Just you and a fish pole near a river or, the ocean, will ease a mind storm of fear. For women...perhaps a tall strawberry sunday will help.

Fear is the component that singularly destroys more people, careers, lives, than any other thing in life. Relax, enjoy life, fear nothing for in the end there is nothing more to be done, than we are currently doing. Find peace from the storm that rages by finding the simple things in life. Like mother use to say, everything is going to be ok ....
