The Tale of Shirley Sherrod

From CNN intern Emily Landrieu:

Shirley Sherrod’s story is not as straight forward as it originally appeared. After a video clip of Mrs. Sherrod giving a speech to an NAACP group surfaced, she was fired from her job at United States Department of Agriculture on the basis of racism. However, that clip did not show the full story. After watching the entire video, it is clear that Mrs. Sherrod is anything but a racist. Her comments were taken out of context. Although Mrs. Sherrod has been through her share of racism, she has turned those experiences into positives by only aiming to promote race relations.

Now Mrs. Sherrod is speaking out. Although coming out of a bad situation, Mrs. Sherrod is taking the opportunity to tell the world about her experiences with racism. She is devoting her life to change – and now, she’s even hoping to write a book.

This morning, we are asking if you have a job offer for Shirley Sherrod, especially if you are a book publisher.
