DIY Economy: Hauling Junk

Our new series DIY (Do It Yourself) Economy looks at people who lost their jobs in the recession then created their own job. Roger Panitch lost his job as a pharmaceutical salesman, then as an executive recruiter. He cashed in half his 401(K) retirement savings and bought a franchise– hauling junk. It's the first time he's ever been his own boss and he loves it.

Rep. Waters has had a longstanding dedicated commitment to public service. I hold her in the highest esteem and respect the work she has done during her term. The allegations against her are highly suspect in view of the quality of her work. I believe the recent charges are racially motivated.

When 97% of a certain "group" vote for a person that from all appearances appears to be part of that "group" what do you call it? When we ask the question "How is our President doing over all?" and 97% of one "group" say he is doing very well and only 37% of all other groups agree, what do you call it? Racist is not a color as the media would like to promote it’s an attitude and way of thinking no matter what color you happen to be! Of the 97% of that group many must be prejudice or racist.
I feel this President is one of the hardest working and I believe sincere in wanting what is best for all Americans in my life time, I am white.

I was so thrilled to have Bush out of the White House, replaced by an intelligent, articulate and imaginative man that race made no difference. Mr. Obama is the best president since FDR.
