The First Lady is facing strong opposition not from republicans, but democrats when it comes to passing a child nutrition bill in congress prior to a September 30th deadline. The bill would take away $2.2 billion dollars from the food stamps program to pay for an overhaul to the school lunch program which has not seen reform for five years now. The program aims to bring fresh fruit, vegetables, and new healthy alternatives to cafeterias across the country.
