MISSION POSSIBLE: I Make America Campaign

Today's Mission Possible is Mike Rowe.  You may have seen him on Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs show.  He's tried 300 of the dirtiest jobs out there, like changing a lightbulb 600 feet up in the air or cleaning out skulls.  His work is all about bringing respect to the skilled workers who make life possible for the rest of us.  We're talking about plumbers, rig workers, car technicians, etc.  We're expected to see a shortage of these workers in the next few years.

Ali – I was watching Jobs in America segment just now with great interest – I have often thought a job in the trades would be very rewarding and much less stressful than the corporate job I have – I have often warned our in-house custodians that if I grab their mop from them and start mopping the floors to just let me......... but I digress. I assumed that you would continue your segment with the Best "Skilled" Jobs in America and was greatly surprised and very disappointed that you listed professional jobs as the best jobs in America. Were you not just discussing "skilled" jobs? You really fell off the tracks with this one.......please continue this segment – I'd love to see a composite of skilled trades and the training required for them and employment stats, rather than consigning them to the trash heap.
