A Siesta Fiesta in Spain

From CNN writer/producer Richard Spiropoulos:

Snoring to success in Spain. In today's Morning Passport, we take you to Madrid where there's a competition to rescue a Spanish tradition. All you have to do is lie down and shut your eyes.

And cute pajamas wouldn't hurt.

Kudos to Nick Day. It takes courage to speak truth to power and he soehwd it in spades! It is time for Canada to take a firm and honest position on this vitally important issue. By doing so, Ignatieff would not only strike a valuable blow for world peace but would gain respect from the Canadian electorate – and the world at large. Growing numbers of prominent and very credible voices (so many of them Jewish) are being heard: Noam Chomsky, Richard Goldstone, Uri Avnery, Norman Finkelstein, Gilad Atzmon, Michael Neumann, Naomi Klein, Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela, Robert Fisk, Desmond Tutu, Chris Hedges, Walt and Mearsheimer .the list grows daily.Just the truth! Just as the scientific truths of Geology and Evolution are finally beginning to illuminate the dark corners of religion, a just and fair settlement of the Middle East conflict – essential for Israelis and Palestinians alike would become a powerful agent for Peace throughout the world. Ignatieff should take this long overdue initiative and the voters would surely rise up in support. Ignatieff has probably blown it but Nick was right!Pete Kirby, Dartmouth '54
