The Rock Star & the Rebel: Bono on the Release of His Hero Aung San Suu Kyi

2001 Nobel Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi is celebrating freedom since Saturday, when the military regime of Myanmar released her from house arrest. The 65-year-old freedom fighter is the hero of one of the world's greatest rock stars, Bono, the lead singer of U2.  The group's song "Walk On" is dedicated to the mother of two, who gave up raising her sons to fight for democracy in the country once known as Burma.  Bono told CNN's Don Lemon in an exclusive interview about the "cautious joy" he felt now that her confinement has ended.

A cosmic sigh of relief has overcome me. Lets hope this freedom is real and not just another PR stunt sponsered by the bad guys. In a country where Freedom is a dirty word some strange things can happen.......
