Although I oppose the rule tt is proper to suspend a player for violating that rule. Let us see if the team collapses as a reward to BYU.

THe BYU honor code has some strange rules. You are also in violation if you drink coffee or tea. I still believe that they can have any rules thy wish as long as the students are advised befor they sigh up.

Ali, you and your guests keep saying that Social Security are contributing to the national deficient. This ignores the facts. First, SS funds have been used for years for other budget things. This was a way to by-pass progressive taxation. If that money were paid back, SS would be very rich! Payroll taxes are for SS and should be in a “lock-box”. 2nd, most reports I hear say that the SS fund will not be low for some time in the future as it is now. Behind the drum beat to beat down SS is the political resentment of the popularity of the New Deal. 3ard, If, in fact, we want to strengthen SS, we should do away with the upper income limit on pay role tax. (I have no problem in raising the retirement age for those who are able to work; I would suggest eliminating the provisions for early retirement (prior to 65). But lumping SS with the military, Medicare, etc. is to break the contract made with America years ago and does not correct the theft of funds paid specifically for this purpose!

    Dear Ali,
I like the way you called out Mr. Buckley for, as you put it, irresponsibly "lobbing" untrue shots at our President, Barack Obama. You may have done something like this before, but I do not remember it.
I had just written a note to myself, in response to your discussion with Fareed Zakaria, that the GOP does not currently have any candidate with the education (formal and self-acquired) to be President of the USA in these times. And they are not setting informed models for candidates to aspire to. Thank you for your work.
    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth Sulzby

    Hi Ali

I am an Independent and have not seen any discussions on the following topic. The discussion about cutting Social Security and Medicare are out there and well covered. I wonder why there is not also a discussion about cutting the pensions of Government workers or make them pay more for medical service. I see no difference between any plan that Americans are entitled to and have worked for. I would love to have someone take up this discussion with regard to cutting government spending, but with everyone included.
    Thanks

Ali I have to agree totally with Elizabeth Sulzby's comments.
On another issue of the organ donor , of course he (the criminal) should be allowed to donate his organs.
Then the story of the kids playing chess and staying out of trouble, I think that's so great.
Which story is more great, the kids play Chess to stay out of trouble.
