Easter is the holiest day in the Christian calendar - when Jesus Christ rose from the dead, according to the Bible. Followers believe when they die, they will see Jesus. But one 11-year-old boy from Nebraska doesn't have to wait. Colton Burpo says he met the Son of God eight years ago when the boy almost died from a burst appendix. His father, Todd, chronicles it all in the book, "Heaven is for Real," a New York Times paperback bestseller. CNN's Don Lemon spoke with Todd and Colton, who describes what Jesus was like.
D. Lemon;"what did Jesus look like .....Boy;" he had beautiful blue eyes."..........hmm..............
Blog about Boy Meets Jesus 4-24-2011
I would like to congratulate the 11-year old boy who wrote a book about what he believes to be a meeting with Jesus. I find it very admirable; however, I don't think CNN should headline it "Boy Meets Jesus" then shortly after televise the boy saying Jesus had the bluest eyes he had ever seen. I'm sure the boy saw the Jesus he was accustomed to seeing, but I don't know if the force, which created his vision, was a divine one, when it clearly creates an atmosphere of prejudice. I say this because I am the incarnate soul of Jesus of Nazareth, not by way of a vision, but by way of proof God has given me. The proof is in my book, which consists of 331 pages of overwhelming evidence that I am. I am multiracial; many different races of bloods run through my body. I have dark brown eyes and my complexion is a golden brown. God made me this way in an effort to represent all people without prejudice. I had to write this blog for all the 11-year old non-white children. I hope the 11-year old boy's books sells well, like Harry Potter. Happy Easter!
Well if a little child says it's true it must be true!
Well, if you read the book – you'll know that his "vision" of Jesus was not impacted by any photos or paintings he's seen because he's become a critic of Jesus portraits since his visit. There's only one that he's seen that has it right and it was painted by young girl who had never been to church.
I believe this is a true story. My nephew had leukemia for three years and was in remission. He told his mother Jesus was in his room last night and asked him "was he ready to come home"? David replied "yes".
Three days later he began having a fever and was rushed to the hospital. He was comatose before reaching the hospital. He remained in a coma from Monday until Thursday and then the Lord took him away.
He never regained consciousness.
I have more stories to share another day.
