This is a shame that the media is listen to a fool liker trump who has ignorance showing. Question if obama was all white would he really be ask this over and over and over and over? NO we know that.

How many previous Presidents have been hounded for their birth certificates or had their college and university standings trotted out for scrutiny? I think Donald Trump is losing it.
I'm glad he did and put this baby to bed. Although I know it won't be enough, he is moving forward with the issues of the country! Although I respect his decision, I wouldn't continue to validate to ones with empty and hateful thoughts of him. He is a better person than me, but then I would never involve myself in politics on this scale. Validation has always been the devils wings flapping in our lives, and enough already.

No other presidential candidate has EVER been asked to produce a copy of his or her Birth Certificate and this is nothing but code for RACISM. This is NOT 1964 this is 2011.
John King needs to ask The Donald 2 things. 1st Proof that what is on his head is NOT a wig and 2nd Produce all those Tax records he promised – Obama delivered now he has to.

With so much else of importance needing to be addressed, this is a trivial issue at best. Speaking personally, I wouldn't care if Obama was born in Mecca. He's more American than Trump and he's performing his job well. I think he is one of our best presidents ever.
Good for Trump, it took a smart business man to wake up Obama. I am so impressed because for two years I have been hearing about it to the point of being iratated. I now see Trump would be a great man to run for President, our deficit, our relationships with other countries who now look at us for being so weak, also economically. Releasing the certificate shows what a clown Trump is – he suspected he was born elsewhere, because he was so blind he couldn't think the scenario through as how such a subterfuge woujld be possible. It's called intellectual laziness . It's too bad Obama released it, because it was a great way to expose all those out there whose minds are trashed. It was like having everyone who is a buffoon wears a big red badge, but instead it was : If he or she believes Obama wasn't born in the U.S, then they are obviously a buffoon. It was easy to pick them out that way. Now it will be harder to recognize the buffons out there. Trump, the most self-absorbed and conceited public figure out there, has already shown his stripes. he is blinded by his own image. How can anyone follow, nevertheless support, such a shallow personality as Trump? He's in love with himself.
No, the President should not have to show the long form of his birth certificate. He does not lie, he is as honest as Honest Abe. I do not blame him for going to all that trouble but I see why he did because he has so many issues to think about. We should show more respect for the President. I will not watch any program with Donald Trump on. I am old enough to remember when he went bankrupt and the banks all bent over to lend more money. He is not a nice man.
Donald Trump should have said "I am full of myself" this A.M. when he talked about the release of the President's birth certificate. He's seeking attention for himself and is not a real GOP contender. God help us all if he were President.
Why is this an issue now? We went from total catastrophe with a government shut down to our president ( Who has been for over 2 years) not being able to show a birth certificate. Seriously some people need to grow up and focus on the big picture....THE ECONOMY!

Was he an African implant over 40 years ago, to be given a magic word that's going to trigger his mind into turning America over to South African rule? I am a faithful viewer and I admire the content and quality of your new. This morning between 10 am and 12m, you ran the story of the presidents birth certificate. After running story on its a waste of time and we as a nation have more important things to do,you immediatly ask you twits and faces to comment on if the president should have released the certificate earlier. I am disappointed that you could not just let the matter drop and ask questions about some of our real problems. This is way below what I expect of you .
It is a sad commentary that President Obama's birth certificate is causing this much attention. This is a subject that I thought has come to rest, but thanks to Mr. Trump this seems to have been reactivated again. A definite political move or so he believes. A true candidate should be talking about the important issues in our country and we know there are many of them.

I am appalled that I live in a country where a black president is held to a different standard than a white president. This whole "birther" thing is sad. Donald Trump does not show me any personal integrity, class, or even basic intelligence with this whole episode. I wish the media would quit covering his rabid discourse. You know that it will not stop with this.
And so you know my demographic – I am a Midwesterner (KC), am 63 years old, vote "independent" and am a white woman who voted for President Obama and think he is doing a decent job with the cards he was dealt. More of us from the heartland need to speak out and yes, you may use my name.
I wish President Obama had not succumbed to the pressure of having to produce his original birth certificate. Why hasn't any other President been challenged about the validity of their birth? In my opinion, this has nothing to do with his birth, but has everything to do with the fact that the President is an African American. The "good old boys" cannot bear the fact that we as Americans base our votes on the substance and character of the peron and not the color of his skin.

Did anyone ask "the Donald" about what exactly "his people" found in Hawaii? He has not answered that question. Have there been any other presidents questioned about their U.S. citizenship in our history? Do we Americans really want Donald Trump representiing us to the world? With such "tact" and "diplomacy" as "the Donald" possesses, he would set us back decades...now he is questioning whether the President was truly qualified to attend the ivy league schools he attended...Well Mr. Trump it will be interesting to find out what skeletons come out of your closet...Unfortunately many people will listen to Trump because his skewed views fit their world view...I hate to use this word because I thought we as a nation had come so far but I truly believe racism is at the heart of this issue...of course they will deny it....but it is so obvious it might as well be a banner worn across their foreheads or "combovers".

The real issue behind the so called birthers, is the fact that the President of the United States is a well educated, black man. Who has led this country back from the ruins and destruction of the Bush era. It is acceptable for them to question his heritage, rather than to object to the color of his skin. It seems very racist for Donald Trump to question our Presidents proof of birth, as well as his intelligence! (How dare him)! Why didnt he question George Bush? Today when looking at the CNN News, I thought I was seeing and hearing the unbelievable. I believe it is a disgrace that our President of the United States has to prove his citizenship AGAIN. When running for senator, I am sure he had to show necessary paperwork. When its all said, the unbelievers will look stupid for putting our President through unnecessary means. I saw the birth certificate out out by CNN and I am proud of the fact this rumor will be put to rest. Now, I thinking they want to see his school records. I believe overall he grades were outstanding. All of this came about by people who cannot accept we are all equal regardless to out background and race.
In regard to Donald Trump, he should spend his money on getting a face lift and a new hair style. It is a shame to have some much money and cant find a better reason to spend it. He will lose a lot of money by investigating someone who is honorable and has lived an honorable life.

CNN I have listened to your Ms. Ali today and I am sick of hearing her place the blame on republicans. If I am not wrong two Democrats were the first to wonder where he was born. We are all not forgetful of that.. If a republican asks a question they are called racest. If a democrat asks the same question they are called brilliant and futuristic. Why would Obama's mother give birth in Africa when her husband was already married and had kids there? Okay, multiple wives are allowed in Africa. But then, why would she get on a flight for 22 hours, endure: more swelling for her swollen ankles, discomfort with safety belts, extra visits to small lavatories, to be able to deliver a baby in a third world country? Trump's "honored" to have been the only person to "make" the president release his birth certificate? Trump's honoring himself? This man is a bully, an incredibly cynical amoral man. He doesn't want to be president – he want to be an emperor. His ego will be his downfall.
It's sad that our country wastes time watching Donald Trump. Think of all of the electricity wasted watching this fool on television its no wonder fossil fuels are on the rise. It's also amazing that people believe Obama's birth location is in question. Instead of making horrible comments about our president with more grammatical errors than trump has credibility, we should all be focusing on backing Obama so during his next six years he can work to fix the problems of the past eight. Its sad that in the first 225 years of our nation, we accumulated 5 trillion in debt and in eight we accumulated an additional 6 trillion. I could care less if Obama was born on the moon at least he is trying to make a difference. Also if your going to accuse Obama for the high gas prices, I suggest you read up on the past three decades of US history before you make this assertion.
For all of you who plan to run for President. Before you get my vote you will have to prove to me you can lead and make the needed changes now and then and keep doing the job while in office. Just like a person working must prove by doing something that solves the problem gets the new job. All Americans should demand that any one that wants to be President must right now show us he or she isn't just making promises but only be elected by what is done before the election to correct and solve many things. In other words that person is able to create things that will solve many of the issues we are facing now. Get groups of people from all walks of life and experience together in meetings and throw all kinds of ideas.
This birth certificate is NOT a matter of race or religion. IT IS about Obama being "qualified" to be an American President. An American President MUST be born in the United States of America!! Every canidate who "runs" for President of our Wonderful Country should be required to "proof" their qualifications. This includes producing their birth certificate, social security card, drivers licence and every docoment that every other "American" must produce in order to qualify for ANY benefits available in the United States of America. (Even though we "give" illegal immigrants benefits that they do not deserve. Taking away from our American public.)
If "Obama" had produced his birth certificate when first requested there would not have been an issue at all. By NOT doing so, he caused the American public to doubt his birth right. I don't understand the reason for the secrecy. So glad Mr. Trump finally "forced" it to be published.
I like our President. We all need to pray for our country. And all need to work together to and maybe for once will see who the great leaders come from working together and you won't have to campaign so hard you all will be elected for solving and creating needed resolve. The fact that there are people out there like this commenter, who apparently cannot come to grips with reality, is precisely the reason that Trump continues to make allegations while the RNC chair comes on CNN and says he can't control Trump.
Speaking of which, the RNC chair's allegations that Medicare will be broke in eight years and only Republicans are doing something about it are, shall we say, spurious. Republicans would kill Medicare if they could. And look at both the Reagan and Dubya administrations. Republicans are very poor financial managers.
If you were thinking the place of birth was the real issue, then just you watch what comes next. My inclination is that most of us want to believe this was and is a single issue (birth place). But, have we ever had a single issue that drives the National Conversation which turned out to be so simple? Almost immediately, the real issues are beginning to surface in larger areas.
