I'm just wondering that if what casey anthony is saying about her father is true? why did't she call 911 at that tume so that she could have him arrested since her defence lawer said that casey wanted him out of the house when caylee was first born? I would think think that if all this is true she had her chance to really get her dad out?

It's tragic what happened to this little girl. But CNN needs to stop covering it constantly. Crime is way down, but the public thinks its up because of excessive TV coverage.

If you want to do something worthwhile, use this as an introduction to educate the public on dealing with unplanned parenthood and child abuse.

You're CNN, you're supposed to be better than this.

While I don't claim to know all the details about this case, her actions right after the death of her child seems VERY weird. A normal person who looses a child does NOT go out and party. I have watched this for some time, and I've noticed she is nearly void of emotion. Truly a sad story.

I pray that the justice this little girl so deserves does not get lost in slick legal chicanery. When you think of how many children in the world DO suffer at the hands of physical, sexual, and emotional abusers, we can only hope this defense has not been contrived.

Witnesses in the Casey Anthony trial must swear to tell the truth. Do the attorneys on both sides of the case swear to be truthful? Or can the defense attorney present to the jury information he knows to be a lie? Or must the jury listen to the truth of witnesses and lies of lawyers?

god bless caylee. i hope that watever happens in this case i hope that people remember this is a case about a little girl and not molestation. Casey is such a lier partying 4 days after her daughter died. only crying when talking about getting molested and no about her daughter. this is crap she should be guilty already!!

I was shocked to hear the defense alligation against George Anthony. I don't believe even for 1 second that there's any truth to this. I've have followed this story from day one. The videos from the parent's visit Casey praised his father for being such a good dad and grand father and to me those words that came out of her mouth was her feelings at the time and I found them to be truthful. How can she now say that she's been molested and assaulted by her father. Humanly behavior is what separate us from animals. I'm not saying Casey is an animal, but her behavior has been very close to the catergory.

Could "Zanny" be a euphamism for Zanix? Doping her baby with Zanix so she could party might be refered to as "Zanny the Nanny"! Hmmmmmm.....

Question.. If the defense on the Casey Anthony trial is claiming that Caylee drowned, then why didn't or why don't Casey plead out to child neglect, or hiding of a corpse??? The punishment for this would be far less than death. This is my opinion of course, but it seems to make some sense.

If her Father Molested her when she was a young girl then why in the world would she leave her child alone with him for any amount of time I think something is wrong with this story Why are her Legal team just now bringing this up ? I mean come on how long has she been in jail now? Seems to me that this Story would have been a lot more beleaveable if it came out at the time of her arrest and just because your family is all liars and perverts[according to her] I would think she would want to be a better person than that I don't know if she's guilty or not but so far she sure look's guilty

I don't know why the a complete day of trial can not be on trutv.

The coverage on HLN is nothing but commericals – you get 4 to 6 minutes of the actual trial than a commerican break and when you go back they don't start where they left off but on something completely different – this is too confusing for me. I will not be watching HLN after 2PM tomorrow.

I find this trial very disappointing – shame on what use to be counttv and their wonderful coverage of the trials – and now with trutv – this is just a joke with this trail.

Disclosing child sexual abuse stll remains the most difficult of all disclosures. Why didn't Casey this or that is the same as asking why women don't leave their abusive husbands. What happened to the suggestion that the child was accidently OD'd with chloroform while mama was partying?

interesting defense, and totally bogus, come on people. She drowns in a pool? what then? they put duct tape on a dead body and hey... she was wearing pajamas when she died?

you know who does not feel emotion? A physcopath. They have no conscience and feel no emtiona.. except self pity. They can manipulate anyone.

and the Dad abused her. We know she has a track record of lies. She had a worse relationahip with her MOTHER not father.

and if they knew she drowned then what of the grandmothers ph call to the police re Caylee missing?

Her father is taking the fall. what ? the father put a sticker on Caylees duct tape.
the defense is full of lies just like the entire family. I feel sorry that the parents have now been sucked into the whole thing

Nancy, caylee resembles more her grandmother then her mother, cassie, and with the contencious relationship and resentment she felt towards cindy could she not have felt resentment towards Caylee as well, since they spent attention and money on thier granddaughter instead of her, their own daughter, could this give a motive to hurt cindy by hurting caylee after they had that fallout when it was found that cassie stole her grandfathers money? She has nothing to lose by throwing her partents under the bus, plus with her attoney hoping to get people to feel sorry for her by making HER out to be the victim and taking attention away from the true victim, HER daughter caylee! She never sheds a tear when caylee is the subject only when she is the subject.

What can one expect with an ambitious attorney and a narcissistic client .

ahh good point Ralph.. can the lawyers commit forgery?
doesn't make sense re drowning in the pool and the duct tape
too convenient to explain away lack of emotion NOW.. oh yea the abuse defense does not mean you have no emotion... phsycopath does
when in doubt plead abuse cause it is not politaclly correct to say it did NOT happen.
where is the chlorine in the hair?
the time to have said she drown has long since past. and hysterical grandma on the phone practically accusing her daughter

Sure sounds like a smoke screen and distraction by the defense, her father and brother aren't on trial. If Casey were molested why did she trust her child to be left alone around her father and brother?

If the gas can was left in the truck of the car for a length of time, wouldn't he only smell gas, at the short time period he had to remove it from the truck? I carry gas for maybe 10-15mins in my truck and I can smell it even inside of my car for a time after removing. The duct tape whether he put it on the gas can or Casey put it on the gas can, it seems that the duct tape was accessible to either person. Why now are we hearing molestation from the father and drowning? There are a lot of babies & people that accidentally drown, you don't go and bury that person? An accident is an accident! If the baby was buried just a short distance from the house, why would that leave a bad smell? You would expose of the body as soon as possible. Where is the evidence that the baby was left dead in the truck for a length of time? Jeanne

Wouldn't a normal family go crazy the first day Caylee was missing?
There's too much cover-up here by everyone concerned.
I'm wondering if Caseys daddy is not also Caylees daddy????????

    May 26, 2011 at 3:41 pm |
  26. Jeanne R.

Father reporting gas cans missing, but not Caylee, well as he said, she wasn't missing at that time! Casey even told Crisp that the baby had a play date and lied then. She was happy after daughter was missing. No mother would be happy if their child was missing! You would be emotionally a wreck. I think she was moving on without her daughter in her life, but didn't want to see her parents raise the child either. Has her brother come up and testified whether he seen any molestation of the father with his sister? I hope this doesn't become another OJ Simpson trial? Who used the masking tape, if it fits, you must commit! They say how she was good with her daughter, well I also seen how good both her parents were with Caylee also. The last person to see Caylee was her mother! Drowning does not make any sense, this could have been reported as an accident! You would not cover up an accidental drowning! If accidental drowning, why would you use masking tape on the child, won't in your heart, you would want to wrap her up, in a peaceful, heart felt way? How could you bury her out in the woods in a cold grave? ACCIDENTAL DEATH????????

Why didn't Casey Anthony tell the prosecution and defense earlier that Caylee died in the swimming pool by accident? Why hide it, She had 3 years to tell everyone what really happened, Did she wait because she needed a scapegoat? If her father was the one who found her in the pool, why not say it instead of sitting in jail for 3 years, She should want to tell the whole world what happened, She would not have sat in jail for her father. how could you throw your whole family under the bus?

I just got an ad from a local hardware store and 2 gal. gas cans only cost approx. $2.99. Why wouldn't George just have gone out and bought new gas cans if the cap was missing from his old ones rather than covering it up with duct tape? The Anthony's garage was full of various sized plastic containers. It seems almost dangerous to leave a defective gas can in a storage shed and George would know better, being a former detective. And to waste LE'S time by reporting them stolen is just waaay too fishy imo. He knew very well it was Casey and all part ot their act to cover up the death of Caylee. By reporting to the police, he has proof that LE was there on that particular date and there was no body in the shed.

Also remember the fresh "planting" the Anthonys said they had done over a holdiay around that time? Maybe they had buried Caylee there and then dug her up when they had second thoughts it. The dogs hit on the playhouse so I'm sure she was in there for a short period of time.

One of her boyfriends testified that Casey and Caylee slept at his house in the same bed for about one week before she came up missing. Casey in the middle and Caylee on the end. The photo's you see of Casey and Caylee being happy and her being a doting mother are when she was at her parents house under their supervision...but when she was on her own and she was the only one in control of her daughter....everything unravelled. She hated her daughter for being a third wheel in her relationship. The boyfriend also testified that she disiplined Caylee mostly when she wanted her to sleep. Casey is trying to win again with her lies about her father; who has suffered so much thinking of his precious grandchild. Casey thinks that since he and her mother don't want her dead, they may take the abuse and accusations laying down to save her....I pray she pays for murdering her daughter!

Why would George Anthony tell the manager at the tow yard that he couldn't find his daughter and grand daughter is missing? And how would that cause a DIVORCE???? Did he know something?? It was never TOLD that the GRAND DAUGHTER was missing until AFTER the 911 call.... So how did George Anthony KNOW Caylee was "missing"???? HMMmmmmmmmmm... And IF Casey was the last one to drive the car, wouldn't she have the keys to the car? If he hadn't seen Casey or heard from her, how did he get those keys to the car???? And George Anthony KNEW the car was at the Amscot???? Why did he wait so long to go get it if "HE KNEW"???? And to bring a gas can with you to pick the car up???? FISHY FISHY!!!! How did he know it was out of gas??? Who carries a gas can around with them???? Didn't George Anthony usually keep them locked up in storage??? Whew!!!! It's getting INTERESTING!!!

I think the only reason why George Anthony seems creditable is because he has testified on the stand NUMEROUS times while working for law enforcement. He know what the jury likes to see and what the jury DON'T want to see... I don't buy the sad emotions from him on the stand. He knows that if he don't show any sad emotions, that the jury won't BUY his story... I think as the trial goes along he will eventually forget one of his many lies and slip up. Or he will have to see something to "refresh" his memory.

    May 27, 2011 at 3:11 pm |

And if George anthony hadn't spoke with his daughter since June 24th, wouldn't he ask his wife if she had heard from casey.... Didn't they txt and talk during this time??? And how do you NOT know which gas can you took to that tow yard????? He noticed them missing out of the garage, but can't remember which one he took to the tow yard???? Sure is funny how he REMEMBERS alll the things that benefits him 🙂 but he can't REMEMBER or RECALL things that would be crucial against him!

I think Mr.Baez is doing a great job! I don't see George Anthony getting upset with the prosecution he hesitates answering the defense teams answers. Or he has an excuse to why he hasn't done this or that. I think the only reason George and Cindy wanted to be in the courtroom is just to "prepare" themself for questions that they MIGHT get triped up on.. George getting defensive with Baez just screams GUILTY!!!! If u USE to be a former police officer, don't you know what u SHOULD do if there is SOMETHING out of place???? George Anthony was just trying to hide what he had CREATED!!!!

    Casey Anthony case..
With their being maggots in the plastic garbage bag that
smell also smells like a dead body. I had maggots in my garbage can and I opened it and it is the closest thing to a dead body that their is.
I think the box of Baking soda may have been used to cover
up something else that had been in the trunk and maybe the
pizza box was to throw off the other smell. I think after Mr. Anthony
saw the pizza box that he probably thought that was where the
odor was coming from and even thou the bag was thrown away the
smell was still in the car.

Today Cindy Anthony mentioned in the courtroom that they have been unable to grow grass in their back yard since 2008. I seem to recall grass dies around animal or human remains for a period of time. Is it possible that little Caylee was initially buried in the yard and transferred to the wooded area later? Hmmmm.

The way prosecutor can end nonsense about Casey being molested by brother AND father...

Brother Lee's fiance testified as to Casey being a good mother. Question by prosecutor...Ms.______ the defense has stated Ms. Casey was molested by her brother, your fiances AND her father, your future father-in-law. Since you are planning to marry Lee Anthony–does this not concern you? Do you believe your future husband molested his sister? Do you believe your future father-in-law molested his daughter Casey. Of course she will answer no–& this ridiculous cover to save Casey Anthony's life will be dispelled!
She is simply a psychopath with no feelings or remorse.

I've been watching the trial and while it's clear Casey had some significant issues with her mother (and vice versa) I do NOT believe she (Casey) would kill her daughter just to spite her mother. IF in fact casey wanted to be "free" of her responsibilities she strikes me as smart enough to know she could have turned over custody to her mother. It's clear that little Caylee was both loved and cherished by her entire family (and that includes casey) and honestly there was no need or purpose for her being murdered.

Having said that, I DO believe that Casey knows how her daughter died.. but I think it was an accident and I believe George and Cindy know that now too which is why they are supporting her. I'd bet anything Casey gave Caylee meds when she had no other babysitter, she would have knowledge of medications because her mother is an RN but I don't believe for one second she ever intended for her daughter to die.

Of course that's just my opinion 😉

QUESTION.....If George Anthony were involved in the cover-up of Caylee's supposed drowning, how likely is it that he would call the police regarding missing gas cans his daughter took? I personally believe that the last thing he would want is the police responding to anything at his home in case he were to get caught. He wouldn't want to upset Casey in case she were to retaliate and expose what allegedly happened. That would be a very risky move if he were indeed guilty. The missing gas cans would be so minor in relation to a cover-up. It's hard for me to believe that he would be guilty of such an act and then call the police to come investigate missing cans. I believe George to be innocent in all respects and very sad that he's being used as a scapegoat for the Baez team.

I believe there is a possibility that she was molested by her father as a child. Some people say she should have called the police but when your father is already in your eyes as a child the police who do you call. It would explain her lack of emotion at this moment toward her own child and it would also explain her rocky relationship with her mother. Maybe we should be asking more difficult questions like where is the childs father and why is he an absent parent in this case. Maybe she felt her life was taken away unfairly twice once by her father and then agian by being forced to be a single mother. Her brother even testified that her mom on many different account said that she was not a good mother. With pressure of abuse from your father then being put down by your mother maybe she did finally break down and felt her daughter was better off without her. I believe everything after the death of her daughter may have seemed unreal of she stepped away from reality. Some look at her tape from jail and say oh she so selfish she is worried about her looks when her daughter is missing. But i see a child looking at her parents afraid of judgement from them about everything including her appearance. I just think that her parents have a bigger role to play in her sudden behavior to kill her own child when so many say she was a good mother. Why kill her now, why wouldnt she do it when the child was younger what made her snap now?

The idea that Caylee drowned in the swimming pool is absolute nonsense. IF she did drowned in the pool it wasn't an accident. The idea that George molested Casey is becoming less and less believable every day. The idea that George covered up the death of Caylee is nonsense. He had no idea. Jose Baez is as much of a lier as Casey for coming up with such a stupid and unbelievable story and actually believing what Casey told him. I wouldn't believe her telling me her name unless I seen proof. She lies and thats all she knows. She's what we call a sociopath. The bottom line is that Casey Murdered her daugter INTENTIONALLY not accidently. She's a monster and she needs to be put away for life and the key needs to be thrown away. And anyone that believes she's innocent is as crazy as Casey. Thanks

Ok, it's starting to become more obvious as each day goes by that this girl is very sick (sociopathic). Everyday of the trial the state prosecutors pound another nail in her coffin. Sick, evil, vindictive, b.tch (her own last two words to her brother). Her family had no idea who was the real Caycee Anthony.

One more thing I haven't heard discussed yet...I recently saw a show on this case (I think is was "Missing") and it gave some details about the Anthony's ....was Casey kicked out of the house by her mom? When Casey moved out the family home around Father's day there was a huge blow up at the home between Casey and her mom (I believe the fight was about Casey's theft of money and/or credit cards as well as her not remembering her father in any way at all on Father's day).
Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that night, (Father's day) she spent the night at Tony's leaving Caylee with her parents. The next day she comes home, gathers some of her things together and gets Caylee. She tells her dad she is off to work (supposedly). Cell phone records show she was still in the area of her parent's home after her dad left for work. She spent hours at the house doing what? Wasn't this the day she "moved in" with Tony?

OK, a fight with her mom, angry little girl is going to show her. She has something better on the horizon now (in her little mind). Problem,..angry, selfish, little girl has to be a full-time mom now. Oops, that's way too much work for little miss entitled. Better get rid of unwanted items in order to live the "beautiful life". That'll show stinking mom!!! No one will probably even, ever notice that Caylee is missing...I'll come up with something..a lie, a good lie, she was kidnapped by the nanny, it happens everyday, people are so studid, they will believe it, yah!...I am such a GOOD LIAR!!!

Has anyone any information on this theory about the fight?

To Beachgirl, SC, CA.......You are one of the few who have made any sense (and can spell too!) The Bailbondsman (Leonard/cowboy hat!), bailed her out remember, he spent much time in the first few weeks in the Anthony home, he substantiates this story, that the night before, after the 'family fight', she took Caylee and left!!! What is going to be interesting in the defense side of trial is, they are saying that the 'body' was 'not' in the trunk.....then if Casey came home and supposedly saw her father cradling Caylee's body...what did they do? WALK to the woods? I am very anxious to see where the Utility Worker fits into this as far as being accused of 'hiding' the body! There are going to be so many 'books' written on this case! I have a friend in Australia, whos daughter belongs to a USA Sluth website and stays up late to watch the trial at night!! I worked with a 21 year old in the late '70's who was exactly like Casey....exactly! Gives me the creeps....I feel so sorry for this family....I just hope the jury can see through all this, but if they're anything like a lot of the people leaving comments here, God help the justice system!!!

I think the trail was tried during the opening statement. The state case is solid as a rock with substantial evidence to support all of their claims. I think Casey is a very scary person, and will not put anything pass her. I have been following the case since day one, and my opinion remains unchanged. I think when they finish trying Casey and proving her guilt, paper work should begin to disbar Jose. I think this man is a reproach to our justice system. This man seem intimidated by the prosecutors. I think Judge Perry, Jeff Ashton, Linda Drane-Burdick, and George are amazed at the display of gross ignorance of Jose Baez!!!!. Iwould rather be represented by mickey mouse or donald duck verses Jose.

my theory on this case is that. Casey took Caylee with her that day after she went swimming at the Anthony's pool and went partying. It was then, I believe, that she knocked her out with chloroform and partied on. When she was finished partying, she found her and she was not breathing, and Casey realized she was dead. I believe she took her back to the pool, and placed her there to look as though it was an accidental drowing. By the time George and Casey found her, she had been dead a while and George placed her on the grass near the playhouse. Then is when they borrowed a shovel, but decided to put her in casey's trunk and park the car somewhere. I think Casey was the one with the idea to put duct tape on her mouth, with a sticker. This could have been after giving her chloroform though. Just some thoughts

Please people, George had nothing to do with his grandaughters death, talking about her being buried in the back ground, she was not. Casey went next door to borrow a shovel, her mom & dad was not home at this time. she started to burry her in the back yard , she was afraid she would be found so she put her in her trunk, carried her around in her car until George wanted his gas cans she did not want him to go to the car, she took her to the woods after that, their is where she buried her animals when they died. Her dad did not molest her, they say the reason she lies was because she was molested. I was molested when i was young & also raped when i was 8 years old, it did not make me lie did not make me want to kill anyone, im 68 today. all i wanted to do was to protect my kids so they didn't go threw the same thing. you do not leave your children with someone that has molested you, she left her with her father & brother.

There is no way Casey Anthony would have let them handcuff and put her in jail if Caylee would have accidentally drowned. To save herself she would have told the police my dad found her drowned in the pool. Which everyone would have believed and felt bad for her loss. To wait 2 years for this story of hers is just one more lie. I've never commented on anything before but this is just disgusting to bring all these lies to ruin her own family . thanks for letting me vent.

To Samantha – George told the tow guy Caylee was missing, what he meant was she was 'missing' from their lives. When he said to the tow guy, "This might cause a divorce", I'm sure he meant 'all that Casey kept putting them through'. Casey was the last to drive 'the' car, but it wasn't 'her' car, it was George and Cindy's and they had their 'own' set of keys. George and Cindy were told the car was found at Amscot's when they were notified by the tow company. And George brought the can of gas because Casey ran out of gas over and over.....You also said George got angry on the witness stand with Jose...I'm sure he isn't thrilled with being accused of molesting his daughter as Jose has done, I'd have wanted to punch him out!

Just ask this monster in a lady form ,whether she wants death in the form of lethal injection or by electrocution...that's the only choice she should be eventually left's for sure she killed that innocent life who would have been otherwise getting ready for school and a wonderful life

The initial story was that the baby drowned, and Casey's father told her "your mother will never forgive you for this!", perhaps rather than confront what happened (negligence), call 911 and break the news to grandma, they (dad and Casey) staged a cover up to make it appear as though she WAS kidnapped and murdered, therefore the duct tape and body abandonment in the woods.

Who knows! That's just my amateur opinion after watching this a couple days on TV.

I believe that Casey did murder her daughter! Too many lies were told by her, that don't make sence!!!! If it were my little daughter that was supposed to have drowned, the first thing I would do is call 911, then try to give her cpr until help came. I sure wouldn't think about hiding her body. My guess is, that she didn't want to be tied down with Kaylee, after her mother kicked her out, but she also didn't want her mother (Cindy) to have her.

I think it was a horrible accident caused by Casey... I believe she gave her something to make her sleep so she could party and later found her dead.. Now she panicked and had to make a big cover up.. What would her parent think of her for what she had done... How she can live with herself for what she has done? She should just admit it and save the Tax Payer Money...

God Bless That Sweet Little Girl...

Hey it me ? , or is Jose Baez just lame in this trial? It seems everything he tries to "point" out when questioning a witness has just very little if any weight at all compared to the Prosecution. How much more time is he going to spend today, asking is item Q42 , Q43, Q44, Q45, the list goes on and on, about did it contain BLOOD? and the answer is always NO....and Beaz has this stupid smirk on his face, like the just stumbled across something huge in the case...NOT>>lol...NOT>>>..why does he look so darn excited , almost as if he has something good going here. ( I was laughing at him, he looks ridiculous...he is so proud of all these shirts not having blood on them, when Caylee was obvioulsy suffocated,..... um,,,,, duck tape Jose, heart shaped sticker Jose, remember these items? Wake up Baez......HELLO BAEZ>>>> to Baez....hello??............HE HAS NOTHING!!!!! .........Caylee was obviously suffocated, We have gone over this and over this for years now? Where is he getting blood from? I am sorry he seems like a 'NICE" man, Jose, but he is just horrible and very unimpressive in that courtroom, he doesn't hold up to the state, not one bit, they are running circles around him.

I can't beleive there is any question that Casey didn't kill her little girl, maybe it could have been an accident, but she is guilty no matter what. I am sick and tired of listening to her lawyer believe every word she says. The more I look at her I would like to slap her . She sits there like a lawyer with all her papers acting like she was dealing with another child and not her own. I don't care its been three years, she should be a total mess seeing all the photos of her beautiful child. She is a cold horrrible person. I pray the state can prove their case. I am not hoping she dies, but she belongs in prison. I wish I was on this jury I would convince all of them to vote guilty. How can they not.Casey I hope you can be Thankful for your parents ,they did the best they could with you .How can you live with yourself. God forgive you...................................

OMG It is so simple. The duct tape. chloroform. She was not planning on the Nanny story falling apart. Remember she had said at one time that she was afraid something bad would happen if she talked, she was protecting the family. She thought this out she wanted it to look like Zanny the Nanny had killed Caylee.

I know I am reaching far out, buttttt – given the new eyeopener of the syringe and cocktail mix. What ifffff it was looked at it from this direction.
    1. Who has the expertise to clean up a sceen of an accident and cause misdirection.( 20 years retired detective)
    2. Who has the working knowledge of the legal system and knows how to clean up car trunks and other items of evidence.(20 years retired detective)
    3. Who has the expertice to know about use of drugs and how they effect the victims.(20 years retired detective)
    4. Who has been indicated as an offender to Casey.(20 years retired detective)
    5. Who did not call 911 to let them know of his granddaughters missing. Hello this is a 20 retired detective, dont we think he would get suspicious to the point of investigating it himself. (20 years retired detective)

The who goes on and on and as I opened in my statment. This is far fecthed given, and give the little the public knows behind the scenes. Lets look at who might have aided this.

    1. Who if it were true had made horrific crimes against his family member, found someone floating in a pool of that family member, most would be freaking out, but this person would stay level headed enough to start damage control.
    2. Who would be sensible enough to figure out if they reported the drowning it would bring out an autopsy on the victim and the illegal drugs would be found.
    3. Who would worry this could lead to the allegations of the abuse and perhaps felt quilty about it and help in a cover up of the scene.

Well enough of who's, I know the old saying where there is smoke there is fire. The father better make sure there is nothing in his past.
Especially, kindling, because he could be burnt.

I forgot to add to my note:

About the tape. If one new about the drugs and the drowning.

Who would know how to use misdirection to set the stage for the investigation. (a 20 year detective.)

Although I believe Casey is responsible for her daughters death,I do not believe she did it purposefully. In deed, it happened due to selfishness and neglect to her child, because her social life was more important. On the repeated hits on her computer, I know that i looked up a site a few times, and the other day my computer said I had visited that site 381 times, which i had not. So the computer has a way of counting just on passing over pages,or back arrow activity, or something..because I visited this particular site only a few times Her attorneys need to research the computers abilities or imperfections.

I am absolutely appalled at Casey Anthony's demeanor during her father's testimony today. After watching today I am convinced she is a cold hearted, sick, demented individual. No matter how the awful death of this innocent beautiful child happened (and we may never know), she will have to answer someday to more than the attorney's who are trying to save her from the death sentence. I can't get over how stoic and unfeeling she is. Casey, as the mother of this child fess up for her grandparents sake so they may finally rest.

I'm sure that this has been covered and I've just missed it, but where were Caylee & Casey living at the time she disappeared? If they weren't living at the Anthony family home, why would she drown in the pool & why would Cindy be worried about hand sanitizer? And if they were living with Cindy and George at the time she disappeared, wouldn't they have known that there was no Nanny and that Caylee had been missing for a long time?

    June 29, 2011 at 8:39 pm |

If George had knowledge or anything to do with a cover up, would he not have found his daughter's clubbing, drinking and general merry making following the "accident" rather inappropriate and downright disturbing?
Clearly anything that happened that may have involved George was done with Casey's knowledge, she made up the Nanny story and she carried on with life as though nothing was wrong..
All the George business is obviously nothing more than smoke and mirrors.. I hope the jury can see through the haze..

I think the prosecution has done a terrible job in presenting any evidence that proves what happened, and who did it.
There are way too many unanswered questions. Like why didn't the tow truck drives smell anything? Why didn't the detective that sat by the swamp every night for months not smell anything? Why was the swamp searched and researched while a decomposing body was in it and no body saw or smelled anything. I had a dead opposum in a fence line that was over 40 feet from my window and I could smell it very easily.
Why was there any food in the trash? I suspect the police pitched never even remotely thinking that it would ever be used as evidence? I don't know if the Casey Anthony is guilty or not but if I was on the jury I would have to say there was no evidence given to support her conviction.

George's recent testimony was absolutely heartbreaking. When he was questioned about his decision to take his own life he said "He needed to be with Caylee, he was sorry "HE FAILED HER". I'm quite suprised that he wasn't asked why he thought HE failed her? My opinion is that he knew all along that his daughter was an unfit mother and psychopath and that she wanted little to do with her daughter. I think the parents had trouble with Casey all along and there were probably many arguments over her parenting but I don't think they ever for one moment thought that she would ever murder Caylee. I think that his statement "HE FAILED HER" was his guilt in not doing more to get Casey professional help. I think that his frame of mind is that had he, this all wouldn't have happened. Could this be how he feels he failed her? Sadly his little girl is gone and I think no one loved that little girl more than George. Casey Anthony – GUILTY as charged!

    June 30, 2011 at 8:46 pm |
  72. Megan

I am now very confused as to who is the guilty one in this case. Everyone in some way is telling a lie. However, I can definetly say I don't believe a word of either side of the defense or prosecution. Neither one has came up with evidence to prove their theories. I DO believe one thing and one thing only.......there is only one person that knows for sure what happened to Caylee and that IS Casey Anthony. She is the only one that can clear the air as of what is the truth and what is a lie. I don't believe that she will though. One thing for me is very clear about Miss Anthony, she is GUILTY and not for murder. Casey is guilty for being pure selfish. Selfish to the fact her daughter was missing and she did not call the police until 30 days after and within those 30 days she was out partying, as if she didn't even have a daughter. That is selfish! Almost as if she really didn't care about the situtation or not. I don't believe she killed her, but I do think she knows what happened to her child and she tried to cover it up and was enjoying the freedom of not having a child in the process.

Mrs. Anthony is hiding some deep dark secret somewhere, and is probably the reason she purgered herself when she said she was home and she did the internet searches. What she didn't plan on, was that her old boss would show up with those old records, she thought were long gone, and proved she was at work that day, and not the one doing the internet searches. Now I wonder if the Judge will hold Mrs Anthony in contempt of court, like he did that guy who gave the finger in court. She should be charged with purgery, if indeed she was at work and lied about doing the internet searches. I also think the only one in that family that is genuine is George Anthony. You can almost feel his pain, and can tell he really loved his granddaughter. The rest of the family has some deep dark issues that they are trying their best to cover up. As for Casey Anthony, I do believe she did it, but I also feel she had help from someone other than her father, and I think who ever helped her, is the person that dumped the little girl in the woods.

Thought on motive- It's known from videos, pics, etc.that Caylee was a very bright, talkative, curious little girl. Casey's lies have taken Casey her whole life to lay out her elaborate story/false reality, brick by brick, she built her wall of lies. With Caylee getting older and in fact facing an upcomming birthday, could Casey have been worried that she could soon be outed by her own daughter,as bright as little Caylee was shown? Or even yet, had Caylee already called Casey out prior to death, leading Casey to take actions preventing her fantasy, wall of lies from being exposed? Examples: No she doesn't spend her days with a nanny, No she doesn"t know any of Casey;s characters(Zanny,Jeff & his son,Juliet,Zanny's family etc).Where were Casey & Caylee relally spending their days as Casey packed up for work? If Caylee hadn't questioned what her mom was relaying to her family versus the truth,Surely Casey was aware that it was a short time to come before she could no longer keep all her "stories" with a daughter that was very bright, about to be a year older and possibly closer to being questioned by Caylee or Caylee telling the truth of her days to Cindy and others. I don't think this theory was brought up,so just wanted to add as somrthing to ponder..

As I watch the closing arguments, I remain hopeful that although the Jury has been sequestered and away from their families & friends for many weeks (which included 2 National Holiday weekends), that they take the time necessary to review all the evidence, and agree to make the right and proper decision in this case, The real fact remains that the ONLY person that will ever know beyond a shadow of a doubt what happened to that precious little girl, is her mother, Casey. If I were a Juror, I would have wanted to hear her side of the story. I believe Casey not taking the stand is the most damaging evidence out there. Only one question would have needed to be asked of her by the State and the Defense, that question being, "What did you and your 2 year-old daughter do on June 16th 2008?" Amazing how such a simple unanswered question has turned this case into a Media Circus leaving so many shattered lives in its wake. Again, I remain hopeful that justice is served.

I am surprised the state made a case of it in the first place. No real evidence. Of course she lied under pressure.
Will we ever know what really happened? Maybe Grandpa did it to cover up the sex abuse, or maybe in part of a child pornography ring coverup, Caylee was approaching speaking age before she died. The truth probably has died along with the little girl. And that is just the way the culprit(s) want it.

Of course Casely is morally bankrupt. Of course she's a liiar. But, the jury got it right. Just because you think she's a rotten mother, an immoral party girl doesn't mean her life should be taken without knowing if this was actually a murder. The jury got it right legally, and that's what our system is all about, not emotion. My belief is that that poor little girl died in an accident, probably because her mother was not watching her. If she had reported it, Case would probably have been charged with criminal child abuse or neglect, plus whatever charges come with covering it up. However, the charge was lst degree murder. No one proved it was murder, and although the outraged majority of the public wants an answer, they may never get it. That's still no legal reason to take a lilfe when the despicable defendant may not have committed pre-meditated muder. It is reasonable doubt.

I am sure when the verdict was read Casey's parents said "SHE EVEN GOT AWAY WITH MURDER!'. I believe they were not happy about the verdict. The Juror's failed justice for sweet little Caley. Casey Anthony was never held accountable for anything in her miserable life and now SHE GOT AWAY WITH MURDER! Her EGO is now bigger that it will ever be...SICK. She will never know freedom the way she new it again! I can't think of anyone with any brains who would ever want anything to do with her. CASEY'S HELL IS JUST BEGINNING, what a lonely pathetic life she will have. She will continue to destroy anything or anyone in her path as she has so clearly done all her life. Sweet little Caylee has no justice for what her own mother did to her.
