Nice piece. Thank you for highlighting this segment of Oprah's farewell and conducting a follow-up interview with Dr. Robert Franklin, President of Morehouse College. Dr. Franklin's comments about Oprah's beliefs for giving and the paying it forward impact on her scholarship recipients were inspiring. More attention and analysis should be given to the social and economic benefits of investing in education over incarceration.

African-American women have been steadfast and loyal to African-American men. My guess is, Oprah Winfrey would like to see the number of Black male college graduates grow exponentially.

Sounds like everyone is trying to get credit for the Morehouse men being on the Oprah Farewell Spectacular. The Morehouse president is saying it was his team's idea. The Oprah producers are saying it was their idea.
