I think that everyone that has been following this case, feels that they should hear Casey speak for herself, she should be held accountable for her actions. Wether Casey did or did not commit this crime, there are many questions that she has left unanswered. We all want to know what really happened! Casey should be honest and say what really happened!

Why does Casey Anthony only come to life when she is flirting with Jose between the jury coming and going?

I believe she should and shouldnt...... the reason i think she should is just to see if she will fess up anything like the truth and she shouldnt cause she has already lied she would harm her case more then help it

but the truth will come out in the end GO TO JAIL AND DO NOT PASS GO ...........

I hope she takes the stand. Jurors are not supposed to hold it against her, but they are normal people and in their minds they are probably going to think something like, "If I was being accused of murdering my child, I would take the stand and tell the world I AM NOT GUILTY AND HERE"S WHY." It's hard not to think along those lines.
I did not see the emotions that Sunny and others say Casey had during the photos. For one thing, she didn't even look at them. Faked sickness reminded me of one my middle school students wanting to get out of Math class! At one point, I thought she was nodding off with her head resting on her hand. If that was my daughter I would have gone nuts, not just some tears and a red-nose!

I don't think it will matter at this point. I think we have all found her guilty based on the evidence so far. You can't get away from her lies, her partying while Caylee was missing, the "Zanny the nanny" story, and the Defense crazy scenario they've thrown into the mix. (The Defense team is as crazy as their client) I've followed this case since the beginning. I feel so bad for Cindy, George and Lee (being a monther and grand-mother myself). I just hope and pray that this jury finds her guilty and gives her the death penalty. That would be JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE.

Casey sits and crys today as she is made to listen about her daughters bones. They say she knew Caylee was dead in june 3 years ago yet you only see her out parting shopping and talking on the phone back when the child died she knew that but crys now!! If she is sick she is finally sick of hearing the truth and having shooved down her mouth take her out!!!! she is beyond evil

It's a catch 22 defense attorney's reviewing the case say Casey testifying is the only way Baez can prove his point but the prosecution will have a hay day with her if she does.

Her family testifying for the prosecution alone speaks volumes. Even with bad family dynamics why would you let you daughter/ sister go to death row without screaming "no it was an accident"

Casey did NOT cry tears, she used her hands on her face to rub her eyes, and rub her nose. Her hands to use a kleenex without anything to wipe. She could not fake tears. Complete performance, tried and true to her fake grief. This was planned by the defense. She lacked real tears, and real emotion. They are playing to the jury. She often has a disturbing smirk, but her defense is stressing they all play the part. -quit badly at that. Truly it is so sad what happened to that beautiful little girl, who had so much potential – with a mother who could care less.

It appears the news media is behaving like wolves as they condemn this woman. To date she has been proven to be a habitual liar. She obviously is terribly troubled. But so far NO ONE has proven that she intentionally murdered her daughter. Her grief was obvious and real. How anyone can judge her and wonder if her grief was genuine is unconscionable. This was her daughter. No one has given evidence that she was not a good mother or ever even hurt the child. This evidence is devastating to see but we still don't know who put her there or who placed the tape on the child. Please stop acting like a mob and at least give her the benefit of the doubt and allow her to grieve when seeing these ghastly photos. She IS innocent until proven guilty. That is the way our justice system works ISN'T IT?

    June 9, 2011 at 5:16 pm |
  15. Cindy

See the above. Nothing would be her true emotions even if she took the stand! She is full of self pitty, and no empathy for her precious child. She can't even cry real tears for her only child. Her life should have been shattered, but instead she was uplifted partying after her child died.

Dont bother, she will probaby lie, lie, lie, etc. i do not think she will make a good witness for herself probably prove once more time that she kill her daughter . It has been so clear that she kill her , she left with her

Concentration camps should be reconstructed for women like this. What she did was beyod horrible. Why give her life, when she so callously took her defenseless daughter's???

  18. Paula Bandouvees

Yes she should take the stand. I want to know why the fact that in the beginning of this case three years ago , a friend was reported as saying that she did not want to keep the child but the grandparents wanted her to, for it was their grandaughter. Why has that not been brought up as motive? .

I think Casey Anthony crying is only for herself – remorse that she should have disposed of the body differently and self pity for what is going to happen to her because prosecution is proving their case.

Unless she wants to take the witness stand and tell the truth, other than that she should stay well away from taking the stand because the prosecutors will rip her to shreds over the millions of lies she has told as to what happened. The claim that the baby drowned just does not fit the evidence. The jurors would have to be delusional not to convict this defendant. I don't think anyone will ever be able to find out from this mother why she decided to kill her daughter or how she killed her daughter but just because we will probably never know those answers doesn't mean Casey Anthony didn't do it.

Whether Casey Anthony takes the stand or not will result from the decision she and her attorney make about it. But from a psychological perspective, I would be inclined to think her defense attorney would not want her on the stand presenting what may sound like just another self-serving version of the story. The jury already has been given the impression that she is a person who lies repeatedly to cover her derriere. Her taking the stand could easily remind the jury of that with an added sarcastic "Okay, what are we going to hear this time." Futhermore, the prosecutor gets the opportunity to remind the jury in great detail how she lied, about what, and how often it changed to fit new disclosures and discoveries. It strikes as too risky for the defense to do that.

Crying? Casey crying? Nah. She wants the attention; when the trial swings (finally) to Caylee it seems to me that Casey doesn't want her daughter to get any attention so she gets 'sick' and cries! Nah, I don't buy it. She would only lie if she takes the stand...she is a chronic liar.

in my personal opinion, whoever threw that child's body into the "swampy woods" needed to give it time to deteriorate so that as much "evidence" as possible would be destroyed, which could show what really happened to that poor child. if the father really molested the daughter, could the grandfather have molested the grand daughter? who drove casey's car besides casey? did any male figure in caylee's life molest her, accidentally killed her and had to cover it up. why didn't they call 911 if she drowned? why use choloform? why cover the child's nose and mouth with tape? i feel for that family, but the truth needs to come out ,so that they will truly have closure. the right person needs to go to jail for this murder. casey should take the stand, tell all she knows and let the cards fall where they may. she owes that much to her daughter. in the pics she seems to really care about her daughter, but something is being overlooked here. dig deeper.

If my child were missing, i would surely lose my mind, not go party at a night club. Also, her comment about the money that was raised for reward for finding the child, casey said, " that is how much my bail is". Like she wished she could use the money to get out of jail. I think she is an evil, self gratifying sick woman and she needs to pay for what she has done. She is definately guilty as far as I'm concerned.

i would love and pray casey speaks .i pray she would tell the truth about her babys death . i believe her baby is waiting for casey to tell the truth then she could finally rest in heaven. to casey i know your scared and your lost only you can find your way back casey .the lies you have told are your power .lies cant protect you .casey tell the truth and all the lies you have told will have no more power .find the strenghth speak up and tell the truth and you will find peace in it all . lies have no more power if the truth is out there. i know your scared really scared but let it go you really have nothing to lose .casey god forgives all god has your back tell the truth and god will forgive you and your baby will smile cause casey she forgives you let her spirit be free she desreves it .god bless you casey i pray for you to find comfort in the truth you deserve to let it all go be strong and tell your story nothing but the truth will set you free

The one thing I still dont understand is why LE never once asked her why she dropped off Caylee at Sawgrass apts with Nanny if she really didn't have a job.No one has ever asked her that.............why?

So... where did the name for Casey's daughter come from? Ca as in Casey and Lee as in her brother's name... duh... so has any agency in this trial tested DNA to see if bro Lee is the father?

    June 13, 2011 at 2:57 pm |
  28. Janey L. Smith

    1. If Casey had help "hiding" Caylee's body, she would have spoken up! She would NOT be sitting in jail for 3 years, facing the death penalty, with that information.
    2. When she was away from home for those 31 days before Cindy made her come home, what did she tell her friends about Caylee. I know that I would ask my friend were her baby was if I hadn't seen her for a month or more.
3..I'm supposing that the jury can't know until after the trial is over, that Casey looks at the pictures of Caylee's remains, steely eyed, but as soon as the jury is present she starts her crying jag and burying her face. Am I correct in that?

Finally, can she get an appeal on her inadequate representation???

to start off i am not saying this girl is not guilty of anything she did give false statements to cops and didn't report the missing of her child but i think she is covering for someone else in her family there was a comment made by her brother that he had a deep dark secret he would never tell.i dont think casey killed her daughter and i honestly feel there is more to this case and if she is quilty i feel someone else is involved plus they have no proof no fingerprint or nothing now come on people.

I think she had to have been taking drugs or some kind of meds that would numb her to feel anything when she was out partying after the death. That can be the only explanation for what she did. She must be heavily sedated for this trial as she seems to be in a trance most of the time.

Sue, It 'wasn't Casey's car! It belonged to and was registered in GA and CA's name....they had their own keys. Before Casey had use of the car, her brother, Lee, had use of it. – Colleen, they didn't know she didn't have a job...they thought she was working for two years! She 'lied' remember!!! Charolette, Duh, huh!? Lee and George 'were' tested and DNA did not match, this was done in the beginning of the investigation!

Watching the vidoe of Caylee visiting the nursing home, has anyone else noticed her deeper tone/growl and the swirling of her hands in frusration when she sas "papa"? Maybe this is something that should be looked in to. Jail house conversations ~ Casey obviously wants her dads total attention and love.

Casey will not take the stand! If she did, she would have to explain all her lies, her pictures of partying while her daughter was missing, the tatoo, etc. She is a liar! She has fabricated stories from the beginning. After all the lies, why would anyone believe that her father sexual molested her! As afather and grandfather, I feel deeply for George. Not only did he lose a granddaugher and her daughter is charged with the murder, but then the defense accused him of sexually molesting his daughter and involved him in the "cover up". I can not fathom a worse senario for a father/grandfather. And if George was involved with the "cover up", don't you think a police officer could come up with a better plan than to drive around with a dead body in the trunk for days and then dump the body in a shallow grave in their neighborhood. Doesn't pass the logic time!

And I hear alot of people complain about no absolute cause of death. Recall that Scott Peterson was convicted of murder and sentenced to death with much less evidence than the C Anthony trial. All the evidence fits together like a puzzle! Matter of fact, if I were the prosecutor, in my closing statements, I would lay out all the facts in puzzle pieces with the final picture be of the face of Casey!

yes i do because this secret that her brother and family is hiding i honestly believe either the brother or dad is the father of the baby thats why a father has not been ivolved i think she got pregant by one of them while being abuse.why else would the grandmother of her child want to hide this.

If Casey didn't kill her daughter, why is she the only one getting caught in lie after lie? If her father accidently let caylee drown, why is the mother out partying nonstop? If my daughter accidently died, I would be so devastated, I would confined myself to a dark room and cry nonstop and need to be on suicide watch. Only a person that wanted a child to die would be so relieved, that she would be out partying and living the "beautiful life". Casey is a narcissistic liar. And nobody, including Casey, has alleged that her father or brother is Caylee's father. That is ludicrous and unsubtantiated. Also if someone else, other than Casey, was responsible for Caylee's death casey would have come forward as soon as the police was involved and told the truth.

Casey Anthony is VERY GUILTY!!! She has lied from the beginning, she lied to her mother for thirty-one days about her and Caylee's whereabouts, she never reported her daughter missing to the police, she's partying days after she claims that Caylee drowned in the pool. The story that the defense has made up clearly does not hold water at all. If Caylee drowned in the pool, why not call the police and say I found my daughter in the pool she's not breathing send help!!! That is what a normal parent would do. Furthermore, if Casey was molested by her father and he ruined her life because of that then why wait until now to come up with this story about how he was involved. Why take the chance of getting the death penalty for someone else. If i had nothing to do with it and I knew who did I would definately have already told the police about that person. The one thing in this case that keeps me wondering is that Cindy Anthony testifed that Casey talked about "Zanny the Nanny" as early as 2006, why did Casey start lying about this fictional character then. This makes me wonder if this wasn't some how pre-meditated. Casey's behavior from the beginning is not that of a loving and caring mother. I would love to see Casey take the stand and tell her side of the story and her emotion as she defends herself. But most of all if Casey really loved her daughter the best thing she could do is tell the truth about what happened. But since the beginning Casey has only thought about herself and what will happened to her if she dosen't lie and cover-up what happened to Caylee. I feel so sorry for Caylee and what she went through. I hope to God that the jury see's through the defense's story and once and for all gives CAYLEE JUSTICE!!!!

Has anyone ever investigated the garbage in Casey Anthony's car, if it was stolen from parents house and put in her trunk? Items can be tracked if receipts are found on if it was garbage from her parents house when she went over there?

"Her grief was obvious and real. How anyone can judge her and wonder if her grief was genuine is unconscionable. This was her daughter. No one has given evidence that she was not a good mother or ever even hurt the child."

I'm curious as to when you noted her grief as being genuine? Was it when she was at Blockbuster hours after she now claims that Caylee drowned in the pool? Or, perhaps her grief was genuine when she entered the hot-body contest? Listen to the 911 call. Cindy Anthony was genuinely upset and worried to death! Casey was cool as the proverbial cucumber! No, I'm afraid "genuine" and Casey Anthony are strangers indeed. You judge the media as "wolves" yet you accuse others as being judgmental. You know, the whole glass house and speck in the eye thing screams to be noted. And, just to clarify, I for one am not wondering anything about her "genuine emotions" because I am fully convinced (thus eliminating the wonder of it) that she has none as they relate to the death of her child! Many parents that have killed their own children were wonderful parents-that is of course until the moment they actually killed their child! It is Casey's own actions that have put her where she is. Maybe, just maybe, for the first time in this girl's life she is going to be held accountable for those actions. Hurricane Casey has caused a lot of damage to others along the path of her life. Perhaps, it's time to pay the piper!

casey has already been convicted by the media and prosecutors ,why are we spending all this money, unless we can save her,i for one do not believe she murdered her child, believe her trauma as a child, she may have protected her baby from someone,i don't trust the meter man.casey's lies and strange behavior i believe are from her trauma, everyone convicts her because she is so unemotional,i know many people who are emotional and don't care,no one can judge behavior not even the best psychiatrist,i hope it soon ends and the family can heal, the real killer may be hiding in clear sight

I am disgusted that the jury couldn't even come up with a verdict of manslaughter. We all have been following this trial, and it will be on the jurors shoulders now that this killer is walking free without being held accountable for her actions. I hope you will be able to sleep at night with the decisions you have made. Still no justice for Caylee...we can only hope that Casey is haunted every night for the rest of her life.
