That is a Very Sad Story of a falling Angle; sign of the times, that in order to smile you need a Drug to feel Better about yourself, that turns into a dependency. Someone should have stepped up (Managers- Agents- Family- Fans) Tough Love is just not about cutting off someone to hitting there Bottom as it could mean their DEATH. I watched other Stars as, funds diverted as a addict will sell their soul to the Devil for a Hit, always looking for that first fix that took their pain away.. While there are a lot of programs Detox is first step (Rehab) (AA) (NA) to name Some. Just stopping is not a cure, as there is the Question of what pain or Hurt your replacing with that Drug. There comes a point where Something or someone that means more to you then a Drug (Higher Power) and I'm not talking about God. Something Greater then yourself, which gives you a purpose to live and fight. That’s why when I hear people talk about tough love what you’re forgetting about is you can't just cut an Addict off. You have to take their hand, and say I will be there for you, I love you and if that means me standing beside you day after day while you walk that journey I will. I would do that for any Family member or Friend because I love. But what do I know about love, God Bless

I agree with you Dr. Samuels. I have been trying to find answer on this tough love that everyone has told me about. The point is there are people out there in this misguided world that do love thier child or friend. However I for one have been ridicule as to why I help and stand by my daughter who for one has a rough go of it herself. Her pain and suffering is cause from being left alone by her father at the age of twelve, an abusive boyfriend, loss of a 7 month old child in a horrific accident. That alone I could not understand how to deal with. All this pain and suffering has unfortuntly turned her to use drugs. Her suffering has lead me to believe she herself needs love and the last thing I would ever want is my daughter went off the deep end because not a member care enough to stand by her. Do you abandon love? I myself have not been the perfect mother, but who is. My point is I know her pain. I agree with, that standing by the person you bought into this world. Love conquers all.
