Such acts of giving food alone cannot be a criteria to declare someone a hero. A hero has to have certain universal characters – and these have to be very strong traits. The strongest is clarity in thought and action. This act of giving food lacks clarity. it is simply a self-serving exercise. If you want to give anything to anyone in this world, then it has to be knowledge. It is said Instead of giving a fish to a hungry teach him to fish so that he can feed himself. If this Chef had instead tried to motivate these kids to understand what kind of food is useful and how to arrive at this decision for themselves then it would have been far greater service to humanity. If he could instill the clarity in these young minds that food should not be treated as a source of entertainment but simply a source of energy which enables them to lead a healthy social life then his act could be considered for HEROSHIP. To plant such ideas on the terrain called human brain is one of the most difficult task in the world. Chef here has taken the easier route. He is doing what is most convenient for him.
