The investigation into the apparent hazing death of Florida A&M university drum major Robert D. Champion is sending shockwaves through the marching band community. The High School he attended, Southwest Dekalb High School, is one of 21 schools in Dekalb County, Georgia that has suspended all marching band activities after the district says it found "inappropriate activity" at two high schools.
The district has not named the schools and says it needs to ensure programs are safe and positive for students. But parents in the area are furious and say the suspension isn't warranted.
